"Remember what I told you? If you leave, I'll go with you," he said, placing his paw on her shoulder. "I... I want to live out our lives together, and protect you to my last breath, if need be." Please let her understand... "Janu, I love you."

Lukas grabbed the syrup and poured some on the kittens waffles after seeing it look at it. "Here, i guess you are as spoiled as Rain says. " he joked, knowing Rain was in the kitchen as well. "What's with the fairy in your hair?" He asked seeing the little pink head popping out randomly swinging from braids.

Ti moved forward, sitting on the bed next to Arina. He hesitated a moment, but then wrapped his arms around the small woman. He felt her warm skin and pulse, cursing his bloodlust once more and pushing it further back in his mind. "What I said was the truth.... I told myself I would never fall into this bittersweet game again, but I can't help the fact that I love you." He closed his eyes, breathing deep, her scent tickling his nose as he sighed. " I had felt a pull to you the moment I saw you, and I honestly thought I could just leave, but I came back here for you. What happened with Janu was more me finding a mirror of myself in her and wanting to protect her from making the mistakes I did. When she kissed me..... It was my bloodlust that fueled it, not passion." He fell silent, just holding her small frame, feeling like a giant, almost afraid to crush her.

As Lucas spoke Rain shrugged, pulling out two apples and briefly juggling them absently. “I think she’s in love with my hair.” She answered, perching on a stool. She bit into one apple, smiling at the taste and savoring it a moment. She heard the fairy and laughed, playfully shaking her head a little so the braids would swing a little tighter.



The cat, Ebony, raised an eyebrow at Oni a moment, mewing happily as t saw syrup being poured on it’s meal. It took a long lick, it’s glittering eyes on Oni a moment. It liked Oni… but the other man it wasn’t so sure of. It simply, however, gave Oni’s hand a reassuring lick before turning to its waffle. It ate contently, syrup on its whiskers.




Janu looked up to give him a small, weak smile, still seeming to not understand why he’d go with her. She didn’t seem to really understand…not until he said the magic phrase. He loved her? Really? Completely…? Why? All she’d ever done was give him trouble. She looked down, her eyes closed as tears fell a little. “I care about you Tal… so much… but I still love Ti right now….I… I can’t promise I’ll ever love you, … I… can try with you…. But I won’t promise what I can’t give….” She whispered, reaching out to touch his furry cheek. She wished right then that she had loved Tal not Ti….and inwardly cursed her heart.

Oni smiled when the cat licked his hand. It seemed everything was okay there. He then smiled at Rain and Sylvia saying, "You guys want waffles? Lukas taught me to cook them."Oni continued to make waffles.

Talianda closed his eyes at her touch. "It doesn't really matter, at least you know now. I can stay, and to try is all I'll ever ask," he said, voice almost a purr. Thank you... thank you... He slid over to ne right next to her, his front paw and leg wrapping around her back.

Sylvia cheered out happily loving every minute of it "Rain has pretty hair, I like hair. " She said giggling "Maybe I do love Rain's hair, but it not a bad thing right?" she laughed more rubbing her cheek against the braid as she went flying to and fro.

Arina blushe feeling his arms around her... She moved leaning her head against his chest. "you...you don't have to explain..." She said quietly. She wasn't sure she believed him fully, but he was there, and he was holding her. And that alone made her happy. "You... really came back because of me?" She asked the hope in her voice was evident, she couldn't help it.

Lukas had to smile at Oni "And look at what a great job you're doing too." He praised. He leaned against the counter watching the silly fairy and the kitten on the ground. "We sure have some crazy company don't we" he joked "Fairies, witches, dragons, dhamphires, Oni and Xanic. This place sure attracts a lot of different people."

"Hai.... I tried to leave, because it's the way I've always been, but I kept feeling like I was missing something. It was this place, it was the "family" here, and it was you. I knew that when I walked back in that door, it was you." He said, amazed at how open he was being. This place really has changed him. His thoughts still churned with Janu's pain and the memories of the past, but he tried to tell himself that just being here with Arina was enough for now.

“Bad…no… silly, Yeah” Rain replied in her usual blunt fashion. As she felt the fairy in her hair a moment longer she playfully tossed her hair, glancing to Lucas as he spoke. She winced visibly however, as he called her a witch her hand unconsciously rubbing one of her worse scars on her hip as she often did. Usually people only called her witch right before they tried to kill her … and when they tortured her before she found what power she could wield to defend herself.

The cat glanced towards Rain as if knowing she would feel that way, for a moment actually stopping its munching of the waffle. It seemed almost sad, its ears lowering before it turned to the waffle and took a few licks of syrup with far less energy then before. It knew how she felt about the word witch…even though she was that and some…





She leaned against him a bit, stroking his ear a moment absently. She wished she could have his human form a moment but she said nothing, simply gazing at the ground. She ran a hand through her hair, simply letting her gaze wander a moment. “You… should go see if Arina will heal you know…” She stated softly, shifting a little in thought. She didn’t want to hurt, didn’t want to feel jealous…but she did. Yet still….. She was loved, and that was all that kept her from running out that door right now and going away for a week…

Lukas nodded a bit "I suppose that makes a little sense" He said and then thought for a moment "I'll be fine with just two, but I'll wait til we get near up with the batter." He added, he was starting to feel worn down again... but he'd fight through it.

Talianda purred as Janu stroked his ear. "I'll let Ti finish first. She can heal me later, at this point I just need to have someone mak sure I didn't harm it. I had accidentally bumped it into the banister one morning," he murmered, moving his head so her hand was in between his ear ans horn. "That's a better place to scratch..." His tail curled around her.

Oni finished up with the batter and now had a decent size plate full of waffles to share, or just eat himself. He said, "Okay if you want a waffle take one before the mighty Oni's stomach eat em all."

Sylvia sensed the small change in attitude in Rain she moved back down to her shoulder, standing she reached at this height, her cheek and gave it a small kiss "Rainy, you know he doesn't mean it to hurt...." she said softly. She knew what happened to witches in the hands of humans, and she had seen the scars.

Arina gave a soft sigh her arms wrapping around Ti's waist. She could sense he wasn't quite content being there. Abesntmindedly one of her hands moved to trace her lips. She wondered what he thought... kissing stone dead lips instead of her lips... Her vision had started to clear and she had caught a glimpse of her skirt. It was muddy and filthy. Her gaze moved a bit and she noticed her whole dress was like that. "Oh my..." she let out "I'm a wreck..." She added her hand that was tracing her lips moved to the skirt. "why didn't you say something... I should change..." She mumbled moving to sit up. She had picked this dress out to try and impress him but now it was just... destroyed. Inwardly she sighed again. Never could she just have that moment...

Ti lt his arms fall as sh moved to get up "You should pace yourself.... you sure you can stand?" He asked, ready to get up and catch her if need be. He looked her over, the beautiful dress was ruined... and it was a shame, he did like the view it gave when she sat right. He mentally smacked himself as his thoughts wandered, and looked to her eyes, checking her aura with a flash of gold. It seemed alright, a little weak and fuzzy around the edges, but no serious damage he could tell.

She crawled to the edge of the bed trying not to trip on the dress.. She hadn't thought about that... "I..think I should be able to manage." She said blushing holding on to the post of the bed as she tried to stand up. She was wobbly but it was just sore muscled from being held in one place for so long. It must have been a site though... she had to blushed as she swayed a bit walking towards the big closet door.

Rain nearly jumped at the kiss of her cheek, nearly reaching up to touch it but stopping as she remembered the fairy. She let her hand drop the few inches back to her lap, glancing to the side. “I’m fine you silly fairy.” She responded, giving her a small smile and forcing her hand away from the scar. She took another bite of her apple, half closing her eyes in thought.



Janu nodded, scratching a moment longer before looking at the fire downstairs. “Lets go look at your wing” she stated quietly, motioning him towards the fire. She walked slowly down the banister, her hand holding it for balance. She figured near the warm fire was best.

"All right," he said, following her. The wrappings itched. "I'm shedding, too, so don't be worried if a bunch if fur comes flying off when you take the wrappings off." So, now that I said it... what's next? I feel better, lighter almost. Yet she still loves him... As if to prove his point, a whisp of fur loosened itself from his mane.

Ti stood as she did, making sure she was steady on her own. He watched her walk towards her closet and looked away, out of politeness and the thoughts creeping back into his mind. He cleared his throat before speaking, "I will wait out in the hall for you to dress, ne?" He moved towards the door, keeping an eye on how sh was doing standing.

Don’t even think it” was her only response to the hair pulling, before teasing “Only my lovers can get away with that.” She then laughed and picked up the fairy of her shoulder, putting her on her knee instead a moment. She stuck her tongue out at her then, before leaning back to look at the ceiling in thought as she took another bite of her apple.



Janu shrugged, not particularly caring about it. Fur … not like she had right to care… about anything. She led him to the fire then slowly began to check the bones, looking for any weakness that was obvious before she started removing the bandage, just in case. She then began taking off the wrappings, focusing on each bone and sinewy bit of skin.

Talianda held as still as possible, occasionally twitching when a particularly sensitive nerve was bumped or pulled. "Thank you for taking care of this, Janu," he said. She still sounds depressed. I need to think of something to help...
