((Thanks ^_^))

"I had a lot of time to sleep in the dungeon. That's all you can do in there anyways. Sleep and think. And eat of course. Although I could say something about the state of food." Lillian answered. She then figured this would be the best time to tell him about the clothing. "You know you could make yourself less visible if we got you some different clothes."

Just then the barmaid came up with the two bowls of soup and set them down on the table.

"Just put it on his tab, we'll be back for our horses and the others haven't eaten yet," Lillian told the barmaid. Who them proceeded to leave. "So what do you think?" Lillian asked.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 12:34 AM

Jonathan raised an eyebrow. "You're a demanding girl you know. You're very quick to give orders and advice...which I'm not sure is a good or bad thing. And I like my clothing, thank you."

white2fire 09-23-2009 02:00 AM

"It'll be easier to hide with commoner clothing," Lillian answered adding a slightly sarcastic tone to the word commoner. She smiled slyly not replying to the first statement just yet.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 03:01 AM

"True perhaps," Jonathan said. "But my natural air of royalty and our entourage of soldiers gives us away anyways." He looked down at the soup and pretty much twirled the spoon around instead of eating it.

white2fire 09-23-2009 03:06 AM

The girl sighed and ate her soup. Lillian was halfway done with her soup when she noticed Jonathan wasn't eating any of his. "Aren't you going to eat?" She asked, "You'll need it."

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 03:16 AM

"I'll eat it..." he said, slowly spooning some. "Don't you think those lousy soldiers should be awake by now?!" he grouched, sounding annoyed for no reason.

white2fire 09-23-2009 03:21 AM

"Why don't you wake them up then?" Lillian said, "They're not good guards anyways." She then recalled how Jonathan hadn't wanted them there in the first place. "Or we could continue the journey without them. Make the going faster." That and it would possibly be easier to run away. But she wanted to finish the journey first. At least the part about getting there.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 03:26 AM

Jonathan grinned suddenly with a slight smirk. "We should leave those idiots. They're a real hinderance," he said, sounding very pleased with the idea. He sighed. "They'd follow us though...I wonder if we can get away from them," he pondered. "They're like fleas; stuck right on you."

white2fire 09-23-2009 03:31 AM

"Get a change of clothes," Lillian stated. "It doesn't have to be dirty. Just get something more brown. Instead of that blue color." She sighed, Jonathan certainly didn't know what a thief does. "Look, just leave the sneaky business to me. And they'll have to figure out a way to pay the bill anyways." She pointed at her finished bowl of soup.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 03:34 AM

Jonathan smiled. "We should shop for supplies first and leave that for them to pay too. Trying to pay all our expenses might tie them up for a while," he said, leaving a half finished soup bowl to go gather his things from his room.

white2fire 09-23-2009 04:00 AM

Lillian sat at the table. She didn't have anythings with her other than the clothes she wore. As she waited for Jonathan to come back, she looked at his half-eaten soup. Sighing she told herself that she was already full and didn't need more. It wouldn't help with the traveling.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 04:14 AM

In a minute Jonathan came sneaking back down the stairs in more drab riding gear, a pack over his shoulder. He stopped by the table and looked at Lillian. "Well, let's go then before my idiot guard awakens."

white2fire 09-23-2009 04:28 AM

Lillian got up and followed Jonathan as they made their way to the shops. "Right then, I do hope you have some sort of a weapon on you, otherwise we also need to get at least one along with the food and such."

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 04:38 AM

"Huh?" Jonathan said, pausing for a second. "I'm well versed in sword play, but the large swords typical of our kingdom would stick out on a mission like this. My only weapon now is the secret..." he trailed off, then quickly recovered. "Yes, I should by a small blade."

white2fire 09-23-2009 04:44 AM

Lillian sighed. She'd ask him about that slip up later. "While we're on that subject," she said as they entered a blacksmiths shop, "How about I get something of my own." Lillian knew she was being rather bold at asking for something sharp but as long as it was small he shouldn't complain to much. "Just something small," She added.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 04:49 AM

Jonathan looked her over, still caught up in his slip of the tongue. "Can you handle a weapon?" he asked, surprised. "I didn't a think a scrawny thief like you would or could use a weapon."

white2fire 09-23-2009 04:54 AM

"Do you think people like me carry around big huge swords like that?" Lillian stated as she pointed to a rather large sword hanging on the wall of the shop. "Of course not. I just need something like a dagger. We use it for locks and such." And when people need to be out of the way, she added in her mind. But Jonathan didn't need to know that. She was already giving away enough about thieves as it was.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 05:07 AM

Jonathan mulled it over in his mind. "I suppose we have to work a bit like a team or we'll kill each other before we get anywhere near our goal, so I'll buy you a slim dagger I suppose." He gazed at the walls, inpecting weapons. Finally he picked up a thin, inconspicous blade in a plain sheath. But when he unsheathed it, he saw how sharp the blade was and the quality far outpassing what it appeared at first.

white2fire 09-23-2009 05:10 AM

Lillian saw the blade that Jonathan had supposedly picked for her. "And that one would work very well," she said. "What about you? What's your preference for blades?"

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 05:15 AM

Jonathan tossed her the blade and moved to another table. "As a prince, I was trained on many different sword types." He pulled a short, two-sided blade from its sheath and held it out exerimentally. "Nope, too short," he muttered. A long, light weight blade caught his eye and he picked it up. "Now this is true craftmanship. A blade built for speed, but still the deadly power of steel. That's my preference." He moved to the counter to pay for the weapons.

white2fire 09-23-2009 05:39 AM

Lillian caught the dagger, somewhat miffed that Jonathan would throw a sharp blade around, sheathed or not. She didn't stop him from paying for the weapons. It would be better if the guards didn't know they were armed. When the exchange for the swords was done the two moved to the other stores. They bought some traveling food and a few herbs for medical purposes. At each store the told the owners that the soldiers, who would be here at some point later today, would pay for the items.
After the shopping was done Lillian sneaked into the stables and went to take Jonathan's and her horse. Luckily the guards hadn't heard or were out. She gave a sigh of relief when she saw Jonathan waiting for her. At least they hadn't gotten caught yet. "Ready to go then?"

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 05:45 AM

"Yes," Jonathan said, taking the reins from Lillian. "We should ride quick if we're to get a good head start from the soldiers. Hm, maybe we should even alter our course a bit so they won't find us." He swung up onto his horse, rubbing it's muzzle lightly in encouragement.

white2fire 09-23-2009 05:53 AM

Lillian, now able to mount a horse, climbed up the creature and sat on its back. "I'll follow you. And the change wouldn't be too bad," She said and picked up her reins. Lillian liked this fellow. He wasn't the usual character of a prince. Sure he was somewhat picky but he did have a kind and outdoorsy character that was rare in royalty.

Kat Dakuu 09-23-2009 05:57 AM

Jonathan flicked his reins then and rode off, looking back to see that Lillian was keeping up. "Its much better now that its just us, the only one's that are needed on this mission. I still can't trust you all the way, little thief, but at least I know you're competent."

white2fire 09-23-2009 06:18 AM

Lillian followed close behind Jonathan. She had heard what he said but didn't answer as she was concentrating on not falling off the horse. At one point she would have to give him her name, just so that he could call her something other than a thief.
