"So that's how it will be then. Hide behind the kid like a big man? Ya I didn't pose you as much of a challenge in the first place, because like any form of a bully you just hide away when a bigger man shows up eh?" Rin smirked under his mask. "Guess this doesn't matter much huh. Rin pointed his right and left index and pointer fingers out at both ends. "Look I'm not here to save anyone if you want to keep hiding I can just kill you both and be done with it. Shadow word: Rupture." The twin bolts of shadow flew off in opposite directions destorying sections of the area around him. "You choice I kill you both or you face me."

Rain gripped Oni tightly, whispering to him though she wasn’t sure she could be heard. She focused her power slightly, hoping it would bring her voice to Oni. “Oni…trust me. You can beat him…. Please, don’t let Xanic kill you….” She whispered softly, holding his shoulders as she sat there. She didn’t even glance at the raven but she nodded in agreement. She wouldn’t lose him…not again….

Oni's body spasmed as Rin shot his magic off inside him. His heartbeat feel drastically and he was having trouble breathing.

Inside both Oni and Xanic screamed in pain. Their minds were being destroyed. Xanic was furious that Rin would actually try and kill them both. How dare he hurt them! Xanic burst forth and bowled right into Rin. He grew mental claws to shred and tear him asunder. He would not die! He would not let his brother die! He protected them! HE WOULD KILL RIN!!!

Rin saw him coming and grinned under the mask. "That's a good boy." They collided and as he rasied the claws Rin pointed his fingers toward him. "Holy word: Bind." Rin's wards were holding off what damage got through. "That's what I thought pick on someone your own size you psycho." This is what made Rin feel alive combat and even better he was in the enemies mind fighting them this sensation to him was like no other.

Rin's body outside convulsed slightly when they impacted

Pre'acha'n nearly freaked when Oni spasmed. "Keep him alive, you freaking word-mage!" he shouted, hands balling into fists. "He made me feel welcomed, and didn't freak when I told him I'm a were. He's the first friend I've had in a long time, and I won't forgive you if he dies." I hope he heard me... probably not, though...

Xanic paniced at being bound. He shoved his and part of Oni's force at the bonds breaking about half of them and getting an arm loose. He quickly swung at Rin getting any harm in he possibly could. He let out a animalistic scream of rage. "YOU WILL DIE!" he yelled out more than a little crazy.

Oni's body stopped spasming but would jerk every now and again. His breathing continued to get more shallow.

Rain closed her eyes as the bodies spasmed, placing her hand on Oni’s heart. She focused, falling into her own spell. She wrapped her energy around Oni’s part, curling her very soul around his to protect him from harm. She let a single tear fall, though it was against her desires…She whispered softly “Oni….focus… you have to be strong….”

Rin took the first hit from the fist and grabbed the fist the second time in his hand. "You only get one hit in free." He said grimly. Wrenching Xanic's free arm and headbutting him. Rin had the levarage and used it. He threw a punch of his own and followed it up with a spell. "Shadow word: Rupture. Shadow word: Infest." The symbol on the grim mask began to glow as these spell flew out they were only combos to the finisher coming. "Death word: Engulf. I told you your out of your league against me."

Pre'acha'n fidgeted more, knowing that his magics could work wrong with others, if not done right. "Please... Oni..." He stayed still for a mere moment, then continued fidgeting. "Fuck it," he said, placing his hand over Rain's. "I just won't use the runes." He focused, pooling his energy into his hand and having it drip into Oni, trying to strengthen his heart and lungs. "Live, dammit."

Xanic eyes rolled in panic as Rin grabbed him and spoke his spells. He let out one last scream before his mental image exploded and vanished.

Oni's eyes shot open and he let out a blood chilling scream and then went limp. His heart had stopped. Pre'acha'n's magic was a mere second too late.

((hurry revive him, revive him! *creator panics and realize what she's typed*))

Rain let out a cry as she felt Oni rip away from her. She tried to think of a spell, holding him here with sheer will and not letting go. She couldn't lose her family again......not again.

"NO!" Pre'acha'n screamed, hitting the floor to the side of Oni. He got up, not caring that he was only in a robe, and ran to the door. He trew it open, running outside...

And tripping on Ti.

"Fuck!" He shifted, cawing loudly and flying to a tree. Nononononononononono....

Rin jumped back into his own body. Blood gushing from out of his mouth through his mask. He jumped up still on that boosted high. "The hell you take this win from me you half-witted bastard." He was yelling at the renmants of Xanic. He ran toward the boy ripping off his mask showing his bloodied up face hands pointed at Oni. "Holy word: Revival. Holy word: Recovery. Holy word: Mending." Rin's body twitched every time a spell fired. He had used too much power and was using even more his mana was rupturing out of his body. Blood started to come out of his eyes. "The bloody hell I'll let you have the last laugh. Holy word: Regailia. It was his strongest recovery spell in his aresnal and if it didn't work he had nothing left. Rin fell over from exhaustion after casting the last holy spell.

Oni's heart gave a very small and faint flutter but went silent for a long time. It gave one more flutter but went silent again.

((Oni's body explodes from healing spells, lol. . . wow I didn't think anything could be over healed, lol ))

Ti woke as the door was thrown open, the large dog jumping up to bark at the Were as he flew away. "What the Fu-" He nearly yelled, catching himself before his head hit the ground. All of the latent energy flooding over him gave a shock to his system as he sat up. He turned to see Oni lying limp in Rain's arms and the Mage passed out with blood seeping from him. His eyes went back to Oni, his aura was fading, fast. He got to his feet, swaying a bit, but rushing forward to Rain, his eyes glowing gold with rage and worry. "What in the seven hells just happened!?" He demanded, looking from Oni to the Mage, then to Rain's face.

“We tried to Bind Xanic before he killed Oni……and that stupid mage has killed them both.” Was rain’s dark reply as she continued to clutch the boy. She knew between the mage and her power it was keeping him alive….but just barely. It wouldn’t be long that she could hold him alive…not like this.

Rin stirred and stood up weakly spitting out blood. He had blood coming from his nose, mouth, and eyes. "I won't let him die I promised you I would let myself die before I would let him Rain." He said with labored breaths. He spat out more blood and walked over to Oni's limp body. He pointed his fingers one last time. "Like I said I would not let this win get taken from me. Holy word: Angelic. Holy word: Revival. Holy word: Rapture." Rin collapsed again his fingers still point toward Oni.

As Rain spoke, Ti saw the threads that held their auras together. He put two fingers on Oni's wrist finding the vein. It still had a trickle of flow, good. He was about to speak when the mage stood and forced himself to move. Ti leapt back and gave a hiss-like growl as the Mage carelessly cast three more holy spells. He gave a venomous glare to the man as he fell again before crouching next to Oni again.

"Give him here" he said, reaching for the thin boy, "I need you to release yourself from him." He said as he looked to Rain's eyes, his gold ones somber.

“Promises get broken…” Was Rains only reply as she closed her eyes. She shivered, glancing up towards Ti. She bit her lip, desperately fearing the idea of releasing him… her trusting another had almost killed him this time…could Oni afford a next time? But really… she couldn’t revive him by herself… her energy was way too low…. Finally she nodded, letting her arms fall and slowly pulling back her energy and looking away to the ground.
