Oni walked past Dante without realizing he was there. Oni was to deep in thought to really pay attention. Oni bumped into a tree, rubbed his head and continued on. Should he hurt himself to help his brother? Oni had never been so scared. He did not like the thought of pain but he could not let his brother die. Oni stopped for a moment and decided to test something. He hadn't done this on purpose since they made him do it at the facility. It had happened the other day but that, he now knew, had been Xanic's doing. Perhaps if he did it they effects wouldn't be as bad. Besides there were less people nearby. Oni dropped all his control from his empathy and screamed in pain. He dropped to his knees and held his head as pain lanced through it. The flood of even minor emotions was too painful. Oni shut off his empathy as quickly as he had let the shields go down. Crying he hugged himself. This was going to be harder than he thought. Shaking badly he got up and went back to the inn. He slipped inside and curled up on one of the sofas.

Dante watched Oni carefully as he headed past, his eyes narrowing a bit. He wasn't paying attention at all. He was so careless. Dante had been about to follow the boy when he suddenly collapsed and screamed out in pain. Why- what had happened? Dante had been watching, be he hadn't seen anything at all!

He bit his lip, contemplating on wither he should break his cover or not. Thankfully it ended soon and the sniffing, sobbing Oni had headed off towards the Inn once more. Dante only felt a twinge of guilt as he followed after, making sure to been a careful eye on the boy. What had just happened? Obviously Oni hadn't been freaking out over it, so, he'd done it to himself?

Oh well...

Dante abused Oni's lack of awareness. As Oni walking into the Inn, he hurried to catch up. By the time he'd gotten inside, though, Oni had already reached a couch. He rushed up to Oni's side, flopping his arms over the boy and grinning wildly down at Oni. "Mr. Oni, you look so sad. You okay?"

((Okay! I can hop in now, and not be stuck all alone...))

Pre'acha'n yawned, turning over in his bed and falling out. "OW!" He got up, rubbing one eye and yawning again. He opened his door, walking downstairs and peeking in the kitchen for food. "Cool, cereal." He poured himself a bowl, carrying in onto the main room and sitting near the couch. "Oni, are you alright?" he asked, spooning some into his mouth.

Dante's face went red as Oni pulled him in and clung to him. He grabbed the boy's arm for support before looking away. It was only moments after that things grew very awkward for him. He was being nuzzled of all things! He bit his lip, trying to force himself to relax under these conditions. "If you're hungry, then let's have ice cream!" He hummed before grinning up to Oni. "I want Vanilla!"

Oh, thank God Saorla had been here. If he hadn't had at least one empathetic being near him, he'd die. At least, the people he'd met besides Oni seemed not to care. Oni, at the time, had been too drugged up to notice. He had been able to relax in his surroundings at least. He could finally return to acting his part rather than storming around pissed off.

Dante's expression fell at Oni's comment. It was forced. So, he be going that path. He would sacrifice himself for another being whom, one couldn't even tell was a killer or not. Who even knew if what was said was true? There was no way to prove it. "Mmh... kay..." Dante yawned softly as he got up after Oni, following him off.

Now, the question was, if Oni did all of this, did that mean that perhaps Xanic was a delusion or a second personality that had been created from a mentally unstable kid?Or perhaps Xanic was hoping to get enough control so that he became the dominant being of this body, leaving Oni behind and eventually hiding him completely in the dark?

Pre'acha'n yawned, still trying to finish his cereal. "Yeh, there're lots of kinds," he said, walking into the kitchen with the empty bowl. He pulled a random cereal down and re-filled it. "Yum, frosted sugar bombs."

Once they got into the kitchen Oni found some cereal for both of them. He got some bowls and spoons and put them out. Pouring cereal and milk into the bowls Oni said, "There we go. After we eat does Tir want to do anything? Maybe we could find a board game to play or something."

Ugh. Cereal. It was easy to prepare, but ninety percent of the brands were terrible for your body. Have you ever looked at this Flintstones and Count Chocula brands? He held his thoughts to himself, watched Oni as he grabbed the edge of the counter, acting anxious for the sake of keeping Oni fooled. "Mmh, no. I dunno. What does Oni want to do?"

Dante was absolutely perplexed. He jumped and stumbled back as the mess hit him square in the face. It was sticky, and soggy, and all around uncomfortable. He didn't know what to say or do. He'd never had food thrown at him like this before- well, besides someone using them as a last resort weapon. This... was a food fight, though? What was he supposed to do? Why were they-...? Was this considered fun?

His mind searched for possible answers as his naivety kicked in. He'd never gone to a public school- not even a private school. He was taught at home straight from books, or in other countries. Japan and Thailand certainly never brought up such things as 'Food Fights.' This whole time he couldn't help but stare up at Oni, absolutely lost, with his big blue eyes.

As Brenden fled and Tri just looked at him baffled Oni felt like a jerk. He had seen a food fight on TV once and it was suppose to be fun. Now it looked like he had just failed at his idea. Silently Oni got a wet rag and went over to Tir. He started cleaning the boy up and said softly, "I'm sorry Tir." He wanted to cry. He was tired. . .so tired and after hearing his brother might die he was sad. Why couldn't be Oni that died and not Xanic. Xanic was smart and useful. All Oni seemed to do was mess things up.

After Oni cleaned up Tir he just went outside. He wanted to be alone.

Dante didn't resist as Oni cleaned him. He was still sticky, though, and his clothes would need washing. He'd need a bath... he sighed and scratched the back of his head, watching Oni leave. Jeez... the kid was a walking magnet for attention, wasn't he? Dante bit his lip before looking up at the bowls of cereal. Oni had been the hungry one... he took his own bowl that had been left untouched and hurried out after Oni.

Rain had gotten there first. He looked up at the woman, growing a bit irritable just by seeing her. Great... things were finally peaceful, too.

( Bath time anyone? xD Phht. We had to blow it off last night! )

Oni just turned and hugged Rain. He buried his face and wept. Between sobs he said, "I'm scared." He had reached his limit and couldn't handle anything right now.

Dante sighed at the two of them. Sheesh... Oni was everywhere today. He pulled uncomfortably at the collar of his shirt before placing the bowl of cereal aside and taking a seat at the couch. Well, he wanted to bathe, but... well, where were the baths? Hell, why didn't he just shower in his room? Perhaps it was the seer fear of his sister sneaking in in attempt to bath him like some little brat. He could have sworn she'd do something along those lines.
