Kari held Em’s hand, simply holding her as the sounds continued though they seemed to be quieting and the heat lessening. Suddenly Kari turned over holding the phoenix’s arm like a teddy bear. “m…mittins… “she whimpered as she held onto the other woman. She began to fall into an uneven sleep though her fever would not go down.





It…..it will be alright” he answered dully then walked to Kari. He sighed, touching her skin and hearing the battle himself a moment before pulling his hand back. “I was afraid this would happen if I left…” He whispered, biting his lip. Perhaps his fears, were right…perhaps he should have stayed nothing more then a shadow. “her…her energy is warring. She’ll either find balance or…” He trialed off, unable to finish the sentence aloud. Or else it rip her soul apart…






The cat noticed his sudden haste and began to run faster, knowing something was up. It raced, staying jst with in Ais sight. It only stopped as it reached his body, pouting a little. It seemed sad it’s game was ended but seemed to understand his urgency.

((opening up would likely lead to you feeling hot and hearing the sounds of a huge battle and clashing weapons XD. Since essentially that’s what’s happening inside Kari right now XD))

Oh I don’t think you would harm her…” He trailed off, reaching out to touch his sisters hair. He then looked to embara, his eyes tired. “I’d call for her mother but she’d just try adding in more holy energy and exorcizing the demonic….. And that would kill my sister. I just hope she survives… this is my fault you know… if she hadn’t saved me….” Kage trailed off, shaking his head and standing. “I’m going to go get mittens, I know she has it stashed in her room somewhere…always does.”





Kari shivered as her brother walked out and clung to Embara all the tighter. She opened her eyes a moment, half between waking and dreaming as she looked up at Embara. “Pretty red hair…..just like red…is red going to leave m again?” She then fell back, crying softly in her sleep as her inner struggle continued. Where her scars were, around her belly button was appearing a design…but it wasn’t clear what it was yet.

Alana looked up at the sky trying to figure out what to do. SHe was worried that if she stayed close to Kage she would obey the voices and he would die. She didnt want that to happen. If she killed him then she would feel guilty. She got up and walked around campus for a while. She ignored everyone around. She knew some people were looking at her but she didnt know why.

"Kill him like a good girl. Alana you must do it."

The voices wouldnt leave her alone. She wanted them gone.

Embara just nodded, and said something along the lines of "Oh, we don't want that to happen..And its not your fault, don't ever think it is or was" She watched as he kept trailing off his sentence and finally said he was going to get mittens. "Alright, be safe~"

She felt Kari shiver, and moved the blanket to cover her up more, after that she re-wet the cloth as she clinged to her tigher. Hey, her eyes are open! A smile spread across her face, then frowned. "No, no Red is not going to leave you. No one is." Embara slowly patted her head.

Getting the familiar blue toy, that looked a little worse for wear now including a spill of red nail polish…no prizes for guessing who did that, he half smiled. Perhaps this would help her a little…give her the feeling of safety she so rarely had. He mused for a moment and returned to Embara’s room, sitting the toy next to his sister then stepping back and sitting on a chair. “thank you…..” He stated softly, falling into thought.






Pretty…” she mumbled as she heard Embara answer but did not fully wake. She only stirred again as the blue stuffed cat was laid next to her, causing her to smile softly as she turned and hugged it to her. She began to calm, her fever still strong however. Still…..the sounds were fading and her face was less troubled somehow then before.





The cat nuzzled his hand and then looked up as he spoke, purring softly. It shrugged and finally answered “You want too, so yeah.” The cat answered as if it was obvious, then grinned and stood up, putting its front paws on Ai’s leg. “Carry me?” It asked almost as a small child would.

Alana was still out on the bench crying. She couldnt figure out what to do. She wanted to be with him but couldnt risk his life like that. She was so puzzled. Why wouldnt the voices go away. WHy must they pester her like this. Was she going to lose Kage forever?

Tabitha started shaking violently, she clutched at the sheets her nails going through them easily. Her eyes were wide open but unfocused, and her mouth was open as if she was screaming but no sound was heard.

Ai picked up the small cat and then walked over to Kari's side, laying his hand on her forehead. He closed his eyes to concentrate.

Akuma was worried, no that was an understatement, he was downright horrified. He swallowed around the lump in his throat before gently picking up Tabitha's head and putting it in his lap, "It's okay..." he whispered, running his fingers gently through her hair.

As Ai arrived Kage felt a little less worry for his sister. He then succumbed to the emotion he fought so hard, knowing Alana was somewhere. He focused on her spirit, her energy, then her shadow. He sank into his shadow, raising from hers just behind her with his hands in his pockets. He just stared at her a moment as he stood behind her, his heart breaking at her tears.





As Ai got close she mumbled something in her sleep and turned towards him, releasing the stuffed cat mittens a moment…only to do a tight hold onto Ai’s hand and fore arm. She sighed softly, using it like a teddy bear as she fought her raging fever and inner battle. She wouldn’t let go he’d find, as she simply held onto him.





The cat yawned, curling up in his arms as he carried her. The cat fell asleep before he reached kari and once it fell asleep..it just disappeared.

Alana took out her dagger and played around with it.

"Maybe if I was dead i wouldnt have to worry about hurting him." She mumbled to herself. She hated those voices. They wouldnt leave her alone and she didnt know how to make them stop.

Tabitha was beyond feeling. Her eyes were still wide but she wasnt seeing the blurry mess anymore, instead she was standing on a cobblestone path she felt someone on her hand, looking down she saw a little blond girl with bright blue eyes,

"sissy how long until we are at the store?" the little girl said, "hush Allie we are almost there" Tabitha jumped in suprise this wasnt her voice, it was uneven, it was human. "But Si-issy!" the little girl protested, "i want to get there now! im tired" the little girl finished her sentence with a huge yawn. Tabitha felt herself smile, "Want me to give you a piggyback ride the rest of the way?" the little girl giggled and jumped on her back. "Go horsey go!"

Alana jumped as she felt the hand and then smiled as she heard his voice. She turned around and looked at him.

"It would keep you safe and make the voices in my head go away. Personally I think it would be worth it. Do you have any other ideas Kage?"

SHe hoped he did. She couldnt think of anything else to do.

She hugged him back with tears in her eyes. SHe was so worried about hurting him. The voices wouldnt stop.

"They wont leave me alone. All I hear is to kill Kage kill him now. And its making me feel bad. I couldnt bear it if you died."
