Oni decided he couldn't win and didn't try to dispute it with Dante. He would eat sugar. . .just in secret. He replied to Dante, "It's all good but the onions. . . onions are gross." He remembered the first time he had tried one and he never ever wanted eat one again.

Oni smiled again at Janu and said, "Okay we will make one for you too. What do you like on it?"

Well I’d prefer no onions or mustard but other then that however you want to make it works.” Janu replied, looking down at her toes. She rubbed her elbow a moment, wishing she could take a more human form briefly. She closed her eyes a moment as she sighed, her fur briefly disappearing save for her ears and tail and her nose briefly becoming more human. Unaware of the change she thought to herself that it was impossible…and she returned to her usual form clueless of what had occurred.

Oni smiled and said, "Okay Oni will make it for you!" He started on the sandwich and looked up to ask her a question when she changed and reverted. Oni dropped the mayo knife and stared at her saying, "Wow how did you do that?"

“ Oni.. thank you” Janu replied with a smile, enjoying the fact that he was doing something nice for her. She never expected anything from anyone, so when she did get something she was genuine grateful in way not all people ever are. She jumped slightly, however, as he dropped the mayo knife with her ear’s flickering down from the clanging sound.

As he asked her how’d she’d done something, however, she was surprised as she’d honestly had no idea. “how’d I do what?” She asked softly, tilting her head to the side quizzically as she tried to figure out what he’d meant. She knew the air felt funny for a minute but that was all…

((Lol nah, It’s nice for someone to notice and finally say something to her. This has happened a couple times and she’s been clueless because nobody will tell her anything))

Oni looked at her sort of quizzically and said," You didn't mean to do that? All your fur sort of went away but you were still white. Your nose changed too." He put his finger on the tip of his nose and continued, "Just like this. I didn't know Janu could change. I think that's cool! Do it again!"

Dante sighed at the two of them. He'd piled up a bunch of things between the bread before slicing it in half and putting it on a plate. He held it out in front of Oni, a death glare quite obvious on his face now. "And no. I'm outlawing candy for you for awhile. I want you to get over that addiction of yours. I'll ask Arina to hide it all next I see her." He knew what the kid was planning. Oni had accepted the change too easily. Of course he'd be planning to do it anyways. Dante was just like that when he was young.

"Go eat this. I can handle food preparations, Oni." He took the mayo knife that Oni had been holding, dumping it into the sink before grabbing the one he'd been using to start on the second sandwich. Yes, he HAD just kicked the boy out of HIS kitchen. Or at least for now it was. Jeez... he felt so feminine; it was nauseating.

“Change? But…….. I didn’t think I could….” Janu said in a shocked tone, her pale eyes opening wide. She almost couldn’t believe it and yet… Oni wouldn’t like would he? She ran a hand through her hair a moment, looking at her free hand. She blushed, focusing hard on her hand and being human….like she once was… and for half a second her fur disappeared fro a moment with her skin so pale it was almost white with only a touch of color on it. Gasping she jumped from it, her hand turning back to it’s furry normal appearance…. She then looked to Dante, half smiling as he spoke to Oni. She then touched Oni’s shoulder to start to maneuver him towards the living room.

Dante smirked at Oni's reaction. A tissy fit? He hated it when little kids had done this, but... a teenager? He covered his mouth his his hand, trying to hide his cynical expression. "Oni, if you want to live long and be healthy, then you have to eat properly. If you don't take care of your body, then Lukas will get upset. Not to mention you'll worry everyone else in the Inn." He finished the other sandwich, cutting it and plating it before handing it off to the furry. "Bon appetite." He said simply with the ever so irritating French accent. He hated the language. It just sounded.... strange to him. everyone said it was the language of love. It seems gargling is erotic these days...

He sliced up some of the fruits and put them into a bowl before wrapping and replacing them in the fridge. He took the bowl out, placing it on the counter and placing a large spoon beside it. Well, it was really fricken unsanitary to let everyone just gorge into it. Or, perhaps he was just nervous before of the furry. Who knew that their saliva could do to a person. "If you can't do it for them, then do it for him." Who else could Dante mean by that? Oni's brother was gone, meaning the regenerative powers that came with the brother were missing. Right? Well, Oni couldn't just waste the body his brother fought to protect.

“It’s just because he cares…Just means he wants to see you safe…” Janu replied as he spoke to her, squeezing his shoulder in a loving gesture. The feline then smiled softly and giggled gently, shaking her head a little. “My names Janu by the way, I don’t think I ever told you that.” With a shrug she glanced towards the kitchen, biting her lip a moment.

As she was handed a sandwich Janu looked upwards, giving him a slight thankful smile. She murmured a small “thank you” then looked down at the fruit, watching as he placed the spoon nearby. She flickered her ears, seeming to know it because of her. With a blush she looked downward and simply begin to nibble her food, ignoring the fruit.

Dante was taken aback a bit, but them sighed deeply. "I already have a picture of what your past has been like, Oni..." Not a big picture, but Hell, the kid kept slipping up. He lived in a facility, he was told what to do by some director... "There are other foods that supply sugars. There are a lot of different types. You can get quite a bit of them from foods like fruits."

He crossed his arms onto the counter, smiling softly at the boy. "How about this. Trust me for a week and see how you feel. I don't want you to search for symptoms, though. If you do that, your brain will make you think you're sick. Alright?"

Janu watched the two a moment, deciding to try to relieve a bit of the tension. She took the spoon carefully, dropping a few pieces on her plate. “He’s right Oni… these are sweet and good too see!” She suggested in a near whisper as she took a piece of the fruit from her plate and popped it into her lips with a smile. Truly she did like fruit…though she knew he probably wouldn’t think much of it compared to Candy…

"You weren't mean, Oni." Dante sighed. "A lot of people don't know plant biology. Everything you eat has some kind of energy that you can burn. Sugars just happen to be the ones you enjoy the most. Fruits carry a lot of that. Vegetables are the same way seeing as they conduct photosynthesis to create sugars as its own food source." He smiled to Oni and pointed to the bowl. "So keep eating the healthy stuff. It won't give you as big of a boost when you eat it, but it's just what your body needs. Candies only give you a short boost of energy before crashing." Maybe he was talking too much. Saying too many big words. Hell, it wasn't his fault, really. He'd read those damned science books. all this useless knowledge was trapped up in his noggin.

Oni just gave Dante a look of complete confusion and said, "I'm not that smart Dante. . .that made no sense." He felt stupid again. How could you listen to that many words and not know most of them. Oni stabbed a piece of fruit and ate it.

Janu returned Oni’s hug absently, managing a small smile. She flickered an ear, listening to him absently. She’d done a little reading so understood what he said but had to think a minute to remember… her community hadn’t been real big on science so she had done most of her learning from books. There was one good thing about her shy nature, however, it made her an avid reader… She then heard Oni and reached over, hugging him gently.

Dante smiled softly and bowed his head in defeat. Took much. "You said you trust me, right? Just know that fruits and veggies have the sugars you need. Other than that, meats and breads are also major. You should also have some dairy." He reached over and poked Oni's forehead lightly. "Bread give you a lot of energy called 'Carbohydrates'. You'll need them. toast, sandwiches, cereals or bagels should work for that, alright?" He sighed, standing back up again. Definitely spoke too much. "I have to head off into town soon, Oni. Please, try to stick away from the candies while I'm gone?"

Oni appreciated the hug Janu had given him. Hugs and stuff always made him feel less bad.

He said to Dante, "So eat lots of fruit and bread stuff." He never liked bread or pasta all that much. Bread was just dry and boring. Pasta wasn't as bad as long as it had lots of meat in it. He didn't want to argue with Dante though.

Oni knew he shouldn't bother but asked, "Could I have at least one piece? Oh wait can I come with you? I wanna go to town too. Please?"

Dante had to go to town on business. He couldn't bring Oni along. "Sorry. not this time. Maybe later." He sighed. "As for candy... if you don't have any at all while I'm gone, then I'll treat you to something. But nothing until then, alright?" He gave Oni a look before moving over to Oni's side. He wrapped an arm around the boy in a hug before heading off. "Seeyah!" Well, it was a very simply goodbye, but he didn't have time. He was ont the front door in no time, off to search for the nearest electronics shop. that was first, of course. He'd ruined his cell phone just the other night. after that it was straight to the best information gather points; bars.

Oni said,"Okay I'll be good. See ya later." Oni was bummed. He grabbed the rest of the fruit and ate it all. He looked over at Janu and said, "We should do something fun. What are you doing today?"

Janu reduced the urge to giggle, having a feeling that Oni was going to get into the Candy one way or the other. Still.. She just watched their good byes and smiled gently, unable to keep from enjoying it a moment. They looked like a family, however unwilling Dante may be. She then glanced to Oni as Dante excited, reaching over and ruffling his vivid violet locks a moment. “we’ll find something to do…” She said cheerfully.
