Sylvia giggled. "Yeah, there's a lot of strawberry or watermelon hard candies this color," She said pointing to her hair "And they are just like, amazingly good, and delicious." She said then listened to the rest "Oh c'mon Oni, I like you, we should be friends too, and, maybe you're brother, i'll have to meet him though." She rattled on for a moment before hearing him say what Lukas felt. She turned her head to him and listened. "Well, He's sad cause his sister is the stone lady." She said then put her hand over her mouth. Sometimes she didn't think before she spoke.

Lukas poured the cup wincing a bit as Sylvia said the words. "Guess everyone knows now." He muttered a bit setting the cup of coffee on the bar in front of Rain. He sighed. "It seems, someone broke her heart bad enough for the curse of our kind to take over. She turned completely to stone, it's pretty much just as good as being dead." He started to explain. "The only thing to turn her back, is if the person, who caused it, were in love with her and kissed her. Kinda like a fairy tale, but it often doesn't happen." He said sadly.
He let Oni hug him again and smiled at the boy.

Rain waved hello to Oni but then heard the fairy. Stone lady?” Rain interrupted, tilting her head to the side. She’d run into similar magic…if it was a curse by another she may be able to lift it. However, she couldn’t lift curses one placed on themselves…but why would someone turn themselves to stone? It’d be worth a try anyway…but then…she’d have to reveal her secret. The witch began to tap her fingertips on her thigh a moment in thought. As Lucas answered her, however, she found she couldn’t... one placed unconsciously on oneself…almost impossible to remove.

She suppressed a sigh and took the coffee, taking a sip of her drink before musing aloud “See…….. that’s why I’ll never fall in love. Too much trouble.” She ran her fingers through her hair a moment and indicated the seat next to her with her head. Her kitten, knowing the gesture leaped into the seat, jumping up and down a moment. Rain rolled her eyes, “Oh and have any cream?”

Lukas shook his head "They'd find out eventually." He told Sylvia "Don't worry." He then looked down at Oni. "Thanks, it helps to know that much." He smiled at Oni then turned again. He opened the mini bar under the fridge pulling out a carton of cream. Then picked out a little bowl seeing the cat again. "I am starting to feel the same way." He admitted now having the problem with his sister. He poured some cream into the bowl and placed it in front of the cat.

Lukas looked up to Rain "She's up in herroom, Uh, 210 I think it is, I didn't lock it." He said and pointed in the direction of the room. He really didn't want to go up there again, not so soon anyway. He smiled down at Oni "Well, you mmight get lucky here. Like I said, we're all weird." He laughed. "Well, mostly all of us. " He finished off the sentance. "I'm part dragon." He said, to reiterate even he was strange.

She felt bad for how she made Oni feel, but she worried to much about his future to keep her thoughts to herself. Nodding Rain headed up stairs, going to the room. Ancient blood and self cursed… she didn’t know why she was bothering. “Because it’s the right thing to do” She stated to herself in a sing song voice before letting out a disgusted humph. She then closed the door behind her and looked over the statue, closing her eyes and raising her hands.

For a moment she gathered as much of her power as she could, the energy lifting her hair slightly as she inwardly chanted a spell in her mind and began to make various hand gestures. Nothing….. taking a deep breath she tried again, knowing she wouldn’t succeed but knowing herself well enough that she’d have to try every spell she could create before she’d walk away.

Take this body of stone, heart of fire,
Bring back his sister, by the power of desire.

And so the spells would go on and on.

"Well, my dad is like that." He said to Oni "I pretty much always look like this. Cept sometimes with wings." He explained. Then smiled "One day I'll take you to meet him. As long as he doesn't try to bite my head off for running out like I did." He joked and smiled. The pain had eased a lot, and he was able to push the recent events to the back of his mind as long as there were people around.

Oni looked at her curious, "What is throat sickness?"

Oni eyes went wide again, "Really! I want to meet Lukas' dad! I bet he's nice like you." Oni got up and bent to look at Lukas' back. He wanted to touch his back but thought it might be rude. "Real wings? I bet they are pretty. Can . . . can I see them sometime?" he asked very curious about them.

((seriously this is like 10 Christmas' all wrapped into one. His eyes are going to pop outta his head, lol)

"Throat sickness, is where your throat gets all red and sore and your tonscils swell up and you have to take medicine and sleep a lot and drink lots'a water to get better." Sylvia explained. "It hurts really bad and it's not fun at all!" She proclaimed.

Lukas laughed a bit. "Well, I'll take you to see him then. When we get a chance." He couldn't help but smile at this boy. "And sure, ou can see them some time, I'll have to excorsize them in a few days. Have to make sure they'll be able to carry me and such." He said "And you can touch my back, you can feel the bones all condensed up, starting at the shoulder blade."

Ebony seemed to sense something and suddenly looked towards Arina’s room, putting down its ears as it knew what was about to happen. You see, Rain finding her spells not working she added even more energy and found out why someone who doesn’t completely understand their powers should not mess with ancient dragon blood ans her magic clashed with its magic. She was slammed back with a crash into the door, sliding to the floor before the door popped open from the force behind her and she fell backwards on the ground.

For a moment she just sat there, her hands still raised in the air. She closed her mismatched eyes and then said one word, and only one word as pain radiated through her back and butt. “Owie….” Ebony then gave the remaining cream in her bowl a sad look and shaking off her whiskers leaped to the floor to head up to Rain.

He replied to Sylvia very seriously, "I do not understand. Is it like a headache in your throat?"

Oni was glad Lukas was his friend, he was nice. "Okay I can exercise too. Xanic says I'm lazy, he said happily. He went and reached out with both hands feeling Lukas' back saying, "Wow." Oni was so engrossed he lifted up Lukas' shirt with out thinking or asking. He touched his back again feeling and seeing the bones. Staring at his back he said, "It's so neat." He jumped a little when he heard a crash from above.

Sylvia heard the crash. "What went boom?" she asked and fluttered to the stairs then looked back to Oni "I suppose you could say that, but it's like itchy too." She said before fluttering up the stairs. She found Rain all sprawled out.. "Whatchu doin there like that missy?" She asked laughing "You look like you picked the fight with the wrong kind of magic."
she rambled thinking out loud again.

Lukas laughed. "It is pretty cool I guess." Not really carring he lifted up the shirt. It didn't really bother him in the least. "And alright, we can exorcise together." He added letting Oni run his fingers along the bones. "You know the funny thing is, even though they're under the skin, it doesn't hurt much to make them come out. it's just impossible to find shirts that fit over them. Guys have a harder time pulling off the shirts that show below your shoulers and such unlike girls. " He laughed softly.
