Hikari smiled a little, and she wanted to stay with Hiroku....... but she knew she couldn't. Hiroku was right. The longer she stayed, the greater the chance of (as he put it) "being eaten." Tears welled up in her eyes. It was the right thing to do.... so why was she so sad?

Hikari looked up at Hiroku with pained eyes. "N-no, I'm not..... Hiroku, I.....I'm sorry, but I have to leave!" Hikari said, tears flowing down her face. She broke free from Hiroku's grasp, and she took off, running as fast as her legs would carry her. |
He instantly appeared in front of her and gasped for breath.
"I won't hurt you." |
Hikari looked up at him. "How do you know?" she asked.

He rolled his eyes.
"Fine then, I'm an evil bastard." He said, walking away. |
Hikari ran after him. "No you're not!" she exclaimed, grabbing his hand. "I'm sorry..... The reason why I asked is because I got killed by a vampire..... That's why I'm so shy, because I'm scared of reliving the night of my death, OK?!" she said, lowering her voice so only Hiroku would hear. "It's nothing against you, OK? It's more of against me because I'm a frikkin' wimp!" she said, tears forming in her eyes.

He slowly shook his head and didn't face her.
"What color hair did he have?" |
Hikari frowned. "I don't remember........ It was either brown or black. Or mabye it was red...." Hikari said, trying to think back. She didn't have the best memory, so to speak... "Hiroku, are you OK?" she asked, worried.

He stood for a few seconds then pryed her fingers off of his arm. He started running. He was going to run until there was nowhere left to run. He killed her.

Confused, Hikari started to run after him. "Hiroku, wait!!" she cried, running after him. Tears stung at her eyes. "Don't leave me....." she said, her heart broken. It seemed like no matter how fast she ran, she couldn't catch up. "That's it, I guess," Hikari thought, tears running down her cheeks, "I'm alone again..." She stopped trying to chase him, (she followed him out side)fell to her knees, and cried. |
((PLOT TWIST!))
He couldn't stay with her. She would hate him. FOREVER. He sat on the outside of the school and gripped his hair, bawling. |

Hikari sighed, and tried to wipe away her tears, but they just kept coming. She had never cried this much before over something like this! People had ran away from her a lot.... so why was it diffrent with Hiroku? She shook her head, and walked to the school garden, dazed and confused.... and feeling disattached from her body. |
He could see her from where he was and just sighed and shook his head. He didn't want to tell her, but he had to.

Hikari went out to the gazebo, and sat down, her head in her hands. She was crying so much, her hands were dripping with tears.

He sighed and walked up to the gazebo and sat next to her in silence.

Hikari looked up, and she saw Hiroku. "H-Hi Hiroku," she whispered, still visibly upset.

He shushed her and wrapped his arms around her,
"Don't say a word, just listen. i know the man, in fact, who killed you. And that man...was me." |
Hkari looked up at him, not believing her ears. Oddly, she didn't feel any diffrent towards him. "Hiroku....." she said, looking up at him, "I don't care if you killed me... That happened 5 years ago. It doesn't matter to me now." She smiled, and hugged him gently.

He was about to run from her rage when she hugged him.
"Woah..." He whispered. |
Hikari smiled. ".......I don't hold grudges, OK? In fact, I should be thanking you.... As an angel, I've had the wonderful opportunity to travel the world, learn new languages, and meet new people. Who've all ran away from me after they found out I was an angel, but hey, it's still an experience," Hikari said with a laugh, "to be your own private airline!"

He smiled and stood up and just silently walked away.

After school, Hikari decided to go to the library to study for a while. She received a library card, (after registrating) got a few books, and sat down to work, as she pulled out her laptop as well.. |
