Clantiz walked through the streets, making sure that no one was trying to steal from the caravans that were headed to the castle for the winter. His dark brown hair was pulled back into a loose ponytail at the base of his neck and his dark brown eyes held the look of boredom. He was wearing a black tunic and pants with chain mail armor underneath it. His sword was on his left hip and moved slightly as he walked. He looked around the small town, passing by peasants and other warriors alike. He watched the caravans pass by the gate of the town and passed him as well. Everything seemed to be going well so far.

Tzipporah had been awaiting the caravans all day. She sat hidden on top of the gate, watching every one of them entering the town. She carefully observed what each of them was bringing in, and wondered which one would be easiest to steal from. She laughed, knowing that for her, anyone was easy, I mean, she had already stolen from the kings royal bed chambers while he sat awake at his desk, how much harder was it going to get? She pulled her cape back over her head, stood for a moment. Children had been sitting around her, watching the caravan as well. It was perfect cover for her.

She looked down at one of them, who noticed her leaving. "You are leaving miss Tzip.. Tzip--"

She laughed softly, messing his hair up. She then crouched down to his level. "I have work to do sweety, we can play later if yu would like." He nodded his head with a big smile, and then wenback to her business. She stood up and walked down to the main city level. It was time.

Clantiz watched as the last caravan came through the gates, glad that they had all made it to the city safely. He stopped the last one and decided that he would ride along in the back of it because this one had the tax money and jewels from the war that was fought. The driver nodded and Clantiz got into the back of it with the valuables to see if anyone would rob it. He was going to have a bit of fun before going back to the castle and being alone again because unlike the rest of the warriors he had no one to go home to.

Tzipporah looked around, and then walked up to the Last Caravan. She smiled at the man, and he smiled back at Her. She was very beautiful, which she well knew and used to her advantage The man, looked at her with a grin. She understood what that meant, and jumped onto his caravan and sat down beside him. She talked to him for a bit, and then jumped off, having without his notice, stolen something right off of him. She was sure that he would not notice. She stopped in her safe spot, dropping her spoils, she would go back for them later. he then returned to the crowd of people, allowing herself to get lost once more.

Clantiz had watched the whole thing happen to the man that was driving the caravan before jumping off from the back. He followed the young woman and saw where she put what she had taken from the man before quickly following her. When he finally caught up to her, he pushed her up against the nearest wall before saying "I should kill you right now for robbing that man, young lady." In a deep and deadly voice. He wasn't kidding around here but he also wanted to see her reaction to getting caught.

She laughed, looking up at the guard. She was confident, and did not falter. "For stealing? Me? Oh no, just trying to make a living to support a few homeless children. Since no one else in this town will do so." She knew that she had been caught, and was worried for her own safety but at the same time, she was worried about that one child. He did have no one else. She was the only thing left for him in the world.

Clantiz listened to her reasoning before deciding that he would let her go this once but if someone else caught her they wouldn't be as nice. He handed her a potch full of gold before saying "I'll let you off this once but remember that no other warrior will let you off like this if they catch you and then I wont be able to help you." He then walked away from her, hoping that she took the warning he had just given her seriously because he would be at the castle from now on and other, more ruthless warriors would be patrolling the town.

She looked at him, curiously. She carefully walked up behind him, and slipped a note into the back of his pants, then disappeared into the crowd. The note read "You know where I feel safe, find me there at 8:00pm." She hoped he would figure out her message. She took the gold and rationed it, buying some food. She went back up to the gate, and split the food amongst the children. They all smiled and helped themselves. She made sure that everyone had eaten before she took a bite. She then told the children stories until their parents had come to collect them. The young boy from earlier looked up at her. She lifted him up and brought him back to her home.

"You are started to get to heavy for m to carry around, you know that right Lucian?" He smiled, nodding his head and giggled, holding onto her tightly. She laid him down on her, tucked him in. And then waited for the hour. Sneaking out so that Lucian would not walk, she went back to her safe spot, and waited for the guard.

Clantiz reached into his pocket after he left the young woman and read over the note before deciding that he would go there and see what she wanted at the appointed time. He first went and took a bath before changing into dark blue clothing so that most wouldn't recognize him. He then made sure to have extra gold on him before looking at the time. He then left where he was staying and went to the hide out where the young girl was. Once he got there he saw her and asked "Why did you want to meet with me ?"

"So forward." She smiled, getting up from leaning against the wall. "Must be nice to be clean." She noticed he had jut bathed. "Fine, I will get to the point. Why did you give me the gold? You could have just let me go." She smiled, looking at him. She moved the hood down from her face, pulling her hair out from under her cape. Her hair sat in long curls down her back. She had bright green eyes, and deep auburn hair. She looked at him carefully, watching his every move.

Clantiz listened to what she said before replying "I gave you the gold because another warrior was watching us and if I had let you go after doing that then he would have come after you." he had more gold on him if she needed it. "But if you ever try to rob anything from the castle I wont be able to let you go like I did today because starting tomorrow I will be back patrolling the castle." He told her and watched to see what her reaction would be to this fact.

She smiled. "Perhaps I will see you in the castle then."

"Tzip.. I'm hungry..." Lucian stood there, rubbing his eyes. She walked over to him, kneeling down beside him and broke off a piece of bread for him.

"Here you go sweety," She stood back up, and looked at the guard. "It is too bad I won't see you around here, but the king and I hav a debt to square, so I might just see you at the castle."

Clantiz listened to what she said before giving her the extra gold he had brought. "Here, maybe this will keep them fed for away along with yourself." He said. He then turned to leave and start his trip back to the castle and maybe, just maybe if she did show up he could request that she be made his personal servant instead of letting her get killed. He knew that it just might work and then he wouldn't be lonely anymore.

She took the extra gold. She sighed, she hated taking the charity, and if it was just her, she wouldn't have, but since she had Lucian's mouth to feed, she put him above her own pride and accepted it. She brought him back to her house, and tucked him back into bed, she pulled her cloak over her and used it as a blanket, curling up in the corner and letting herself fall asleep.

The next day she woke before Lucian and went to the market, she bought some fresh milk and went back home. When Lucian awoke, she fed him once again, and sent him out for the day to go play. She gave him an apple and some extra bread, and with that he left. She was alone again, and she was somewhat happy. She thought back to the guard, and decided that she might go and pay him a visit. What could it hurt? She thought to herself.

She walked through the town, and waltzed up to the Castle. Once she had gotten there, she had no idea how she was going to get in. Instead she stood around the castle, patiently watching to see if she could spot him.

Clantiz had got up early the next morning and left for the castle after he got there he went to his room and looked around, making sure that everything was still in place. His room looked as if he was the prince and in fact he was but he liked being a warrior so much more that he had his father pick his younger brother to become the heir to the throne instead of him.

After checking over everything he went down to the front of the castle and decided to make his rounds before lunch so that he could feel that he had done something with his day. He hoped that he wouldn't see the young woman that he had been talking with because here, this close to the castle they wouldn't be able to talk freely like that had done before and he did't want to get her hanged.

She noticed him walked, she laughed, wondering what she was doing there. Here goes nothing, she though to herself. She walked up to him. "Good Sir, I am in need of your assistance." She was smart enough to know that walking up and just talking to him would be dangerous, so instead she asked for help. If would throw off any suspicion. She looked up at him, with a smile. She wanted to pull him out of duty, potentially to join her for some lunch

Clantiz saw the girl that he had been talking to and was glad that she was asking her for help so that no one would think anything of it. "Yes, what is it that I may assist you in?" He replied, giving her a soft smile. He wouldn't mind going off duty for some lunch right about now and plus it would mean that he would have someone to talk to for a change.

She smiled. "I seem to have lost may date for lunch. And a young lady such as myself would not dare go out alone, would you accompany me?" Date, pfft. As if. She refused to go out with anyone, unless she was going to get something from them that she could exchange for money to feed Lucian. Since he found her, she took pity on him, and made sure that ever morning her had fresh bread and milk for breakfast, and then food throughout the day. Even if that mean she had to starve for a few days. It was unfair to make an innocent child starve.

Clantiz listened to what she said before nodding once. He would accompany her to lunch so that he himself could get a break and talk with her some more. "I believe that can be arranged, shall we go?" He asked her. He knew that if they went somewhere else they could talk more openly together. He hoped that she wasn't going to rely on him for everything.

She smiled, and took his arm, leading him away from the palace. "Where would you like to go? I am open for anywhere really." She looked up at him, letting his arm go and moving away from him slightly. She walked through the town with him. "Let me know if somewhere catches your eye, and lunch is on me today." She could afford one lunch at least. With the money he had given her, she could make it last for a month at least. She was very good at that.

Clantiz walked with her, not minding that she was holding onto his arm. He saw the place the he liked the most as they walked before saying "The place over there has always been my favorite." He wondered what she wanted to talk about while they ate. "So what do you want to talk about?" He asked her, giving her a smile. He liked having someone to talk to.

She smiled, walking over with him. She sat down. "Well, you are a guard right? But everyone looks at you like you are more then just that, so I would like to know about where you come from." She was happy to have some company for once, and he seemed nice enough. She was thinking that she would enjoy their lunch. She wanted to know more about him, but she was just hoping he would not ask about her. She did not like to reveal her own back story.

Clantiz listened to what she asked as he went with her. After sitting down he decided that she had the right to know. "I'm from here, I was born inside of the castle. I'm the older brother of the now crown prince, I gave up my title because I prefer to be a warrior." He told her wondering what her reaction would be to finding this out or if she would even believe him.

She laughed at him. "I thought princes were all pompous and spoiled. Not kind enough to give a poor woman money to feed children. Its too bad you are not going to be king. You would have made a great one." She smiled, getting something for both of them to drink. "So, what made you become a warrior anyways? Is ther any glory in it, or do you do it for another reason?"

Clantiz listened to what she said and asked him before replying "I'm not doing this for the glory but so that I can be out of the castle most of the time and talk with the townspeople." He decided that he should at least tell her his name. "My name is Clantiz by the way." He said when their drinks where brought out to them.
