Derrick listened to her. "No, not at all." He smiled, and then watched her heal her arm. He reached out hesitantly to touch her arm, and once he was sure he wouldn't hurt her, he took it gently in his hand and rolled it over, inspecting it. "Whatever you say, Kitten. Though I'll feel bad about it the rest of the day," he said, dropping her arm gently before leaning back on his arms (this time more carefully) and looking at the clouds. A movement in the ocean caught his eye. "Fish?" His eyes widened and he began to grow whiskers. He snarled and shook his head, trying to break the shift. "Not now.." His stomach growled and he let himself fall to the sand, concentrating on the clouds. No time to chase fish right now. C'mon, Derrick.. Snap out of it.

Smiled and gouldnt help but laugh as he inspected her like she was at the doctors for a checkup on a broken arm. "You dont need to be, im slightly accident prone." She admitted with a shy smile. She let the sand fall through her fingers yet when he mentioned fish she looked up, seeing his face distort slightly. Reaching out to it she lightly stroked his cheek. "If your not shifting because of me don't worry." In truth she was slightly eager to see his form.

Derrick looked up at Lilli. "It's not only because of you. It's because of one, there's too many witnesses for me to rip my clothes off and two, what would a leopard look like running into the ocean to catch two or three fish?" He said without a smile. He groaned and hit himself lightly in the stomach. "I just haven't eaten in three or so days. Maybe more. I lose track of time as a leopard." He looked behind him and saw a couple people leaving the beach. "Tell you what. If we can find a secret cave or something, we can go there. I'll shift, you see my form, I get food. Everyone's happy." He said to Lilli, looking up at her. Part of him wanted to shift right now, but Lilli was too close for him to do so. I don't want her ending up like Anna... He cringed.

Listened, staring off into the ocean and nodded. "I think there may be one at that end of the beach." She nodded in the direction she was indicating and with a groan stood up, holding a hand out to him to help him up. "We can go so your stomach doesnt cause an earthquake from its rumbling." She teased with a smile as she grabbed her boots and started to head off toward the cave. "Plus, it might be just me, but i wouldn't mind seeing you tear your clothes off." Looking over she shoulder at him behind her she grinned and stuck her touge out to show she was kidding.

Derrick laughed. "Calm down there, Kitten." He smiled and walked with her to the end of the beach. Suprisingly enough, there was a cave there. "Don't get too close." He said, before walking into the cave, noticing she was following. He looked back at her and she stopped. "That's a good distance." He unbuttoned his shirt and pulled it off, throwing it to Lilli and then unbuttoned his pants before stopping. "Er.. Turn around and count to five. You won't miss the shift. I promise." He turned around and pulled his pants off before throwing them near Lilli's feet, and then let himself shift. His face distorted, his bones moving, growing into different places as his leopard form came through. His nails grew longer, his hands and fingers, feet and toes, they all became wider and padded at the bottoms. He started growing hair quickly from his midsection up, and he now had a tail. He tried to say something to Lilli, but it came out as a growling, snarling noise.

Derrick the leopard padded over to Lilli and bumped his nose against her waist. His ears laid back against his head as he sat and leaned on her leg, his head touching an inch higher than her waist. He wanted to make sure she had a good look at his form before he went pouncing after the fish. He sneezed once before looking up at her, standing on his hind legs to look at her in the eye.

Lili rolled her eyes. "Fine fine." She turned around and started counting under her breath. "1...2..3..4..5.." She turned around to catch him already slightly transformed. In awe she watched and shivered softly at his growl. She wish she could talk to animals..Especially now.. When he nudges her waist she giggled and pet the top of his head affectionatley. "Your very beautiful." She said quietly. When he stood up she was a bit taken back, in that position he was way taller then her. "Whoa, Kitty, too tall." Lil reached out though to lightly pet his muzzle and smiled. "Go fish." She smiled and turned to watch him pound off. Taking a seat in the shade of the cave she hugged her knees and smiled, watching him enjoy himself.

Derrick's ears popped up as she called him beautiful. He would have to tell her thank you later. His ears laid back again when she petted his head, and he let out a purr that resembled a laugh when she told him he was too tall. When she let him go, he pounced off, ears up and claws out, into the water of the ocean. He caught a couple fish right off, hitting them out of the water with his paw like a golf club and seeing them land on the shore, jumping. Two more. Then eat. He had very simple thoughts as an animal, though he didn't mind. He bit one of the fish and held it in his mouth while he basically impaled the other on his claw. Happily, he bounded back to the shore and picked the rest of the fish up before plopping next to Lilli, scaling each of the fish first. He chewed at one of the fish's heads while one of his eyes followed Lilli's movements. His tail twitched and brushed her face.

[[Beach. Ocean. Yeah. You know?]]

[[It's in walking distance. Lilli and Derrick walked there.]]

[[Sigh.. -waits for Jess to come back-]]

When he returned next to her Lili leaned against the soft warm fur of the, once human, Derrick. She rested her head against him and yawn, clinging lightly to him as she started to doze off the sleep. "Your warm.." The woman mumbled in her half sleep state. "And it smells like fish.." the groan escaped her followed by a light chuckle.

Derrick's tail curled around her protectively, instinctively. He finished off the last of the fish and pushed the bones and scales into a neat pile with his nose. He noticed she'd laid on him and she sounded a bit tired. Carry her? Will she mind? He pushed himself upward and hit her gently in the face with his tail and flicked his head towards his back when she looked. One of his big, blue-green eyes eyed her carefully, and he trotted over to where his clothes were and put them on Lilli's lap. He sniffed her face, pushing his nose on her forehead. Fold them. Please? He attempted to fold his clothes but failed. He waited, trying to get her to understand some way that they should go back to the inn. He made a grunting noise and stood where he was, waiting for a response from Lilli.

The movement startle her a bit but Lili blicked her eyes open and looked at Derrick. "Hmm?" He was doing something with his tail she didnt understand. When he brough his clothed over and tried to fold them she giggled. "Let me get that." She said with a smile and folded them. Lili leaned back against Derrick and yawnd again. "So what do you want to do?" She asked, hoping he could pantomime an answer good.

Derrick sighed and poked her in her belly with his nose. You, he thought, now moving his head around to touch his back with the tip of his nose, get on my back. He made the gesture two more times before sitting down, his back facing her. He flicked his tail upwards. We go back to the inn. His head moved slightly so one of his eyes was looking at her. He turned back around and tugged at her jeans with his teeth, then sat, his back facing her again. Maybe she'd understand that one. He didn't want to shift back again, and if he could at least make her stand up, he could do the rest. Seeing as she was trying to put everything together, he grabbed her hand gently in his teeth and pulled her to her feet, standing on his hind legs. He then walked around her and pushed his head between her legs, then his body, until her feet weren't touching the ground and she was on his back. Hold on. He set a quick walk out of the cave, and then turned, heading towards the rest of the beach. The sun had begun to fall, and he hoped she wouldn't fall asleep.

Lili's head was a bit to fuzzy to comprehnd anything he was trying to tell her. As she got the clothes in her hands she was suddenly pulled to her feet and felt him worm between her legs to force her on his back. "Hey!" She said in shock as she held on tight, preying she wouldnt fall. Please Please Please Pleassseee she thought to herself as she clung onto him. After a few moments though the movement felt almost relaxing and she rests her head on his neck. "Thanks.."

Derrick sniffed the air and set for a light jog. He didn't want Lilli falling off his back, or to move too fast and keep her awake. As people started looking at the two, he started with a gallop, going faster until he could no longer hear the shouts and see flashing lights taking pictures. Once out of their sight, he set back to the light jog. He looked up at Lilli, noticing she was drifting to sleep.

Once they reached the inn, Derrick pawed at the door, pounding on it with his large paw. He let out a lion-like roar, and waited for the door to be opened. He circled around slowly, keeping Lilli on his back while he waited.

Arina was starting to feel a bit of a chill and turned flying back towards the Inn. She landed at the edge of the walk and started walking down it looking through the trees for a sign she wasn't actually alone but sighed. It was pointless, they'd all gone their own way again. She leaned against the old bricks of the building taking in the scent of the trees surrounding the property.

((so sad, only little Phantoms and tall Vampires darting about the shadows...))

((Boohahaha? This inn would be a great place for a haunt... oh man, I could write a story about Ti coming back here a couple hundred years later.))

[[ahaha, can you picture like, someone looking like the perfect blend of him and arina taking care of the inn, or walking around like a crumbling building that used to be the inn? either way itd be great hillarious shock value]]

Ti sighed and breathed out a lungful of smoke, the fire in his chest subsiding as the cold winter air filled it. He was laying in a cemetery, his torso propped up on a crumbling headstone, its words long lost to time. Dalcha whined and paced about the rows, looking to the silent man every once in a while, only to have him continue to stare up into the darkening sky.

((can we say an old local Cemetery is near-ish to the Inn?))

[there could be a family one out near like the outer reaches of the property, remember most of the land around the inn even with the trees, is her dad's property. And yeah, the thought makes me giggle.]

Arina let out a breath and watch as it steamed into the air. Smiling a bit sadly she moved back into the building. With a small flick of her wrist the fire had started and she stared at it for only a few moments before moving over to the bar. JAsmine tea, was todays choice. She let it brew the scent quickly mingling with that of the fire making the room feel cozy.
