Gero had woken to an empty cave and a cold fire. He got up, dressed in an extra set of clothes, and went out to hunt. Gero brought down a bear before days end and butchered it on the spot. he stored the meat in his pack. He then headed toward the inn.
When he reached the edge of the wood he saw Ti going in the inn. Talianda seemed upset about something and there was a fae flitting about the area.
Gero walked to the inn and asked Talianda, "What is going on? How are Ti, Janu, and Arina? Have they settled things yet?"

[[technically you weren't alone in the cave, Lukas and Oni were sleeping there.]]

Lukas woke up groggily. His hand moved to his head. As he moved to sit up he noticed his body was sore. Slowly the events from the day before were starting to take shape in his mind. He looked down to Oni, sleeping peacefully. He had to smile, 'Well, at least he's happy.' he thought to himself stretching.

Oni was dreaming that a rather large gummy bear was sitting next him telling him to eat the delicious goody. Oni smiled in his sleep and reached out to grab the dream candy. In reality Oni stretched his arms out and grabbed Lukas around the waist mumbling something about sweet something or other. Oni nuzzled him and began drooling.

Lukas, feeling oni wrap himself around his waist blushed. Then he felt the drool. "Oh jeeze, what is this kid dreaming about..." He let out but figured since he wasn't doing any real harm he wouldn't bother him. He grumbled a little though "What a time to be without a pot of coffee..." he muttered feeling his head spin slightly.

Sylvia fluttered through the halls, she wonder if anyone was awake. She sighed softly to herself. "No one to play wiiith." She whined as she moved back out to the garden. She walked around in the mazes of flowers touching petals here and there.

Oni kept mumbling but now started to chew lightly on Lukas' clothes. This being a bit of an odd sensation, Xanic woke up slightly confused. Spitting the cloth out of his mouth Xanic realized he was, he shivered, cuddling Lukas. Now that he was awake Oni became aware as well. Quickly Xanic sat up and said, "You've got to be kidding me. Oni give me freaking break. I mean seriously if you're gonna cuddle something can't it be a teddy bear or at least a woman?" He glanced at Lukas, "Something a bit softer and less male." Oni came out and blushed, "I didn't mean to Xanic but. . .but he was warm. It felt nice." He looked at Lukas and said, "Morning. Sorry for chewing on your clothes."

Lukas just gave a wave of his hand. His head had a dull ache behind it, and it was starting to bother him. "I'd assume everyones calmed down a bit. But if you don't mind, I need a pot of coffee, soon." He muttered a bit drowsey still. He was definatally not a easy start to the morning kind of guy.

Rain awoke slowly, her hand reaching up above her head to pet the kitten curled up on the pillow next to her. She smirked slightly, Eb sure was taking to this spoiled life…but she knew they’d have to leave…they always had to leave. This place was different, yes, but how different could it be?

With a sigh she stood, her hair still in braids from the fairy. She wrapped one around her finger, laughing softly and shaking her head. The pink haired creature was adorable, this she had to admit even if she was also pretty sneaky. Rain stood, pulling up her hands above her head to slowly cast her usual spell exchanging her cloths with clothing she kept in a hidden place…

Wearing her usual pants, boots, lace trimmed velvet skimpy top, and over sized silk dress shirt over it all, she stepped out. She glanced around, curious if the fairy would show as a familiar little cat leaped from the pillow and with a flap of it’s tiny wings landed on her shoulder. She gave it a small kiss on the nose then turned to the stairs, heading downward for something to drink.



Janu stirred, slowly waking in her bed where she’d been carried. It took her a minute to remember the night before and her eyes teared slightly. “Arina…” she whispered, and simply lay there…having no desire to move or get up. The kitty, unsurprisingly was depressed but at least without her powers telling her to make something bleed she didn’t try to hurt herself…

Xanic came out and stood up saying, "Yes it is best for us to get back. We are unsure why but our body needs a higher than normal amount of sugar. If there is no more back at the inn we may have to go to the nearest town." Xanic remembered about all of Lukas' bruises. Glancing at him he said, "If we need to walk back that's fine. However, if we do the piggyback thing again I'm going back in. I'm sure Oni won't mind as much."

"No," talianda mumbled to Gero, turning and walking to the garden. Good place to think. About everything. The fae laws don't let them directly interfere, but I know that they find ways around that. It's their thing. She said Ti had to chose, and the choice, I know, will effect all of us. If he chooses Janu, I'll stay, but I'll be miserable. Arina may 'melt away', as the fae said, withering to nothing with not taking care of herself, most likely, should she even wake. If he chooses Arina, I might be able to convince Janu that she's just got a crush, and that I love her. Arina would be happy, and then her brother may accept that this mess wasn't one person's fault. The inn would stay open and welcoming, as opposed to probably closing if he coose Janu... I hope he chooses Arina...

Rain got herself a cup of ice tea, in the mood for something cool so leaving coffee alone. She began to leave, drinking the tea straight, when her kitten mewed gently. This caused her to roll her eyes and half laugh, “brat.” she murmured. She reached out, getting a small dish of cream for Ebony.

The woman then walked out to the garden, stretching out beneath a tree and leaning on the trunk as she sat down. She sipped her tea slowly, her kitten chasing a butterfly through the flowers after a single sip of her cream. Causing her to shake her head and glance over to see the wolf a little bit away. She raised her eyebrow but said nothing, simply glancing at a nearby flower.



Janu didn’t move still, simply staring at the roof. She then stood, stumbling in the torn cloths she’d worn into the rain still. She headed for Arinas room, kneeling next to the bed and hugging to Arina’s currently stone body. She then closed her eyes, silent tears falling as she simply held to her. Janu didn’t think, only felt, numb from the rollar coster of events.

((Talk about doom and gloom XD.))

Lukas nodded. "Whichever, I don't really mind." He stood walking towards the enterance of the cave. "There should be, Arina was a sugar fiend, even if she didn't care to admit it. I saw a whole cupboard of sweets before we left." He added walking slower than usual not to over use his tired, sore muscles.

sylvia moved through the kitchen opening the cupboard where she had found the sugary treats the night before and grabbed a box of juju b's before heading back out into the main room. She saw Rain in the garden and fluttered over next to her. "Rainy rainy, hello! What a glorious day it is!" She giggled stuffing a couple of the chewy candies in her mouth, she loved juju b's but it made her have to shut up for a bit to chew on them.

Ti stepped out from his room, eyes vacant and body tense. This would either end with everyone happy and in the right place, or it would be ugly and they would all just fall apart. He couldn't help but feel this was his fault, that if he chose wrong that this little family that had assembled would crumble. He sighed as he stopped a few paces from Arina's door, sensing that Janu was in there, Then went to the doorway and stood there, watching the forlorn cat and the stone princess.

Arina, though stone, on the inside was already starting to turn back to normal. Her awareness of her surroundings was coming but she was still stone. She could sense people around her, but she wasn't sure who it was.

Talianda sat in thought for a while longer before noticing movement out of the corner of his eye. His head snapped over to see the winged kitten playing with a butterfly. He smiled, summoning up a bit of wind. He used it to gather up some dust, creating moree butterflies and sending them over to the cat. Using the wind this way took a lot of concentration, allowing almost no room for otherr thoughts.

"Walking might be best. Okay, that's good. I really didn't want to go into town," Xanic said to him. After saying his piece he saw no further reason to stay so he let Oni come out.

Oni began walking along side Lukas. "It's nice out here," he said calmly. He took a few more steps and his stomach growled loudly. Oni blushed and said, "Everything was so crazy the other day we really didn't have time to eat."

Glorious? Seems kinda average to me but it‘s not bad.” she answered with a shrug, watching as the other began to sit down next to her. She couldn’t help but smile a little, looking towards the fairy. Seeing the candy she playfully reached forward and stole one, popping it into her mouth without a second thought. She then playfully batted her lashes, “Share?” she then leaned against the tree, watching her kitten again and leaning towards the fairy a moment.

She glanced towards the wolf as he began to play with Ebony, watching as the cat delightedly jumped at each bit of dust. For a moment she nodded to the wolf, thankful. She loved to see eb happy….then again the cat was really all she had.



Janu glanced up at Ti but said nothing, sitting her chin back onto her arms again. She looked to Arina, letting her gaze run over Arina. She reached out to stroke her cheek, saying softly “I know I love you Ti…. But I … I’d do anything to get Arina back…” She said, half thinking aloud. “Do ….do you think she could ever forgive us our kiss...?”

((Hehe now who’s being dramatic Kage Xd the ‘family‘ will be fine no matter which way he goes.XD))

"I'm sorry." Lukas apollogised. He hadn't thought about it cause he was used to going a few days without food. "I'll make sure to get you a nice big bowl of whatever you want when we get back." He smiled to the boy. "And you're right, it's a nice day today."

Talianda barely noticed the wave from Rain, focusing on the multiple butterflies he had created. Each one was moving in a different pattern, at a different speed, and at differing heights. Swoop, spiral, dive, loop, swerve. The butterflies stayed just out of reach for the most part, though one would get swatted once in a while. The wind just re-created it, however, and it would re-join the group, a neverending swarm of butterflies.

"Oh it's not your fault! The last two days were just kind of crazy and good," he said thinking about all that had happened. He was grateful they had come here and had decided to try trusting people.

Oni, never one to run out of excitement, said eagerly,"Hey do you think I could help? I've never really cooked before but it looks fun." Without thinking Oni grabbed and held Lukas' hand simply because he liked being close to him.

Lukas smiled and let him hold his hand "Sure why not, I don't see how you'd learn if you never tried." He said and continued, walking at this pace it might take them all day. "Well, time to kick it up a notch, climb up on my back oni boy." Lukas said kneeling down.
