Setting:

A small island to the furthermost southeast of the world that no one has discovered or heard of before... until now. The flora and fauna are seemingly alien and colorful, the geography wild and varied. Furthermore, it's steeped with magic, to those who can sense it. Other than the strange animals, it seems to be largely uninhabited. It is up to our hapless shipwreckees/intrepid explorers to discover the island's mysteries.

Note: This is a medeival fantasy setting.

Rules:

1. I want to see legible typing. Mind your grammar, punctuation, and spelling, please. Typos are excusable.

2. No god-moding or auto-hitting. Examples of god-moding are: Having your character use very powerful magic or doing anything difficult seemingly effortlessly, having all strengths and no or inconsequential weaknesses, forcing outcomes on the setting or other characters, et cetera.

3. Don't assume things. That means no saying, "Oh my, there's a purple ant eater!" about the setting, or "Wait! I know this place! This is the lost kingdom of so-and-so!" or "GASP! (Other character) is part of the secret bloodline!" I'm the Game Master and I intend to give you all the details as we go along- furthermore most people have put a lot of work into their characters and don't appreciate someone coming along and trying to assert something about them that isn't part of their history.

4. I will not accept any character sheets with pictures that are based on a character belonging to a copyrighted series, or art being used without the artist's permission. I will only accept art that you've drawn yourself, or a friend has drawn for you. And I won't accept characters from a copyrighted game, TV, or book series, or based too closely on such a character.

5. I will be imposing a posting order for order's sake. I've tried going without one before and it turned into chaos for me. I don't want to have to experience that again. Intros are posted on a first-come basis, after which post order is established by who posted first, second, and so on.

The only remarkable thing about Rebecca is her eyes, which are a purple dark enough to look black to any casual observer. But since she's quiet and hardly raises her eyes, few would suspect this detail.

Equipment: Only what Becca had in her pockets when she was swept over bored. A small knife she used for eating, thread and needle, Lint, and a sparkly rocked she picked up from the beach before they boarded.

Beginning

Foam-crested waves lapped at the shore rythmically. The sound and sight of the sea was soothingly familiar. The dark, green-blue water sparkled in the sunlight, the calls of sea birds mixing with the sounds of the forest behind her.

Eirwyn sat in the white, fine sand of the beach, her knees raised before her and arms resting across her knees. The bottom of her robe had been torn off, revealing the pants and boots beneath, and her staff and bag lay beside her. This was all she had with her on the island. Behind her, rows of trees rose up, their bark a dark, deep purple, most the branches bare. There were rustlings and calls in the woods that were otherworldly, and the mage didn't relish the idea of going in alone. So she sat, and watched the sea, and waited.

Sunlight…the sun was what woke her up. Groaning Lusalma opened her eyes and winced in pain as the stabbing light of white rays caused black spots to dance on her eyeballs. Rolling over with a sleepy moan Lusalma relaxed into the warm sand for about, oh 3 seconds. Pushing herself upwards with a grunt of effort Lusalma looked around with narrowed eyes. . ‘Beach, sea, clouds, gulls, forest, purple, su- Wait purple?’ Stopping her recollection Lusalma turned her head sharply in the direction of the forest. And again, the stretch of purple. Curious Lusalma pushed herself upright and took one step towards the forest and…tripped. Falling flat on her face Lusalma huffed in annoyance, causing a cloud of sand to settle on her face, and looked towards her feet. Absently noting that she wore white gloves, black army boots, white, tooled leather belt, tight black, fish net shirt, red pants of unknown material AND glowing skin with glowing red hair. However! That didn’t matter, what did was the cord tangled around her foot that is tied rather tightly around her ankle. Curious Lusalma tugged on the cord got resistance. Frowning now Lusalma straightened herself up onto her knees and grabbing the mysterious cord HAULED BACK with all her strength. After several initial moments of resistance the cord suddenly went slack and Lusalma knew blackness.
Sun….again,, ‘Wait again? why is there sun at all?! I should be in-‘ Lusalma’s eyes popped open and Lusalma bolted upright. Woozy with a sudden rush of blood to her head Lusalma looked around frantically, hoping to see neon lights, beds, walls, people! …There was nothing. Looking down beside her Lusalma saw a box, with red on one corner. Frowning at a feeling of déjà vu Lusalma raised a hand to steady her woozy head. Feeling wetness Lusalma pulled her hand back and saw red. Curious Lusalma licked the red stuff on her hand and tasted blood. After several seconds a metaphorical light bulb went off over her head and looking between the red cornered box and her hand Lusalma frowned angrily and kicked the box…or tried to.
Tripping on the tangled cord Lusalma fell backwards and frowning at the sky wondered why she had a cord tied around her ankle…Sitting up Lusalma found the cord around her ankle and following the cord untangled it until it ended up tied to the box…
Plastered on the box in BIG, red, glaring letters was the warning,‘DON’T LOSE THE BOX!!’ Snorting at the ridiculous notion that you could LOSE a box when you WANTED to get rid of it Lusalma reached towards the circle the cord was tied on to and as soon as she touched it, she jerked her hand back…the box was warm...too warm.
Curious now Lusalma stretched her hand yet again to touch the box and feeling no change in temperature or an otherwise indication of sentience picked it up. Turning it this way and that in the light Lusalma frowned as she felt a niggling sense of confusion. Then she remembered, where did the cord go?! Setting the box down harshly she let go and stumbling up tripped over the cord. Staring at the cloud filled sky Lusalma sat up and touched the box, no cord, let go of the box, cord, touched the box, no cord, let go of the box, cord…”ARGH!!” Turning Lusalma stood up and stomped off, jerking her right foot extra hard every 2nd step as she dragged the box along with her.
After several minutes worth of stomping Lusalma stopped, panting in exhaustion. Glaring down at the innocently twinkling box Lusalma snarled and turned her back to the box and as she was about to continue striding she saw a movement out of the corner of her eye. Pausing and frowning in confusion Lusalma turned and stared at a dark figure crouched on the white sand…
