She shook her head, merely gripping the other around the shoulders and holding her in a tight hug. She couldn’t think of that…she knew through experience that it would mean death if she’d failed. She’d seen them kill animals that just happened to wander into their fights… and tonight it was obvious to her that they meant to take a life. “It is my fault you got involved… I knew if I stayed too long they’d find me… it just felt so good here… “ she whispered, trailing off.

"Janu, don't say that! It's not like you can stop them from following you." she looked away for a quick second. "And at least now...at least now you have friends who can help you get through this. Please don't say you're going to leave. You can't leave! Janu, I want to help you. I don't want you to always worry...." she looked down at her feet, her tail wrapped around them.

I don’t think there’s been a day in my life I didn’t worry…. I’ve always felt like something was coming for me…even as a little girl. Kinda makes sense now huh?” She suggested, trying to give an amused grin though the emotion in her eyes was still slightly dark. She reached up, pushing a strand of Vuri’s hair gently from her face. “I don’t know what Id do if anything happened to any of you…” She whispered, her eyes growing sad. She then looked away, conflicted. What….What if they wouldn’t follow her again till the hurt the others? Would even leaving save them? Or for the first time…did she have to stay and fight.

Vuri returned a small smile as Janu commented on her own past. She couldn't imagine what it could have been like for Janu, always having to watch her own back, as well as others. She probably always felt so vulnerable. She blushed as a lock of hair was brushed from her face. She listened to Janu's words. She felt the same. She had grown to love the people around her. They gave her reason to live, when before, she felt like waste, just being tossed around. "Janu." she said. "Please don't be sad." Nothing bad will happen to any of us. We all have each other's backs." she smiled. "I promise."

And I promise too, she thought inwardly. She then ruffled the others ears, stating absently “You don’t let people wallow in sorrow long do you Vuri.” Doing her best to smile she leaned back in the chair as if exhausted, closing her eyes so she could ferret her vision through the shadows and away from her body for a moment. None of the shadow creatures were still here…but what kept sending them?

"Nope!" she said with a smile. Vuri looked around the fairly empty room. She looked down at the marks Janu had unintentionally put in the floor, and she wondered what the others would say about it, or if they would say anything at all. Feeling a bit cold, she noticed that the fire was still out, so she walked over and began to place a few fresh logs into the fireplace. She turned to Janu. "It was starting to get a bit dark in here." she smiled shyly. "Maybe we could go pick some flowers too, they always lighten the mood."

As she answered the kitty laughed and shook her head, the corner of her lips drifting into a warm smile. She walked nearer the fire, looking at the burned patch of soot and reaching down to touch it with a fingernail. She wished she knew a way to cover it up…before Arina saw it. Or anyone saw it really….This including the claw marks too.

As Vuri spoke of flowers the other feline nodded, though she gave an easy glance at the sleeping arina and then the directions of al the other sleeping guests. What if the shadows came back? Could she really risk going outside so soon? “Flowers do sound nice…Then again they usually do… I love flowers. ”

Vuri smiled. "Flowers it is then! She took one look back at Arina to make sure she was doing okay, then headed out the door to find some pretty flowers. Motioning for Janu to come with her. Janu knew so much about the garden and plants that lived in it, as well as Arina. Vuri would never be able to pick out the right flowers without them.

Janu let her gaze linger through the shadows but obediently followed the other girl. She was still worrying over the shadows but managed a simple smile, glancing at one hand. So she…she had summoned a shadow…. The feline shook her head and sped up a little, heading to peer at each flower absently.

"Hmm..." Vuri pressed a finger to her lips and placed the other hand on her hip. "I once heard about this really pretty flower called a Rose. But I've never seen one...at least I don't think I have." She looked around the garden again. "Are there any of them around here?" she said, eager to know.

The feline smiled slightly and giggled, giving her a soft nod. “Yes, a few I believe.” She stated quietly, taking the other womans hand and leading her to a rose bush. Janu then reached up and ruffled the other’s ears, merely smiling softly. She couldn’t help but find her adorable sometimes and this was one of those times.

Vuri smiled as Janu reached for her hand and led her to the roses. She gasped. "So this is a rose!? It's prettier than I ever imagined." She reached for one. "Ow!" she said as she pulled her hand back from the rose. "It has pokey spikes on it." she frowned as she saw a dot of blood begin to appear on her finger. She then placed it in her mouth. "Wazzit habs thpikes on ett?" she said with her finger still in her mouth.

Why do you have claws?” She responded, tapping her uninjured hand. “everything needs a little protection sometimes, apparently even a rose..” She then smiled at the other, though a little guilt lurked in her a moment. She hadn’t thought about the thorns plus Vuri’s exuberance could be a dangerous combination.

Vuri looked at her own hand. "Ohh. I see." She said, taking her finger out of her mouth. She then carefully cut a few roses loose using her claws. "I guess i'm not really using them to protect right now, huh?" she said bashfully."But I'm sure once we get these roses inside in a vase, they'll help protect us!" She smiled, taking Janu's hand and skipping back into the inn. She then got a vase from the cupboard and added water, then the roses. "There!" she said, presenting them to Janu, feeling very proud.

((Yeah, me too. x.x I figure we could probably have them fall asleep on the couch with Arina, while trying to look after her or something.))

Beautiful Vuri” the feline said with a soft giggle after silently watching her. She could see the pride in her motions and it made her smile. She hugged the other girl then walked to the other room, sitting them on the table next to Arina so she could wake next to them. Maybe it’d help her not notice the floor…

The feline then sat in the chair nearest the fire, yawning gently. She watched all the others, trying to guard for shadows but she knew she’d be asleep soon… she couldn’t stay awake much longer. Something about discovering she could form the shadows earlier had exhausted her.

Vuri Followed Janu into the living room and sat on the couch where Arina was laying. She watched the rise and fall of Arinas chest, thinking of how peaceful she was. She was no longer worried about Arina. Vuri yawned and leaned her head on the armrest, as she stared into the fire, watching it dance and twirl about. It was somehow mesmerizing and Vuri felt her eyes slowly closing...

Gero had been meditating in the garden when the disturbance happened. he went to help, but by the time he reached the door the comflict had been resolved. Soon after, he heard two people walk toward the door and went back into the garden. He hid in a bush and waited for them to go past them. when he heard about the roses he remembered having seen a rose bush, but it hadn't had any flowers. It was the wrong season for blooms after all, so he sent his energy coursing through the ground, to the bush, causing flowers to bloom. Vuri hadn't seen them before, and he thought that everyone should get a chance to appreciate nature.

When the two women go back inside he goes back to the place he had been meditating.
