Hito was taking the long way back to the Inn and enjoying the sounds of the forest. He had feed well and wanted to get back to see if things had stayed calm after the warlock situation. He stopped suddenly when he heard a voice singing. It sound was beautiful and he could feel every emotion as the music flowed toward him. He silently and quickly followed it. He realized it was Amoni, not missing her scent anywhere. He did not want to startle the girl so he stopped in the shadows and watched her sing. He was good at hiding his presence and would keep it that way for a moment longer. He knew how shy she was and he wished to listen.

The more she sung the stronger her voice grew, making it hard for a listener to separate their emotion from hers. This was why Amoni feared a listener so, because they’d feel her heart for a moment as clearly as if it was their own…maybe clearer. Still, the siren could not stop from singing, it was as necessary as breathing to her and just as irresistible. Her eyes stayed closed as she sang, the words unclear but really unneeded anyway.

She may have continued for much longer, her own crush ironically able to feel her attraction as Hito stood so close. Yet something pulled at her slowly, leaving her song only about five to ten minutes longer before an instinct she couldn’t name warned her. In an instant her eyes flew open, her silver eyes slightly warm and looking almost soft a moment as she searched her surroundings in sudden silence. She did not see Hito, but she felt uncertain so paused…

Hito stood motionless as the words wove into his own dead heart and his eyes widened a bit at how the woman felt about him. It had been more than light or fun flirting for her. He had not had someone feel for him in sometime. He had lost his own love hundreds of years before and though he flirted had not had anyone since her.

When the music stopped he let out a small gasp like someone had suddenly cut his feelings off with a knife. He knew he was caught now and so he took a small step out of the shadows so Amoni could see him. He bowed and said, "My lady Amoni your voice is as beautiful as your lovely face though somewhat most intoxicating."

His gasp caused Amoni’s ear to flicker towards him, followed soon by her eyes. As he spoke it was her turn to have her eyes widen, hoping he had not heard too long… She did not want him to know of her attraction…didn’t want anyone to know. Still as he spoke she felt like he had heard too much with a dead certainty that tempted a faint blush to cross her lips as she glanced to the side and closed her eyes. She focused on steadying herself as she chose her words carefully.

“I did not see you standing there….and though I thank you for the compliment I cant help but wonder how long you have been there. Was your trip to town successful?” She spoke slowly at first, that last given as a way out for them both… her instinct was clear… to pretend he didn’t hear.

He could not smile at her words as he realized she simply wanted to write it off. Part of him was angry that she could feel that way and then act as if she was completely non feeling. The other part of him though understood why she would wish to hide her emotions. This feeling of being split frustrated him but he would play the gentleman if that is what she wished.

His eyes were hard now and he simply said, "Yes thank you, my trip was very successful. I am sorry if I disturbed you." He let the gentleman slip and stepped toward her and brushed back a strand of her hair. He might get hit but he did not care. He looked at her and said, "We can just pretend none of this happened since that is your wish." He stepped away from her turned to go and then looked back saying, "I will pretend I heard and felt nothing since feeling nothing is what you want me to do."

The hardness in his eyes made Amoni drop her own to the ground, feeling a slight sting from it. She much preferred the look of laughter in his eyes…something she enjoyed more then she should. She did not react, however, until he touched her hair. She closed her eyes a moment, leaning almost imperceptibly towards it as she felt a tormented moment where history, teaching, and her heart warred.

As he spoke the last, however, she turned darkly humored eyes onto his face. She knew yesterday had just been fun and flirting for him, and it showed as she spoke. “Feeling nothing? Dear sir…is that really so different from what you feel? I may not have much experience, but I am not a fool....I see no reason to try to make more of your flattery then you meant...” She said with a wry, self depreciating humor. She then glanced to the side and shrugged softly, her expectation of him feeling nothing in return clear as she started towards the house herself for a glass of water…

He followed after her easily and stood in her way saying, "You keep blaming everyone else for not feeling when you are the very one that pushes them away. You know what I felt and after feeling that how could I not feel something. I've meet many people like you and you are all so quick to throw your loneliness on others. You claim it's their fault not yours but you are the very one who rejects them." He placed his hands on her shoulders and said with venom, "Do not ever claim you know my heart when you lack the ability to feel it." He let go and now it was his turn to storm away.

As he stood before her she let out a faint gasp of surprise, her eyes lifting to search his. As he spoke she was unable to keep a flash of pain from entering her eyes. She stood limp as he continued, even as he gripped her shoulders. She stayed silent, only speaking as he began to walk away. Her pained, quiet voice was low as if she was speaking more to herself then him. “I am well aware that it is my own responsibility….but perhaps your right, maybe I can’t feel as I should…perhaps I am wrong....I apologize…” She sighed, pushing away the inner longings she felt. She let her shoulders drop a little, walking slowly for the kitchen, her eyes downcast and her head bent forward.

The experience for Hito had been amazing and something that had made its way into his heart. When he heard her sing it had been a close experience with another heart and soul. It had hurt him when she had dismissed it so easily.

Now there he was acting like a bully and he mentally kicked himself. He gently grabbed her arm and said with a small plea in his voice, "Please wait Amoni. I- I need to explain myself better and I ask your forgiveness for acting like a brute."

Amoni let her hand go to lay gently on his as he grabbed her arm, looking up with uncertain eyes. She listened to him speak, glancing downward a moment. She remained impassive outwardly as was her habit but the pain lingered in her eyes. “It…there is nothing to forgive…but I will listen…” Was her dull reply, inwardly hearing her papa curse passion as he often had as the downfall of all things…still…she would listen. His touch could have been even lighter then a breeze and it still would have rooted her to the spot...

Hito could see the effect he was having and let her arm go. He calmed himself inside and focused on the part that had felt her uncertainty and fears. He bowed like a gentleman and said, "I am sorry for being so rude. The experience was very touching for me and I was hurt when you dismissed it so lightly. Though I know you are a very closed woman and it was wrong of me to say the things I did. I promise after this I will not speak of the incident again but I will remember it. Being able to feel that was a gift and I want to treasure it. The only thing I ask in return is that you do not ever dismiss my feelings or claim to know what I feel. Every person is entitled to their heart. I believe I have said enough on this and I hope you will still be willing to spend time with me."

Arina yawned softly in her bed as she woke. She smiled looking at Ti's sleeping form and moved out of the bed making her way into her closet. She picked out a simple outfit today, blue jeans and a pale blue sweater. She put the matching barret on her head letting her long hair flow free and grabbed a pair of brown leather boots and put them on, the tiny heel on them making her only about 2 inches taller, the boots buckled and went only halfway up to her knees. She then put on only eyeliner letting her natural blue of her lips show clearly today. She then headed down the steps to grab a cup of tea.

Amoni swallowed against the strange disappointment she felt as his touch was ended but simply tried to cover it as she dropped her arm back to her side. She felt a moment unable to speak, both from the implications of what he might feel and simply from her emotion. She felt a desire to explain but hesitated, running a hand through her hair as she attempted a frail grasp at humor. “…You should know now Dear Sir, I would never refuse time with you….”

She trailed off, glancing down before placing shaking fingers on his arm only to drop it to her side. It was clear now that she really didn’t know how to deal with her own emotion and really wasn’t so sure of what she wanted as it had seemed. She fidgeted a moment, actually fidgeted, but then looked up at him. “I…I am glad you want to spend time with me…I just…I thought I may have embarrassed you…” She nearly whispered, unsure.

As she made her joke Hito knew that often people tried to mask other feelings with jokes or laughter. He was surprised though when she placed her fingers on his arm even if only for a moment. He gave her one of his light smiles and said, "No Amoni, you did not embarrass me. I think I did a fine job of that myself by acting like an ass." He gently took her hand in his testing to see if she would leave it be or pull away. He asked her, "Should we head inside now.? Perhaps get you something to eat?" He figured she did not want to dwell on all of this right now. Giving her time to eat and sort things out for herself might be best.

Amoni seemed glad her feelings had not embarrassed him but merely shrugged off his comment of him doing so himself. She had assumed falsely, so blamed herself just as much as him. Such was her nature, however, to feel responsible for everything…

She only looked up as he took her hand, a slight caution touching her silver eyes. She did not pull away, however, merely awkwardly letting her fingers return the gesture by curling around his hand ever so slightly. “Yes… that…sounds like a good idea.” She said in an uncertain tone, resisting the urge to blush but failing ultimately. This…was not an expected turn of events.

Hito kept the smile on his face as pleasure danced across his eyes when she curled her feminine fingers around his hand. As they walked he kept speaking, "I make a rather good Italian dish if you would like me to make it for you. I do not eat human food myself but many have told me it is an excellent dish." He always hoped that he would get to see her face again as she ate.

When they got to the kitchen door he opened it, went through first but still kept a hold on her hand.

Lonan stirred in his sleep, hearing the kitchen door. Wha? He lifted his head, looking around blearily before remembering where he was. Oh, the stone den... what's this one called? He got up, padding around near the fire before looking over to the kitchen doorway to see two people.

The surprised woman merely nodded, having not had anyone cook for her in some time. She was unsure if she’d had Italian food before, simply making simple wares herself that her father taught her and rarely eating anything else. She really was a simple creature when it came to food, even with her adding so much salt, but she decided to be a little daring. “That sounds good…” She half whispered, noting as he kept a hold of her hand. She smiled faintly, enjoying the touch of another dearly as she simply held his hand in silence. Though still uncertain she saw no harm in simply letting herself indulge in this for a little while….she blamed the siren song and not her heart for his interest so figured it would wear off in time…but perhaps just a little sentimentality was forgivable for her to feel…just a little.



Chandra looked up as the two entered, glancing over as she saw the wolf. She’d always loved animals, despite them being her main source of blood now a days. She couldn’t help but smile, admiring the beautiful creature then glancing at the two who entered. She felt herself torn between the possibility of seeing her joke play out and going to touch the wolf’s fur….
Unable to keep her focus, however, she stood and pounced over to hug the wolf tight. “Puppy!” She said with a light hearted giggle, enjoying her own childish behavior. She could see the sink well enough from here she decided…

Hito had to release her hand since he was going to be cooking. He said as he went to grab a few pots and pans, "Would you mind helping me Amoni? I'm not sure where the noodles are but they may be in the pantry." He grabbed one of the pots to fill it with water and watched as black petals came out and then the water. He emptied his pot and wondered who would stuff petals up the faucet. Filling the pot part way he set it on the stove to get it heated up.

(( lol he was the wrong person for that. . Hito can be so boring some times XP ))

Lonan jumped and yelped when the woman hugged him. She smells similar to the dark one... as does the man... He looked at her as best he could, projecting his voice for any to hear. ~Can any of you hear me? Someone to talk to would be nice... and to not be choked.~

Emeriya

Emeriya wandered back the the Inn, her clothes almost in complete tatters as she walked up the pathway. Her muscles ached slightly, but her hunger was more then saited, it took many animals, but it worked...She opened the Inn door quietly and walked into the kitchen, seeing two very unfamiliar faces. They seemed to only be cooking and she thought nothing of it. She put some coffee up to boil and stared as it brewed. She hadnt slept in days and the fatigue was getting to her.

Hito heard the voice of the wolf and replied, "I hear you. Are you hungry?" He figured he might as well feed anyone who was hungry. He noticed the girl walk in who looked like she was about to pass out. He said softly to her, "Hello miss I am Hito. I am making some food if you would like some. You could go sit and rest for bit while I cook it."

~Food? You have some to spare?~ he asked, head swinging around to look at the man. He looked at the other woman who had walked in. ~Can you hear me, too?~ His tail started wagging, and he gave an approximation of a grin.
