Gabriel Gabriel's eyes went completely black. Her grabbed the child by the throat, pinning him up against a tree. "You little fuck! You have no idea what i had fucking bee through!" He was crying, his memories replaying in his mind, but he was too overcome with anger. "SO SHUT YOUR FUCKING WHINING ABOUT YOUR HORRIBLE LIFE!" |
Dante was helpless. He closed his eyes and struggled to get any air to his lungs. Shit; this wasn't how he wanted to go. Choked and overpowered as a child. Who in their right mind killed children? Well, fuck. That's why this place sucked. That's why he hated before here with these bastards. Menewsha... what a Hell hole.
Finally his eyes fluttered as he looked dazed at the other. Everything spun and his head felt light from oxygen deprivation. All he could manage was a weak smile at the other. Hell, he still wasn't angry at the other. He didn't even understand one fucking things that was going on anymore; he'd gotten over that by now. All he could do at this point was relax and wait for death or to be... saved. |
Gabriel Gabriel threw the child and stormed off, not sure if he would return. Let the child wallow in self pity. People suffered more then a pathetic curse which shrunk. People died everyday, mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, sons and daughters. Selfish, he always fell for the selfish. Fuck it. |
Dante couldn't even comprehend what had happened next. He felt something hard, but couldn't figure out if it was him that had hit the object, or the object that had hit him. He lay lip in the grass, abusing the sudden release of pressure on his neck to gasp and swallow whatever air he could. All around him was darkness; it unnerved him as his paranoia jumped full gear. His eyes raced, looking everywhere for those eyes. His nerves tingled and screamed as fear teased him. He reached up and felt his neck before carefully moving his legs under him. Where was-... Where had Gabriel gone...? Before he had even known at a half hour had passed.
|
Rain heard the scream and sighed, putting away most of her fixings. It seemed her plans would have to wait. She started outward, following the sound with her hands raised slightly in defense. She would find no magic necessary and simply see Chibi Dante. “Hey…” She greeted dully, scanning the nearby forest. Where was Gabriel? Something had happened…something bad…. |
Dante's eyes went wide as he heard a voice. He practically spun to face Rain, his hand quickly reaching for the gun he'd usually have hidden. It wasn't there... it wasn't...! He moved back instead, examining the woman, though hardly taking in who she was. His mind subconsciously calculated her as safe as his eyes went back to searching the area. He needed to get out; he was an open target; he could practically feel their breath down his neck. Sweat beaded as everything spun again. His heart was beating too fast; too much oxygen was getting to the brain now. He was lightheaded all over again.
|
Rain stepped back at the spin in surprise, glancing into the forest as she worried over those not here… She sighed, looking to Dante and walking closer. “Um… I think we should get you inside Dante, you don’t look good.” She cautiously walked closer, holding out a hand. She wasn’t sure hwat to think and was a little worried. Had something been done to his mind? Lord…she was not the one to save the day. |
"Don-!" Dante saw the outstretched hand and scrambled back quickly, holding his bruising neck protectively. His eyes were wild as his breath quivered. adrenaline pumped through his body, shooting energy through him in shocks.
There was a rustle behind him, nothing but a squirrel moving from tree to tree, but the Dante it sounded as if someone had practically leaped through a bush. He felt another shock of adrenaline as he looking for the source in a craze. He couldn't help it anymore; his arms shook uncontrollably as light shivers covered the rest of his tiny body. He felt alone; insecure; just like a child. |
“I’m not going to hurt you Dante, don’t be stupid…. I just want to take you inside…. Will you follow me in?” Rain asked with a sigh, her hands in her pockets now. She walked a little closer and crouching a bit to look at him while making herself appear smaller. “I’m Rain, remember? You know, you’re friend….not that you want me to be…” She sighed, shaking her head as she waited to be able to approach him or at least lead him inside. |
Dante could hardly comprehend her words. His mind was on his surroundings. Nothing... nothing? No; they were there. He knew they were there. A sniper maybe? Something clean and easy? He winced and shook his head. No; no... they wouldn't use a sniper; too dark. They were taking so long. They were enjoying this; his panic. They wanted him to panic. He couldn't help but panic. He whimpered a breath before closing his eyes tight and clasping his hands together, trying to wish everything off.
"Make them go away.... make them go away..." |
Who go away?” Rain asked in confusion, reaching to put a hand on his knee gently. Finally deciding as crazy as he was being it probably didn’t matter who they were and she simply said, “Okay okay….I’ll make them go away.” The witch sat there perplexed, annoyed with the drama but figured she’d deal with this….the only problem she could actually fix...well maybe fix. |
Dante felt the warm gesture. Relief flooded over him for a second before disappearing. NO! No! He needed that relief! He needed it! He quickly spun around and blinding shoved his blind body against Rain. He latched his arms onto her in a death grip and he breathed deep and unsteadily. "Stop them from killing me..."
|
A brief flash of memory went through Rains head, a picture of a scared Harry behaving similar. She glanced away, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as he clutched her before thinking of the fact this was Dante. Not really the dante she knew but Dante all the same. “Hush, no one’s going to kill you….now I‘m going to pick you up and carry you inside” She murmured, cautiously and slowly picking him up. She would carry him into the warm indoors if he let her, flicking her hand once to open the door before sitting on the couch again if he let her…This…was very strange…. |
Dante didn't budge. He wasn't about to escape this safety. His face stayed buried in her shoulder. The warmth hardly effected him, he already felt overheated. If anything it made him even more uncomfortable. He just wanted this small comfort, a comfort he had had very, very little of.
her cringed against Rain, whimpering as his body shook hard. Felt felt insignificant and useless; he couldn't escape. How could he? They'd catch him, he knew they would! |
Rain closed the door with a flick of her wrist once more, sitting in a chair where she could see the door. She rocked him slightly, surprised that he was so clingy. Children didn’t make her uncomfortable though so she didn’t have that instinctual hiss of discomfort. She stayed confused but relaxed, rocking him gently as she held him in a tight protective hold. “Dante….it’s okay, calm down. I’m not going anywhere and nobody’s going to hurt you….I’ll have the dragon eat them if they try…” She said in a half teasing if still confused voice. There was a touch of awe too, she’d never seen dante like this….it frightened her a little really not that she’d let it show. |
Dante couldn't understand her. Her worlds were all jumbled and thrown aside. The only thing that caught his attention was the vibrating item in his pocket. He jumped, then quickly snatched and, flicked it open and shoved it against his ear. He spoke rapidly, not ever sticking to one language. He switched from German the Japanese and English and some even he himself couldn't recognize right off the bat.
The voice on the other side shushed him and instructed him for a moment as he swallowed. He was... had to...? To her? He gripped Rain tighter for a moment before shakily shoving the open phone into her hand. "B-Bo-..." |
“Bo?” Rain questioned, even more perplexed then before. The witch sighed, taking the phone as he handed it to her and giving it an uncertain look. She clutched him with one arm, shifting so she could continue to hold dante in the almost motherly way while putting the phone up to her ear with her free arm. She frowned, perplexed and finally said a simple, “Hi….Do I get to know who I’m talking to?” In English. Her tone was uncertain, her confusion still ringing in it. |
"Who I am is of no matter." The man responded simply. The Italian accent was easy to depict. He could speak English, but he still had troubles copying the accent. "He's 'lost it', right? I need to ask a favor of you. That boy suffers an advanced case of paranoia. It's gotten to the point where he's gone into a panic attack. The fastest and safest way to ease the stress on his mind is through medicinal herbs. Can you get any?"
Dante looked to the shifting arm cautiously before slipping his head back into a tight little nitch just under the woman's armpit. His head was swimming as his eyes focused far too hard on the darkness that followed. He whimpered and pulled away, grabbing his aching forehead as he tried desperately to relax his eyes and body. "Sch-... Schmerzen" |
More secrecy… of course… Rain resisted the urge to make an annoyed snort. No… she would have to react calmly for once…As he spoke though she couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow, not even feeling Dante squirm away as she realized what he meant. “Are you telling me …I need to get him pot?” She couldn’t help but be a little amused as she spoke, hearing Dante speak. “It’s okay…shhh Dante” She said in a quiet soothing tone, putting a hand on his shoulder comfortingly. She then turned back to the conversation, “I’m not sure…. But… I will have to find a way I guess…” She raised an eyebrow even though the Italian on the other end couldn’t see her…. |
"Right..." The Italian seemed to have expected such an answer. He ended the call there, leaving the woman on a dead line.
Dante blinked furiously before looking up at Rain. He could see her, but he kept zoning out. He saw through her. She she even important? He didn't care. He wanted to curl up. He wanted to be warm. He wanted to be safe. He wanted sleep. He wanted nourishment. He wanted to be happy. He unconsciously reached up, his arm shaking quite obviously. He missed at first, covering his mouth before backing stroking down to his sore bruised neck. The whole font in one uneven, thick line was dark from where the vampire's hand had once been. He winced and struggled a bit before lowering his head and wrapping his other hand around himself, trying to comfort himself. "Shhh... shhh..." |
Pot….seriously… maybe if she … What she was thinking ended, however, as she saw him shhh himself. Rain sighed, looking at the bruises. Carefully she hugged him gently to her, picking him up again. She rubbed his back, pacing lightly as she shushed him also. She wanted to heal the bruises but was afraid to… It was not wrath she was concerned with….but with his panic attack screwing with his energy she was afraid hers would simply unbalance him more and his mental state was a lot more serious then the bruises.. As she walked she caught sight of the bar, raising an eyebrow. Could she?….She could soothe the pain of a hang over in the morning…not cure it mind you, more make him a little numb till it passed, but soothe it. But he was in the body of a kid…easy to poison with alcohol!…but also easy to get drunk huh? She sighed and walked to the bar, using her free hand to look through the alcohol. Spotting a bottle of gin she remembered seeing him drinking it before…. It would do. She sat it on the counter along with a glass, filling it before holding it close to him. “Dante…do something for me please? Take a drink?” She inwardly cursed, not believing she was doing this… |
Dante hardly took notice to anything. He clung back to the woman as she moved about, pulling at her to bring himself closer. It was the sudden strong scent of alcohol that knocked him back. He stifled a breath, staring at it with an obvious paranoia. Should he? He wanted it. It looks refreshing. At the same time, it could be poisoned. No; it was poison. He looked away quickly, digging his head into her arm in a childish manner.
|
Rain sighed, tilting her head to the side. “I know it smells bad but it might help you calm down…it won’t hurt you…” Rain whispered softly, clutching him even more tightly in a protective way. “Here I’ll show you…” She said quietly, glancing at the alcohol with a frown. She hated it but… if it would help him…She took it and took a sip, ignoring the bitter taste and giving Dante a smile. “See? It’s okay…” She held it out a little, rubbing his back gently as she held her arm around him still. ((she's trying to talk what looks like a kind into drinking xD she feels sooo weird)) |
Dante watched her warily before looking the the glass. He stared at it for a long, long moment before forcing past the paranoia. He grabbed the glass from her, gripping it tight between his shaky hands in order to hold it still. He leaned against her, still not taking a sip as he stared down at the contents.
Poison? Maybe she was just immune? Or there was too little to poison her. Maybe she hadn't sipped it at all? Maybe it was all a trick? He'd die! Then... she was after him too? She was one of them? Or was she them? |
Oh Dante…” She said with a sigh, shaking her head. Rain took the glass from him then, still rubbing his back absently. She took another sip, slowly emptying about half the glass into her own body. As long as she didn’t get drunk it’d be okay… all she had to do was stay sober… She took the glass from her lips, looking at him and waiting to see if he’d take it now. She was starting to think this hadn’t been such a brilliant idea….She shook it off, however, simply holding him half cradled in her arm. |
