Oni backed away from Dante not wanting to be a nuisance. He went and looked at the cookies wondering if it was okay to eat while they were hot. He figured he better not since Xanic could just regenerate his mouth. He smelled them and his mouth watered.

((not that way Dante XD, It is a special spell that cooks cookies normally…just faster…. <.<)) Rain listened as he spoke to the other and played with the cat, nodding to herself. He was fine…well kinda. She turned and walked towards the cookies again, leaning slightly on the counter and waiting. She was worried still but quickly let it pass, thinking instead of what she would do about the cause. She’d get that warlock….but for now she had cookies to finish baking! The kitten mewed slightly as it’s hands were taken. For a moment it tilted it’s head to the side, debating if it should be annoyed or simply enjoy the dance and fun…… dance and fun won hands down. The cat mewed happily, attempting it’s best to dance. It couldn’t help but enjoy it, having never had this happen before. This man…now he was fun. |
Dante blinked at the cat's reaction. It was dancing? Normally they'd pull away. No way... it was fricken magical? Well, hell, the weird coat of fur should have tipped him off, but he did know a few crazy cat ladies that dyed their cats's fur into tuxes and clowns.
He blinked, then released the cat and looked towards Oni. Hadn't he asked for something...? No, no... he only thought he had. He looked around for a moment, unwilling to get up from his spot. "Oni... could you get me some bread and water?" Bland, yes. But carbs were what he needed, and he was thirty to all Hell. He jus needed something simple and filling. |
The cat mewed, whimpering slightly. It pouted then, being a cat at it’s core…particularly since it was born one. It pawed at his hand, trying to get him to play like any kitten would. It was growing bored however… and kept looking at the oven…it smelled sweets. |
Oni brightened at Dante's request and said hurriedly, "Sure thing Dante. I can get that for you." He went to the pantry and got the tasty bread that wasn't so dry and a big glass of water. He had to go slower since he didn't want to spill. He went to Dante and set the things down next to him. "I hope you feel better Dante," he said trying to keep his voice low for his friend.

Rain leaned back, letting herself count down in her mind. She was focused mainly on her memory, letting it flow at the scent trigger. She’d adored that scent since she was a child… She shook her head a moment, clearing it of conversations spent with her mother, about just about everything. She didn’t know what had gone on with the others, just that the cookies are finished as her inner timer went off. Turning she slowly took out the cookies, freshly baked and perfect…..though of course they could never match her mothers cookies in her mind. She smiled to herself, taking in the sent and getting out peanut butter to top and whatever sprinkles and things she could find. “Oni, time for you to make them pretty if you like…” She murmured after they’d cooled well enough. Dante looked to the cat confused for a moment before reaching up the scratch it behind the ears. He didn't want to move around too much, but this would probably be enough, right? As long as it didn't turn into a furry on him. He sighed and looked up to Oni was he returned. He smiled weakly to the boy before taking his glass. "Thank you, Oni." He took a few sips, wetting his dry throat. |

Ti woke with his lungs burning and a scream caught in his throat, sweat beaded down his body as he bolted upright with his knife in hand. Dlacha yelped a bit and jumped up, darting around in a circle before calming and looking to him as to say "What the hell was that for!?" She snuffed at him and stretched as he panted, trying to catch his breath. He looked about to see Arina's room and Arina herself at his side, still sleeping peacefully. He sighed as he ran a hand through his hair and his heart rate slowed. He leaned over and gently kissed Arina, then stood, shivering a but before going into the bathroom and taking a quick shower. His hair was still dripping as he went to his room and got fresh clothes on, fishnets and a tighter pair of pants topped with a sleeveless shirt and plain black arm warmers. He sheathed his blades then made his way down the spiraled stairs, a low whistle calling Dalcha to follow. |
Hito stood straight and still atop one of the large pine trees near the inn. He always fed well so the sun did little but annoy him. He looked at the inn with a tilted smile on his face. He lightly sent a comment to his boy, "Morning my student. Nice little family there. How does she taste. . .wonderful I assume. No doubt you still are not very good with your control whether feeding or bedding." He made sure to send a light laugh along as well. It had been a while since he had teased Ti and he was enjoying himself.
He jumped lightly to the forest floor and walked forward slowly with steady steps. Perhaps he would be civilized today and use the front door. He was looking forward to tormenting his apprentice. |
Rain was still waiting for Oni’s answer when she noticed a flurry of green fur followed by a missing cookie. She made a soft sound of surprise but then simply began to laugh with amusement. That little thief….she liked this cat she decided. Amoni sat leaning against the wall a moment, her eyes closed. She only looked up as she heard Rain and saw her cat now retreating to Dante’s lap with a cookie. She had tried to train it to behave better and was slightly irked but her attention did not stay on it long. She flickered an ear towards the door, glancing towards it. “We…are about to have company.” She observed. The cat purred louder, nuzzling into the scratching of its ears. For a moment the cat lolled on its side, nuzzling into his hand and relaxing. It had been very nice to get a little attention…but then it realized the cookies had cooled…Instantly it darted forward and took a cookie in its mouth, ignoring a first gasping then laughing Rain and a disapproving hmmm from Amoni as it headed straight to Dante’s lap and curled up to munch it’s cookie with that innocent look cats can give. |
Oni got to work and started decorating the cookings. He really like the sprinkles and put a ton of them on the cookies. He turned to Rain and asked, "How is this? Did I do a good job?" He liked all the colors of the sprinkles and hoped Rain would like it.

Dante blinked has the cat shot off, watching it return and hop right back onto his lap with a cookie. Huh... intelligent cat. Magical... right. He sighed and nibbled in his bread absentmindedly, trying to keep his head empty. He didn't want to think, thinking would only give him stress. He was already pretty much on the edge.

Rain smiled warmly, ruffling his hair with a glance at the cookies. “Perfect.” She responded, and meaning it. It didn’t matter to her really, the fun was the point not the design. She pulled out a plate then and put on a couple for each person in the room. She handed one to Oni, one to Amoni, and placed one before Dante. “If you don’t want them you can feed them to the cat…it likes them apparently.” She said with a soft laugh, turning to dump the rest of the cookies in the first convenient jar she found. |
Ti froze as he got to the bottom step. His eyes flickered gold as the gruff voice rang through his head. He let out a growl, his Sensei was coming here!? "Nani! Watashi ha kare wo shinji nasai!" He uttered under his breath as Dalcha whined at looked up to him before trotting to the kitchen, the smell of food calling to her. He watched her as he snapped back to his mentor. "At least I get willing blood and body... What the hell do you think you're doing?" He moved to the bar and grabbed the half-empty bottle of rum. 'I'm going to need a hell of a lot more liquor soon...' He thought as he opened it and too a long swig.

Oni sat down on the sofa near the fire enjoying the warmth. He stuffed a whole cookie in his mouth and chewed on it. Once he was able to get it down he said, "Rain these are really good! I like the sprinkles too they taste kind of like candy."

Dante's eyes drifted to Ti. His face suddenly went bright red before lowering it and cupping it in his hands. Oh... damn... he was hoping that man wouldn't show up. He was in a peaceful state for the moment! Damned Gabriel, letting something like that almost happen! He... He wanted to curl up in a dark corner away from everyone.
He breathed deep to try and calm himsellf and clear his head agai, though it hardly helped. He returned to his drink, purposefully averting his gaze from the vampire. |
Hito simply said in reply to Ti's remarks, "Knock knock." Not seconds later Hito, not actually bothering to knock, opened the inn door and walked in gracefully. He surveyed the room quickly and brought his eyes back to the one with the purple hair. This one had Ti's blood scent. Oh yes he was glad he had come for he knew it would be an interesting visit. He finally settled his eyes on Ti and grinned a rather wicked grin.
In a flash he was in front of Ti moving too fast to be seen. He grabbed his student in a rough huge hug and squeezed a little tighter than comfortable. He let out a laugh knowing Ti would not appreciate this sign of 'affection'. The hug wasn't meant so much in a loving way but more of an embarrassment to Ti. After a moment he set the man down and slapped him on the back rather violently and whispered, "I didn't realize you had a son." He let his gaze drift to the purple haired boy. He got a bit of a gleam in his eye as he turned his eyes back to Ti. He had also noted how uncomfortable the human man seemed to be with Ti now in the room. He then said to him a bit wickedly, "How many have you bleed and how many have you laid with? Inn was a perfect choice for wanting to have soooo many options. I must admit I'm almost jealous." He made sure to keep the mocking tone in his voice. |
Dante blinked as a figure appeared. He watched the vampire be hugged by some old man before shaking his head. Whatever. He pulled the cat up off his lap and placed it by the plate of cookies Rain had given him before brushing the crumbs and hair from his lap and taking his water upstairs with him. Damn he felt dizzy. He was nauseous now too. Coming downstairs wasn't a good idea at all.

“Heh, thanks” Was Rain’s only reply to Oni, debating getting him some milk. She’d started to step to do so when she heard the other woman talk of visitors. She raised an eyebrow, shrugging it off then starting towards the fridge, only too see the door open. She turned, inwardly noting that apparently the cat girl’s ears could be trusted, to see who it was. She simply sat a hand on her hip, looking at the others with a raised eyebrow. Now this was interesting…. Another vampire….how many did that make now? As the vampire entered Amoni made a small hand gesture to call over her cat, watching as it bounded up into her arms with the cookie still in its mouth. Switching the feline to her shoulder the cat like woman placed her arms behind her back and interlaced her fingers. Now she would return to watching, having said the only words she intended to for now. She did not consider his remarks polite but they were not to her so none of her business…instead she parted the wraps around her lips for just a moment with a soft humm and tried a bite of cookie before placing her hand back behind her back. Her lips were a curious but slightly dark orange at the moment… |
Ti's eyes barely had looked to Dante before they snapped to the door, wide as Hito walked in. "Fu-" His curse was cut off as he was roughly hugged, a growl escaping his throat as he felt a few ribs bend with the pressure. He coughed as the old vampire let go and gave him a glare that would curdle milk. He fought the urge to hit him as he eyed Oni, but bit his tongue as the man continued to berate him. His eyes flared gold as the man rattled about bedding and blood. "You lech. You haven't changed at all. What the hell do you think you're doing here!?" He demanded, a bit less respectfully as he should have.

Oni was about to get up to get something to drink when the door opened. It was a scary looking man and Oni curled up on the sofa glad Ti, Rain and Dante were with him. He was surprised not only at how fast the man moved but that he was hugging Ti. Well he figured if it was a friend of Ti then maybe the man wasn't so bad after all. He wasn't so certain though when he felt the man's eyes on him as a small shiver went down.
Hito could only smile at the glare he received from Ti, even though it was completely and entirely expected. "Of course I haven't changed. Who else could whip you into shape other than me and I am not likely to go soft any time soon," he said with a laugh in his voice. "I sure hope you haven't been slacking off on practicing your fighting and sword skills," he continued on knowing Ti knew they would be testing them at some point in the near future. Speaking now with his mind he said rather seriously, "You should be able to guess why I am here. I wasn't entirely joking when I spoke about your control. I've felt it unbalanced for a little while now." |
