Story:

Once upon a time, there was a town inhabited by vampires and only vampires. When humans stumbled upon it, they decided to move there. The vampires moved, not wanting to expose themselves. Now they've come back, some want to kill and some want to protect. Now if only there was a 'happily ever after'...But we all know it'll never happen....Or will it...?

Bio: Toph's parents were always overbearing and protective because she was blind at birth. Always the overprotective parents she wasn't allowed to go anywhere on her own. It just so happens that one afternoon she had gone off by herself she had come back to find her parents were murdered by vampires leaving her alone in a large home in the small town. She doesn't mind for she gets along well on her own. Toph is also a long time friend of Cassie. Toph tends to dress in loose very tom-boyish clothes so is sometimes mistaken for a boy.
Other: Has always been blind, but can see though the vibrations in the earth, she was born with that ability.

Cassie sighed, bored. She walked through the park in Gale, an empty expression on her face. Her expression looked happier though, with her grass green hair and bright pink extensions. She couldn't help but giggle when people stared at her. She climbed up and sat in a tree, the branch was jutted out as if it was asking people to sit on it. She swung her legs lightly, smiling now. "Today's nice..." She said to no one in particular.

Toph leasurly walked along the side walk manuvering between the people who were out and about today her destination was the park. Most would think her a boy what with her baggy skater like clothes and bare feet, though they were bare for a reason and that was so she could see. Yes she could actually see with her feet through the vibrations in the ground that was why she could move about so freely. Her milky pale blue eyes remained unblinking as she looked ahead not seeing anyone in the literal meaning of the word for she was blind. A bored expression on her face she finally makes it to the park and settles herself under a tree leaning against its trunk. This was the same tree Cassie was in. She could tell because when she moved she knew the tree was there with her tremor sense and knew Cassie was in there because of the shape it prodced in her mind, that of a silouhette of a human figure where there should just be branches.

Cassie smiled a little, seeing Toph walk over. "Hi Toph. Have any troubles with anybody on the way here?" She asked, knowing some of the girls in town taunted Toph because she looked so boy-ish. She adjusted a few of the extensions in her hair, some were falling off from the tiny branches and leaves nearly snagging on them. Her green eyes were brighter than her hair, which made her look cheerful even if she was sad.

Toph grins and settles herself on the ground her feet were planted on the ground so that she could still see, hugging her knees she rests her back against the trees trunk and looks up at Cassie unblinking. "Nah I didn't have any trouble if I did I could have delt with them easily..." She grins up at her and then stretches.

Cassie nodded. "Yea, I guess you're right. Nobody around here is very tough except those new kids....Wonder where they ever came from, right?" She said, laughing a bit as she leaned against the tree, her legs resting on the branch.

Toph nods and sighs. "Yeah one of the guys somehow figured out I was a girl and he hit on me so I punched him you know playfully teasing around like one of the guys and his skin was almost rock hard. I mannaged to sway him a little, but he bairly moved." She recounts what had happened a couple weeks back. She didn't go to school with everyone else she had a private tutor beind blind and all. That was an incident at the market.

Cassie laughed a bit. "That guy was probably all muscle. That or he was drunk...My dad was drunk once, so I pushed him and he didn't fall or sway...But he did pass out 5 minutes later." She said, laughing again. That was one of few of her fonder memories with her father.

Rae quietly leaned against the school wall, hidden in the shadows.

Milling around her, the other students chattered busily with their friends, sending chills down her spine. They smelled so good, but she knew she had to control herself. The other vampires had mocked her before, saying that a little taste of their blood was sweeter than ambrosia.

Shaking her head, she tried to block the thoughts that were flooding into her mind. As quickly as she had come, Rae ran from the school yard. She could skip last period, since she was passing all of her classes anyway.

Finding a quiet place, she knelt down under a tree in the woods.

Toph chuckles and frowns sighing. Cassie always talked about her father, the things she would share with her always worried Toph. "You know you could come live with me if you wanted to..." Toph offers her and grins. "I could always use the company."

Cassie smiled a bit at the thought. "It sounds good for tonight. It'd be fun." She never really been over to Toph's house before, and thought it'd be nice for some change. "It really would be good for some change to come along in this town. It'd be exciting, maybe a mystery or something?" She said, laughing a little as she joked like usual.

Taking in a deep breath of fresh air, Rae began to relax. A herd of deer was a few feet away in the brush if she wanted to eat, and the teenagers began to fill into the brick building.

Taking out a book from her bag, she began to read. An ancient script, it was written in Latin from when she had travelled to Italy, seeking greater knowledge than her repeated highschool education.

Quickly breathing in again, she could smell the deer coming closer, tempting her thirst more and more. "No, I'll hunt tonight, when no one can see me," she whispered into the written text, a secret promise to her killing insticts.

Alex walked the streets of this little town and smiled.Alex loved to travel and see thw rold she was living in.She sighed and spun around.She laughed and ran over to a small park that was close by.She looked over at two girls talking by a tree.She smiled and ran over to the swings.Alex hopped onto a swing and began to push herself into the air.

Cocking her head, Rae breathed in a familiar scent. Jumping to her feet, she threw her bag up into the tree and dashed off in the park's direction.

Holding her hat down as she ran past traffic, dodging inbetween cars and trucks, Rae lept up into the nearest tree.

There was a vampire all right, swinging on a swing, infront of two humans.

By now, Rae thought, she could probably smell her, and she gracefully climbed down, still hidden in the shadows.

Cassie waved to Alex. "Hi, you're one of the new people, right? I'm Cassie." She said, smiling and giggling a bit. When Cassie got happy, she'd stay all bubbly for a few hours. She swung her legs around as they dangled from the tree.

Alex laughed as she jumped off of the swing and hit the damp grass.Not to far off she could smell another vampire.She ignored it and clibmed back on the swing and continued to climb high until once again she jumped off the swing and landed on the grass.She looked around wondering if the vampire was watching her.Alex shrugged and climbed back on the swing.

Alex smiled and looked over at Cassie. "Ello I'm Alex.Nice to meet you." She said.Still swinging back and forth on the swing.

Cassie smiled to Alex. "Right back at 'ya." She said, adjusting some of the bright pink extensions in her hair. She climbed up a little higher in the tree and leaned against it, standing on a branch. "Where'd you move from?" She asked, a little curious.

"I didnt move silly.I travel around."Alex said as she jumped off the swing on landed in the grass.She stood up and wiped the dirt off her shorts and looked up at Cassie. "Where do you live?" She asked
