War Torn(Open/Accepting)
 

In the land of Nol, there are many types of people. There are the guards, the seers,
royalty, thieves, and commoners. War is all the land knows after the king died. There has
yet to be an heir named, and the country is being ruled by the rich counsel of lords.
Because of the war this has brought on, many of the countries youth are now orphans, forced
to live on their own, or in groups. If one has any sort of magical talent, they must keep
it hidden, or they will be forced to go to war themselves. This is a story about a group
of orphans, trying to find their way in the world. They have all different backgrounds.
Some used to be rich, some have always been poor, some lost their parents too young to even
know what they used to be. They are all trying to live life in the country of Nol, but
when the government starts to kidnap other orphans, the group must stick together at all
costs in order not to be captured.

There is another side of this story though. There are the people who are trying to form the
government and trying to make it better. There are the guards, the counsel's mages, and
the counsel themselves. Who will be the next ruler of this country? Well, that is
ultimately up to whoever gains control. Even those who want power are too afraid to take
it quickly due to the state of their country. What is going to happen to Nol? I guess we'll
have to wait and see.

Weaknesses: Reallly weak against children and women crying, stubborn, can be mean, is
actually really unknowledgeable when it comes to women.
Bio: Reon grew up in a poor soldier's family. His father ended up dying in the war. Reon
became the leader of a small group of orphans. He steals from those who have more than
enough, to help support the others. He likes doing things on his own. He acts like an
older brother, or father figure most of the time.
Looks: Reon has dark spikey green hair, and violet eyes. He looks more like he's in his
mid twenties, instead of late teens. He has a bunch of scars on his arms, legs, and a few
on the right side of his face. He's tall and has lean muscle.

Bio: Ari grew up in a wealthy family. She's now a part of the government's mage order.
She doesn't understand what the government is doing. Her dream is to marry a dashing
prince...(Like that's going to happen XD). Her mother died in the war, and her father
is hardly ever home.
Looks: Ari has long blonde hair, that curls at the end. She has big brown eyes, and pale
skin. She's average height and weight.

Nil sits on the side walk alone she pulls her knees up to her chest and begins to cry. "mama..." she said in a soft wimper.

Reon walked through the town, his eyes scanning the crowds of people. Many were covered in dirt. It was a warm day. He ran a hand through his dark green hair. His eyes ciontinued to wander.

He found the ally he was looking for and took it to a more run down part of town. Closer to home so to speak. As Reon was walking he heard a strange noise. His violet eyes darted in the direction of the noise, and he saw a small girl sitting on the rode crying.

'Another one...' Was the only thing that went through his mind. Reon approached the girl slowly, and kneeled down beside her. "Hey, you alright little girl? You got a home? You should be out here in the middle of the street, ya know?"

Marcus ran through the forest panting as his sweaty shirt stuck to his shirt. He pushed the tress that came in his way; viciously. He halted to a stop and bent down to his knees. He spat to the floor and panted deeply. He looked up and closed his eyes. Marcus had nothing better too do; after the king had died and his brother left him hanging...this was all he had. He opened his eyes and ran back from the trail he had made.
Now that the sun had slowly started to set, Marcus lay against a tree with his head leaning back on it. After sitting there for a while he got up and wiped his face with his bare sweaty hands. 'Oh god...' he thought to himself. He grabbed his bow and arrow and trailed up the hill; leading him to his town. Where he had lived throughout half his life; after his brother died. The town was small and Marcus liked it there only because how the memories lived there. He walked down the street, playing with his bracelet and skidded to stop when he saw a man and a young girl talking right on the street. Marcus thought he should go and ask what was wrong but that didn't seem very likely in Marcus's sense. They could be government people. That's all Marcus feared these days; the government and their rules. And don't forget the wars. Marcus could never live with that. Marcus took a small step forward to his house and hoped that the two people wouldn't notice him. His breath was still panting from the daily run he had ran today. His brushed through his hair a little and took another step towards his house and crunched on a leaf right beneath his feet. "damn!" he whispered. He looked up to see if they and noticed...

"I don't have a mommy or a daddy..." she begins to cry some more. "i'm never will see them again..." she pointed n the ally. "there over there." she pulled her legs back up to her chest. " I want my mommy!!!"

Asia just looks around her shadowy corner trying to stay hidden and quiet

Reon gently scooped the little girl up, he turned and looked where she was pointing.

"Hey, come on kid... It's okay now. I'll take you to a place where you will have lots of brothers and sisters. I know you miss your mommy..but you'll see her again one day. For now you just have to be happy, and strong. You're mommy would want that, right? Don't worry, this country will be right back to the way it's suppose to be. Now please stop crying...please?" Reon rubbed her back and looked straight at Marcus and in the direction of the corner "You two too, huh?"

Reon looked the boy up and down, but said nothing. The guy looked like he was about to run away or something.He muttered, "This war just keeps getting worse everyday."

He already had 8 kids to take care of. What was 3 more? Plus the boy and the girl looked to be a bit older, they could help him gather things for the little ones.

Nil looks up at Reon Wait I need to get my dollie..." she climbs out of his arms and walks over to her dead mothers body. she grabs a small little rag doll that had a corkie smile and a small bow in its hair. she kissed her mother and father goodbye and wispered something to them. Nil walks over to reon. "we can go now" she said trying to sound brave

Alexandria came out around the corner seeing a young girl and older boy near a womans dead body. She was sure the woman was dead because she couldn't feel her life force nor could she see it. She came out into cleaf view easily seen because hf her white clothes, skin, and hair. Alexandria looked almost ghostly among this wartorn area.

"And that makes four" Reon commented when he saw the pale girl. "Okay, what are your names..?"

He picked Nil up and looked from each of them. There was always meetings like this. So to be honest he was used to seeing large groups of children and teens together. Offer one help, and you end up helping ten sometimes. Reon didn't mind. There was only one little one. Now that she stopped crying, the tightness in his chest had stopped. He always felt so guilty when he cried.

Kids weren't afraid of Reon though. While adults looked at him like the scum of the earth, children viewed him more like a kind mutt on the loose.

Alexandria came closer to the group and answered Reon in a calm and even tone "Alexandria" A couple of butterflies flitted about around Alexandria. As Alexandria looked at Reon she judged him to be in his twenties. Again she spoke to Reon "What's your name?"

Nil pulled Reons face to look at her. "Me Nil, where are we going?" she asked him. she looked at the other girl and smiled " Nil like Alix"

Asia watches all of this from the safety of her shadow but shifts and her shoes scrape the floor. "darnit!"

Alexandria hears the sound of scraping and quickly turned around lighting up the area with a ball of white light on her hand allowing the group to see who it was that made the noise.

Asia tries to move out of the light, but fails. "hi." she says quietly.

((sorry guys but i have class tomorrow so i gotta hit the hay))

"Hello.. I'm Reon. My family helps take care of orphans..and.. people like this little girl...and you guys obviously.." Reon waved his hand. He chuckled at how quiet Asia was. "Don't be afraid. My sword is for protection and cutting purse strings, I promise."

His smile faltered, he wasn't really the type that could smile easily. "Would you all like to go to the hide out with me? We could use more helping hands around there....Not that you can do much Nil. You'll have to stick with gathering supplies with the other little ones. We have to move quickly though. It'll be dark in a few hours, and once that happens, the guards will be up and about."

Alexandria walks over to the girl feeling her spiritual energy. It didn't feel threatening with as little energy as she was putting off but with this war you couldn't be too careful. Unfortunately she trusted easil which has gotten her in trouble a million times over. She pointed to Reon witg her non glowinb hand saying "He's helping" She waits for the girls answer. As she stood still the ball or light was letting off a soft heat warming up the area around them.

"Reon i want you to meet Nils dollie..." Nil said as she pulled his face closer to hers. "Nils dollie is Dorthy... its Nils Dorthy doll." She smiled and held the doll up. "do you like her?" she asked.

Marcus opened his mouth to say something but he shut it. He looked around him and walked to his house not looking at the people. He wished that the man wouldn't ask any thing...He walked right past them with a smooth movement...

Reon watched Marcus leave, then looked at the girls, and then at little Nil again.

"Yeah, I like Dorothy. She's cute." He said, smiling softly. On the inside, he wondered why the boy had completely ignored him. 'Heh..I'll just have to come back here again..'

"Hey, you guys might not want to use too much magic, okay? If the governments mages detect us..then we'll have a lot of trouble." He picked up Nil once more, and sighed slightly. A small gust of wind blew through.

Arisai walked through the market place. She saw many shops. What she really wanted right now was fruit tough, and she knew the perfect place to get some. She saw the booth, with the elderly old man the the delicious colorful looking fruit.

She smiled, touching her blonde hair for a mere second as she looked for some apples. "Hello Hirashio. You have a lot of nice looking fruit, as usual."

The girl smiled, and picked up one, examining it closely.

Alexandria turned back to Reon and nodded lowering her light output but still still lighting the area around them. "If it wasn't for this war I wouldn't have to worry about that" She said that with a sad tone. This war was what took her family at a very young age.
