Casey got into the driver's seat and started the car. He waited a moment before moving, in which he turned on the radio and turned it down so it was background noise. He didn't bother to turn on he GPS this time, because he knew where he was going this time around. He backed out of the spot and headed in the direction of her house, "So, your mom's been busy the past few days?" he asked, assuming that was the reason she hadn't been picked up either day.

She played with her hands, not knowing what to say.
"Yeah...you could say that." She said, looking glumly out the window. |
Casey looked at her briefly before turning back to the road, "Well, what would you say?" he asked.

She laughed at what was in her head that she was about to say.
"More like getting busy." She said. She hated the fact that she had pretty much cared for herself. Her mother would leave money and a note which usually told her to buy food and clothes for herself. |
"Wait... WHAT?! WHOA!" he started off confused and became more freaked out with each word, "So, what she just leaves you alone all the time?" he asked, still in his 'freaked out' voice.

She busted up laughing and looked over at him.
"Almost. She comes home sometimes. It's not like she has a job or anything." |
He looked briefly at her as she laughed, "So... how do you guys get by? Does your father have a good job or...?" he asked.

"My father was just another one of her boy toys. I have my own job and work for my living."
She said with pride. She picked at her manicure on her nails and then looked up at him. |
Casey smiled, "I'm glad you have a job then." he said, and decided not to ask any more about the father-issue, "So, how long has it been since she's been home, or is she there now?"

"A few weeks."
She said, being totally truthful. Even though she left her money sometimes, it wasn't much and she would probably starve or have to go to school naked if it came down to how much she actually gave her. |
Casey thought minute before he spoke. In the end he made the offer, "Well, do you want my to stay with you for a little while? I mean, just for an hour or two." she clarified quickly. If her house was that empty, that was just depressing. At least she'd have someone to talk to, for awhile.

She hesitated for a little bit before she nodded.
"Are you sure?" |
Casey looked at her in time to see the nod, and he nodded back in return, "Yeah," he said, "If you want me to, I wouldn't mind. I just have to call my dad and tell him I'll be home late so don't make a mess." he laughed, assuming he would have to explain that to her.

"My mother is gone for weeks at a time and I'm home alone."
She said, hoping he would realize her point. |
"I'll take that as an 'Oh, yes, Casey! I would love to have you over!'" he laughed, pulling onto her road, "Should I park on the road in front of your house or in your driveway?" he asked as they slowly approached their destination.

"Driveway."
She said laughing at him. Ichigo was always shy, but not now that she had a real friend. |
Casey nodded, "Alright." he said laughing a little as well. When he got there, he pulled into her driveway and shut off the car, then got out and waited for her to do the same, then he locked the doors, "After you, milady." he said, waving his hand towards the door.

"Why thank you sir."
She said with a pretend curtsy. She smelled the pine floor when she hopped inside and flopped on the couch. ((when's the romance part?)) |
((When they get a bit closer, I'd assume. O_o They're not going to fall in love right away or anything... Though, I was thinking soon they might have a incident, or something. What do you think?))
Casey walked in behind her and closed the door behind him. He followed to the room where he saw her hop onto the couch. Slowly, he followed into the room, unsure what the protocol was, and sat on the edge of the couch, "I'm just going to call my dad for a sec." he said, taking out his phone and hitting the speed dial for his house. When his father answered he told him that he was at his friend's house and he'd be back later. His father didn't need to anymore and said okay and they said goodbye and hung up. "So," he began to ask, "what are we going to do?" he completed. |
"We could..."
she thought for a bit then said, "go ice fishing, skating, play x-box, watch tv...whatever you wanna do." She said with a smile. |
Casey laughed at the random assortment of things she said they could do, "Uhm, okay..." he laughed again, thinking about it, "Xbox or TV sound okay to me..." he offered up finally.

She walked downstairs to her basement and turned up the heat before walking over to the tv and turning on that and the Xbox.

Casey followed, again, unsure if he should. She still kept walking away without saying anything and it was still driving him bonkers.

She grabbed her pink controller and a green one for him and tossed his on one end of the couch. She had put in Halo 3. "Is Halo 3 ok?" |

"Er... Never played it, bit sure." he said, taking the green one. |
