She taught him how to play, and went easy on him. She eventually ended up losing to him. "You learned it all from me." |

Casey laughed, "I've played Halo before, just not the third one." he told her. |

She laughed and her jaw dropped when he finally killed her. "Darn you!" |

Casey laughed a little, "Sorry." he said, "What do you want to do now?" he asked. |
She didn't know and she went totally brain dead.
"Um...we could go somewhere...if you want." |
"Sure." he said, "I heard there was an arcade around here, and a cafe... Want to go to one of those? Or somewhere else...? I don't know much about what's around here yet..." he admitted with a small laugh. "I'm here to keep you company, so what do you want to do?

She smiled and shrugged.
"Wanna go to Caribou Coffee?" She said before she started tapping her things with her fingers. |
"Yeah, coffee sounds good right now."[/b] he said. He looked around again and then stood up and stretched- his shirt rising to reveal a little of his stomach when he did. He didn't notice, because he was looking up. When he finally relaxed, he looked back at her. "Do we drive, or do we walk?"[/b] he asked.

Her jaw dropped at even the tiniest blemish of skin from him before she shook herself to reality and stood up.
"Let's walk." She said grabbing her coat. |
"Alright." he said, grabbing his own. "Hope you know the way," he laughed, "because I have no idea." he said.

She nodded as she laughed and slipped on her jacket.
"No, I was gunna wing it." She said sarchastically. She opened the door for him and zipped up her coat. |
Casey rolled his eyes at her answer, knowing she was being sarcastic. He laughed a little though as well, "Okay then, if we get lost and end up somewhere in the woods, we'll have to huddle for warmth. And who knows what else under those conditions" he joked, with a wink.

'Wait...did he just say what I think he said?'
She nodded and let out a fake laugh the best she could. She watched her breath in the air as she walked. Ichigo looked over at Casey. "I'm gunna run away." she said seriously. |
Casey looked at her as she laughed then away as they continued walking, but when she said that, he doubled back to look at her again. "What? For real? Why?" he asked, "Where are you gonna go?"

She shrugged.

"Far away like where?" he asked, wondering if she was completely serious, and somehow knowing it at the same time. As though he wasn't allowed to believe that she was. Were things really that bad? After what she had told him, they didn't exactly seem up to par, but... Well, maybe it would be better if she did. But there was no way someone like her could make it on their own. From what he'd seen of her anyway, that was his conclusion. Casey felt the need to help, but wasn't sure how to do so. He couldn't think of what else to say, so instead, he decided to get the facts first and remedy later. |
Ichigo answered quickly.
"I've been saving up money and my uncle said he's going to try to put some heat in his garage and clean it out. I'd have to pay half of the heating bill and for school, but I already pay my mom's bills....so...yeah." she said. She kept walking until they got to the theater. |
Casey shook his head, "Why?" he wasn't sure he was understanding her correctly. He was even less sure of what to say or why she would spring this on him, "What about the people at school? And your friends? Couldn't you hang out with one of them for awhile?" he asked.

"Running away is permanent. Forever. I can't live with them."Ichigo said. She didn't like laying this on him, but she wouldn't tell anyone else.

"I know running away is permanent, but I didn't say you'd have to live with them forever. Just awhile, till you could find some place on your own, somewhere worth while. A half-assed heated garage is hardly a place to live." Casey thought. And then he thought about where else she could go, "What about me?" he asked.

Ichigo shrugged slightly then laughed when she suggested living with him.
"As if I haven't been enough of a burden," she said. "Good idea though." The more she thought the better it sounded, but she could never do that to him. She had only known him for two days. |
Casey could tell she was tempted and pressed on, "We do have an extra guest room we're not using, and probably won't use. My parents would love to have you over, especially if I told them you were one of my friends. You could be living proof I'm not anti-social as they think." he laughed. "At least for a little while? What do you say?" he asked.

Ichigo laughed along with him then nodded.
"Okay, but only to prove your non-anti-socialness." She said. She walked in the theater and paid for their tickets. She walked up to the concession stand and looked over at him. "Do you want anything? I'm not hungry." |
"Nah, I'm good. But I thought we were going to the cafe... Decided to surprise me?" he asked, laughing.

"Well there was a billboard for a new movie that looked good." she said. She skipped the concession stand and walked to the "second one to your right" as she was told. She walked up to th middle and sat down. |
