Monty saw Vuri's cheeks go a little red. "Is everything alright?" She asked, afraid she offended her. She didn't think raw fish was something feline people were offended by, but you never knew.
((looks through rules, can you have more then one character?)) |
Vuri glanced up, almost startled. "Hm, Oh, yeah." She gave a signature smile. "I'm fine." She looked over at Monty's plate. "Have you tried the soup? It's yummy, and has eggs in it!" Vuri thought that she might need to take a long bath later to relax her mind. Much like the bigger, more exotic cats, vuri loved water.
"Oh, no, uh...I haven't" Said Monty, a little suspicious of the new subject change. "The food here is pretty wonderful. I haven't eaten like this in years." She sighed remembering her past life, all the troubles she never knew about. Staring at her reflection in a glass of water she starting speaking, to no one in particular either. "I grew up in a manor sort of like this. I was an only child too, so I got all that I wanted and never had to share. It got boring sometimes thought..." Then, realizing she was probably going to start her life story, she stopped talking.
Both of them were hiding something Janu observed, though she supposed she really couldn’t talk…wasn’t’ like she was talking about her history much either. Then again it was just too painful, perhaps the same was true of them.
She tilted her head to the side, saying softly “Did you” and eyeing the other curiously. She then looked to Vuri a moment and giggled, “You’re almost red as a flower” she teased, though inwardly still musing…and worrying… about the other two. |
Vuri blushed even more and tucked her knees up to her chest to hide her face when Janu made that comment. "Am not!" she lied. Her tail also managed to reach all the way up to her face to try and block as much as it could. She looked between her legs under the table and saw a small mouse. "No, no, no. I can't try to get it, i mustn't " she thought, clenching her fists.
Monty twirled parts of her long black hair that poured over her shoulder. She wasn't hungry anymore, so she didn't touch the soup. She only continued to drink her water and hum a song to herself. "The world would be a nicer place if life could be brand new..." her started singing softly. She didn't know the second verse, so she just hummed the first one again. When she finished. She got up from her seat and asked, "Um...uh...I where do I sleep?" She didn't remember anyone telling her.
((I'm assuming that they get rooms, if they don't, I'll edit this.)) |
Janu merely chuckled a moment, shaking her head a moment. She couldn’t help but be amused. For once someone was blushing and it wasn’t her!!! Grinning she only stopped looking at the other felines red face when she heard Monty speak.
Glancing up at her she tilted her head to the side. “Um… Arina didn’t give you a room yet?” the feline then scratched her head, unsure if she should give the other woman a key or not…she knew where they were. It wasn’t like the garden though…not like she had permission to interfere with rooms. ((they do xd )) |
((Lol, i got to go to sleep...so that's why i asked. See ya'll in the morning!))
(( I think i'm gonna call it a night too. :/ It seems like a decent place to stop for the night, eh?))
((Yup XD I'm getting tired too so you guys have good timing lol))
((Haha, Alrighty then, good night!))
"No I don't think she has..." Said Monty a little quietly. "I've never stayed at an inn before either so I'm not sure how to ask." She kept on her face a slight embarrassed smile. She wasn't the best with new situations, mostly she just took advantage of old ones whenever possible.
“Arina’s a sweetheart” The feline answered with a shrug, “Just go ‘May I have a room’ and she’ll give ya one.” Janu smiled, inwardly squirming a little as she felt a soft warmth. She dismissed it, however, as just friendship for Arina and looked up at Monty instead. She tilted her head to the side, curious at her remark of never having stayed at an inn before.
Monty made a playful pout for a second, then her expression turned into more of a laughing smile. "I guess I should, but not right now." What her answer, showing her teeth in a smile like a tattling child would. Then, she noticed the odd look Janu was giving her. "What?" She asked, confused.
“Nothin’” the shy neko answered with a shrug, glancing at her plate and popping a piece of sushi in her mouth. She didn’t express her curiosity quite yet, instead taking a sip of tea. “Just wondering how much you’ve traveled, this is kinda an out of the way place…” Janu finally explained.
Oh, so that's what it was. Nothing big. "To tell you the truth," Monty started, "I never traveled that much at all. I pretty much just stayed in the house all the time while my parents when on work trips." Then she started thinking about why she came here. "After I left home, I stayed in the city for a long time. But the stuffy air and crowded streets made life a bit unbearable, so I've been roaming around in this area for...a few days now." It was her first time, too. She rejoiced in seeing all the wild plant life around the area and the unblocked sun rays all day, even though she couldn't see them too well.
Janu tilted her head to the side, curious of why the girl left home but not sure she should ask. Delaying the thought she instead simply agreed “Yes…the forest around here is beautiful and so much better then the City…I’ve ever liked the city much though” she stated with a laugh.
"Neither do I," Said Monty. "The only reason I lived there was because it's easy to get a job or money." She crunched up her face like if she was smelling something foul, "It'll all too dirty though. I'm glad I left." She said, leaving her crunch face for something more relaxing.
((Question: where exactly are they? England? US? Japan? Denmark? Lol...Denmark...)) |
((not a clue, I think it’s a mythical land though XD and sorry about disappearing XD, I fell asleep))
Good, though I’m sure there’s people back there to miss you.” Janu mused softly, shrugging her shoulders a moment. She couldn’t’ help but still wonder…what more had caused this girl to leave? She had a feeling there was more to this woman then there seemed. Still, the girl would tell her in her own time…and despite her curiosity Janu was not one to push. |
"You mean in the city?" Asked Monty. "Nah. I didn't know many people that would miss be. Probably just my boss cause she won't be able to find cheap labor." She joked, after all she did have a good salary. Now that she thought back on it, she liked her boss. She gave her a job at first because she felt sorry for Monty and gave her a job so she could get settled in the city.
((It's ok. I was eating breakfast and watching TV anyway XD)) |
Yes, a good boss or a good worker is hard to find I suppose” She responded teasingly, the corner of her lip twitching towards a smile. She was beginning to find the other’s humor relaxing, it was quite a bit like her own. Everything was starting to seem almost…too perfect. Could it really last?
Monty rummaged around in her pocket that hid on the side of her dress. She pulled out a shiny gold coin. Imprinted on it was a face of some sort, but you couldn't see it for a bullet had been shot through it, making a nice large hole. Monty showed it to Janu, "This is one of the good things about living there, you find treasures like these all the time." She said, flipping it over in her palm. "Most people think it's worthless with the hole though, so they throw it away."
Janu shook off her depressed thoughts as the other reached into her pocket, feeling a little uncertain briefly. She was not a trusting soul… as she saw the coin, however, she laughed and reached out to playfully put a claw through the hole. “Quite the treasure you have.” she stated with a small smile, winking at the girl. It looked like a fun little coin.
"Actually when I found it, it was all icky." She said, sticking her tongue out in disgust. "I found next to a storm drain. When I went back to my apartment, I started cleaning it. Personally I think it was worth the effort." Smiling as Janu tried putting her "finger" in it. "I think the person on it had some importance, but he or she looks much better without a face." She said.
“Heh, I think it was too” She stated with a smile, a sadness creeping over her gaze as she glanced to her food and pulled back her finger with a blush. “To many things are just thrown away…” she nearly whispered, before forcing a smile across her lips. “some people do look better without a face though “ she agreed with a laugh
