"Uhh, yeah. Do you know where the library is, then? I need to look up stuff that Teach either didn't tell me or I forgot," he said, fidgeting in place. More like wasn't paying attention for... "I need to know what to make the vessel out of and how to bind him to it without binding Oni as well..."

Talianda turned his head to look at her. "What is it?" he asked, scooting a little closer to her, not that there was much room to scoot.

Rin stood there laying out the oranges on the bar top. He picked one up and placed his index finger at it. "Shadow word: Puncture" It sent a needle thin stream through the orange and cased the juice to start leaking out of it into the glass. He did this with the second one as well and then satisfyed with what he did. He picked up the glass and took a drink of it. He knew his word magic was not normally meant for making orange juice, but oh well he was in a pinch and wanted it made quickly.

I’ll direct you….” Rain said softly, raising a hand and casting a small ball of light. The blue light would lead the raven to the library, though she could only do this because she’d been to the library herself….otherwise it would have failed. Apparently even magic can not lead to a place the caster hasn’t an idea where is.

Rain held tightly to Oni, not wanting to let him out of her sight. She couldn't lsoe him....just like...just like the family she barely remembered. She glanced towards the kitchen where Rin was making his orange juice but then once again turned to Oni.



Janu looked up at him, still holding his waist tight. “I remember… I remember someone broke my heart and made me think they loved me when they didn’t. Promise me…. Promise me you’ll never lie to me or break my heart…” She whispered softly, biting her soft black lips. She was starting to rememebr who she was despite the strength of the spell…something that angered whatever was, as it always was, watching from the shadows…

Rin traced some symbols in the air and held out a palm. "Grey word: Dive" He wondered if he could actually communicate with her using this spell. He had never tried it. He scratched his head he didn't communicate with people well. Which was ironic because all of his magic is around the power of words. "Hey um.....Rain you there?" He wasn't even sure the spell would work he was given it a long time ago for distance communication with people he worked with in case they go separated on a mission or something.

"Right!" Pre'acha'n said, recognizing a mage-light when he saw one. He folowed it, reaching the library and starting his search.

"I cannot promise something like that if it is an accident, but I promise to try my best not to. I would never break your heart on purpose," he said calmly before licking her cheek. "We cannot always keep promises like you asked, I may have to lie to you someday to keep you safe. I do promise that after the danger is over, I will tell you what I lied about."

Yeah….On the couch in the main room sweetheart, why don’t you just come in and talk to me…” Rain responded, shaking her head. She glanced upwards, raising an eyebrow as she continued to hold Oni like a teddy bear. She liked to see a mans face while she was talking to him.



Janu Shook her head, looking away at the lick. She held him tighter, more of her memory becoming vividly clear once more. “No…. Lying is what made my heart break in the first place. No lying, period…lying causes to much pain…” She said softly as she nuzzled into his shoulder. She then whispered a pleading, “Please?…..I want my next kiss to be because no other girl will do….not because someone‘s trying to protect me….”

"No other girl will do," Talianda said, realizing what she must be talking about. "I dislike lying anyway, so I can abide by that. Just... try to understand that I haven't really done this before. You would be the first who even tried to like me back."

Rin grimaced a bit on his face. "Now your just being silly wake up already." He thought to himself. He walked over and sat down in a nearby chair. "Sorry about that I was just trying to see if the spell still worked." He would go with that story for now at least because it was the only one that made any sense to him.

Rain shrugged at Rin’s words, not particularly caring if he was telling the truth or not. She leaned her head against the couch, glancing at him. She tilted her head to the side for a moment, saying now in a quiet voice “You wouldn’t happen to know anything about soul transfers would you?”

"Transference magic? Now why would you want to know about an art like that I mean I do use shadow and light spells with grey words, but not even I would are to use a soul transference spell. It is not the type of spell to be trifled with. I do know how to do them though if that is what your asking." He rasied his eyebrow slightly and pulled a cigarette our of his pocket and lit it. Taking a quick drag he looked at her why would she want soul magic, and for what purpose.

“Because if I don’t find out how to do it one of the souls in Oni’s body is going to have to die. “ She said matter of factly, simply holding Oni close. Rain made a face at the cigarette, saying simply “Would you put that thing out….” She didn’t explain why….but if he’d look close enough at some of the burn scars hidden under her clothing he might be able to take a guess why they made her uncomfortable.





She nodded and glanced down, shrugging softly. Janu curled into his shoulder, releasing him a moment and looking at his muzzle. Finally she said gently, “About the only thing I know about romance is more human lips are better for kissing…” She then stuck her tongue out at him in an attempt to be cheerful. She sat up, rubbing a tear from her eye and putting her back to him. She was beginning to remember so much….but it felt…different somehow…..as if the potion had stolen all her emotions from the memories of before…even of her family.

"I could shift," Talianda said, looking at the pile of pants. "But I wouldn't have any clothes on, I haven't figured it out yet..." He got up, padding over to the pile and picking up a pair. Gray with blue and black embroidery down the side of one leg. He shifted and put them on, using his wings as a screen again. "Better?" he asked, turning to face her again.

The emotions were coming back but jumped and confusing so she clung to the present instead, a way that Janu’s mind intended to protect itself. She didn’t look up till he said the word better, lost in her own little world. She blushed a bit but nodded, walking closer to him. She glanced down then though…looking at the ground rather then his chest. “I… you didn’t have to do that….I just… I’m tired of being sad….

He twirled the cigaretter around into his palm and crushed it. "Better?" He sighed rather hard. "So this is another one of those let's save people things? I don't know why every girl I meet wants to save the world. All it does is get you killed in the end, and as for the transference magic unless your conditioned for it it will kill you and you will die most likely before you could even finish what you were in there doing." He looked away for a moment all of them always trying to save everyone. He knew it for a fact you can't save the world you can only keep yourself alive long enough till you bite the big one.

"One of my old friends told me that if we... pretend long enough, it might just be who we are," he said, gently grabbing her shoulders. "I think she ment that if you fake being happy, or friendly, for long enough, then you become it, and you really are happy, or friendly, or anything else that you've pretended. Try to smile, please? You're much prettier when you do."

“I’d rather die living then walk around like the dead…Doesn‘t seem to be working out so well for you after all….but whatever, it’s your life…” Rain responded with a shrug, simply glancing back down to Oni. If he didn’t want to help her, oh well, she’d find another way. It was her nature, and honestly she didn’t care. She’d rather die happy then live miserable….




Pretty me? Nah… the other’s are pretty I’m just me…” Janu responded jokingly, though she blushed faintly. She thought about what he’d said earlier, however, and simply glanced down at the floor. Pretend? She wasn’t even sure she could, still she forced herself to look up and fake a smile, her mind still on the disturbing memories drifting into her head.

"That's better, but I think you need practice," he said, smiling in return. "I... um..." He blushed slightly himself. He didn't know what to do from here, and looked a tiny bit confused.

"Judge me how you will, but that is something we can set aside for another time. Look you know as well as I do I am the only thing that will save him." He sighed again. "As much as it goes against every bone in my body I'll do it. While I'm in there you have to watch over my body. You can't let any harm come to it got it?" He knew he was going to regret this, but he was the only option at this point.

And despite her steady exterior part of her worried about unexpected complications to Oni…"What will happen to Oni?" she asked quietly.
