Talianda noticed Janu look at him, then promptly started washing his paw. He had tried to be neat, but he was just so hungry. The steak hadn't even been quite enough. He supposed he could always ask for more, but he didn't want to look greedy. He would wait, then ask again later. He finished with his paw and started washing his face.

Vuri let go of Janu and smiled. There was a faint blush on her cheeks. "Thank you" she said again, rather quiet. But this thank you wasn't only for the tea, but it was for everything that Janu had done for Vuri. Vuri had first grown attached to Janu because she too, had cat-like traits. It made vuri feel a little more welcomed, But Janu herself, aside from appearance had welcomed Vuri more than anyone else living at the inn. Vuri didn't know what she would do if she didn't have Janu.

Janu grinned as she saw him start to wash up, and giggled a little bit. It was actually kinda cute….usually she was the one who was embarrassed. She then heard Vuri speak, tilting her head to the side and looking over at her. “No problem” she stated with a smile, ruffling the other’s ears playfully. “I like helping.” She stated with a shrug. She then looked over at Tal, grinning mischievously “Want a little help I can grab you a wash cloth.”

Talianda finished up washing as Janu spoke. "No, I finished," he said, looking over to the side. She was too kind at times. "I'm not a complete invalid." He mentally hit his head against a stone wall. She was too kind, and deserved someone better than him. It wasn't as if they could really be mates. It was taboo...

For a moment she flushed, glancing towards the floor and shifting uncomfortable. “didn’t say you were” She finally said icily with a shrug. She then looked to the Vuri and shrugged, telling herself he was just a little grumpy due to being wounded. She knew she would be in his place. She then simply shrugged, again and lifted her tea to take a deep sip.

"No, Janu, I..." Talianda started, hearing her icy tone and turning to look at her again. "I apologize. I shouldn't have said that." Great, drive her even further away. You moron, spend time around her, then move on. It's not like this hasn't happened before...

It’s fine…” She stated with a shrug, glancing at the floor. “Just drink your tea. “ She suggested gently, still sipping her tea a moment. She didn’t say a word further, inwardly thinking of how sorry he seemed and shifting uncomfortably. She couldn’t help but react to words so harshly, however, as they’d always been used to harm her and often could be followed by such painful consequences.

Talianda looked down at the tea that had grown cold. he thought about what he was trying to say, and how to say it. this new language was so confusing, with all it's broken rules and words that sounded the same. "I was trying to make a joke. I never was very good at it, and I don't even know why I still try. I guess it's because I'm trying to impress you with my grasp of this language, but it's so backwards. I have words for things that aren't in english, and there are words in english that I don't have a translation for. I apologize again for sounding rude."

Vuri curled upon the floor by the fire. She loved warmth. Whether, it was water, a fire or someone elses body. Warmth always soothed her. Feeling a bit relaxed, she stretched out her back and lay on her belly, her head resting on her fists. She watched as the other two spoke. She felt sorry for Tal because he always seemed to say things the wrong way. He had even scared Vuri a few times with his tone and word choice, but she knew that he meant no harm.

Janu blinked, surprised. She raised one eyebrow, asking the question she so clearly had no answer for. “Why would you want to impress me?” She tilted her head to the side and shrugged, then leaned back to look at the fire. For a moment a half smile twitched across her lips as she saw Vuri get comfortable but then she spoke. “I’m just an ugly, poor, freak.” She stated it so matter of factly as she shrugged, but as she gazed at her long, bony fingers and ebony claws it was clear that it bothered her more then she’d ever admit….and that she was dead serious.

"Who told you such a thing?" Talianda growled, his mane starting to stand up and his tail swishing dangerously close to Vuri. "Tell me, so that I can show them something that is truly ugly!" His face started to contort into a snarl, and he half rose up. A gust of wind swirld around the room, rustling the curtains and anything else light enough for it to move.

Vuri opened her mouth to object Janu's statement, but, Tal beat her to it. She was suddenly scared, frozen. She didn't know what was going on, and she wanted to move, but she couldn't. She just watched in fear.

No one had to tell me… I see the truth of it every day. After I was transformed to this…this thing nobody has looked at me the same. The mirror tells me every day….as it always will…this is nothing but the body of a murderer…” she stated quietly, remembering the being that attacked her family. She didn’t know if she’d always had this inside her just as she’d had a tail at birth, but she did know that the only other one of her kind she’d met was truly…completely evil. She looked at her hands a moment and half hissed before catching sight of the terrified Vuri. “And calm down…You’re scaring vuri…” she added as she sat down her cup with a sharp sound against the table.

"You have a body most would kill to possess! Slim, athletic, beautiful, exotic. All are traits that most like!" Talianda growled, the wind increasing to a constant breeze. "And I will do anything to protect thet, make sure you don-" He cut himself off, hearing what he was saying. The wind suddenly stilled, and he had a shocked expression on his face. I would do anything to make sure nothing harms you...

Vuri heard what Tal was saying. She clamped her hands over her ears, partly because she was scared, and partly because, his words hurt. She couldn't quite figure out why, but a part of her wanted to cry. She shut her eyes tight and tucked her legs into her chest, almost as if the raging wind wasn't the only thing she was trying to escape from.

For a moment she simply blushed, inwardly wondering if he could be lying. No…his emotion was more genuine then she could say.. But why? How could he find this cursed transformation beautiful… she played with one ripped sleeve a moment, her tattered, ignored clothing an outward manifestation of her own feelings of worthlessness. For a moment she simply shook her head, murmuring softly “I…I don’t need protection ….but… thank you….though….”

She seemed awkward, not understanding why, when she saw Vuri’s pain. “Oh Vuri…” She nearly whimpered, still clueless just how strongly either felt. She assumed he defended her looks for some other reason, not that he actually was attracted to her. She assumed Vuri was just scared. She walked over to Vuri, hugging her around the shoulders and holding her close. “Don’t…don’t be upset. He’s not going to hurt anyone. He just got loud…” She whispered in the other felines ear.

"Janu..," Talianda started, then turned to see Vuri huddled in a ball. "Oh, no. I didn't mean to scare you..." he hung his head, turning to drag himself into a corner. "I'll just stay quiet from now on.." he limped into the corner the farthest away, and curled as best he could into it. Idiot. She's not going to agree with you. She clearly doesn't think herself any good...

Vuri didn't even look up as Janu came to comfort her. She just buried her head into the other felines chest, grabbing on to her shirt. "Wh-...why is he angry..."she said between harsh breaths. "I don't, I don't want him t-to be angry." But in reality, she didn't know what she wanted. She loved the attention from Janu, but she also wanted attention from Tal, even though he terrified her. She also wanted to know what was wrong with her, and why she felt this way.

Maybe XD. But you have to understand, she LITERALLY sees herself as a monster so she’d have to be out right told before she got it lol. She‘s also never really been in a romantic situation before either XD.))

She knows you didn’t mean to…It’s okay Tal…” She said softly, looking over her shoulder to look at him a moment. She bit her lip, clearly feeling a little bit of guilt. She hadn’t meant to get everyone upset. Damn…she really was as worthless as she felt.

As Vuri spoke she looked back to her, biting her own lip a moment. She leaned her chin on the other’s shoulder and sighed. “He’s not angry at you, don’t worry about it…see he’s even calming down. It’s alright kit cat.” She teased lightly, though her slightly downcast eyes revealed her inner guilt.

As always, Janu's words put a smile on Vuri's face. Though this time, her smile was only halfway true. She heard Tal's tone when he spoke. She suddenly felt torn. She didn't want anyone to feel sad. Vuri looked up at Janu and smiled, brushing a few strands of hair out of the other felines face. "Thank you Janu." she said calmly, almost whispering. "You always make me feel so much better." She gave her a quick hug, then crawled over to the corner where Talianda now lay. She wrapped her arms around his neck and nuzzled his soft fur with her face. "Please don't be ashamed. I was scared, but if you can't control yourself, I promise i'll be stronger next time. Everythings all better now."

Talianda blinked, almost drawing away from Vuri. He stopped himself, however, when she spoke. "It's all right. I'll try harder to control my temper. I'm usually much calmer than that," he said, the sad note still in his voice. He nuzzled her back, using his chin to draw her in for a sort of hug. "Somehow, this place feels more like home than the mountain ever did."

She blushed faintly out of instinct but gave a warm smile as Vuri spoke. For a moment she felt useful, and that…that was something Janu desired above all else. For the past couple years she’d just been existing and that is simply not a fun way to live. She watched as the other went to comfort Tal, leaning back on her haunches a moment as she watched the two. She half smiled, thinking absently that they looked cute together too… She curled up a moment, pulling her knees up against her chest a moment in thought. “I…I’m sorry I upset you…” She whispered quietly, glancing into the fire.
