You’re a crappy liar….” kari responded with a frown, wrapping her arms around his shoulders as she stood behind him. She nuzzled into his back a moment, closing her eyes as she leaned on him. The hunger seemed to fade as she became distracted by worry, distracted by what was needed. Something had bothered him…and she had felt different since she woke…stronger somehow but weaker too…. She shook it off, leaning on him. “Just tell me…. You need to stop protecting me Ai, the less truth I know the more dangerous my father is…because he’ll know sooner then I will unless you tell me…” she said with a sigh.

"Exactly why it's on practice mode, see? The health regenerates." Akuma pointed at Tabitha's full green bar, then made his character kick her again, causing the green bar to deplete...and then replete.

"Would being part vampire disturb you?" Ai whispered. Then continued without waiting for an answer, "You seem to have...developed some...vampiric...tastes."

Tabitha blinked and giggled, "i sooo suck at this" she forgot her pouting from before and started figuring out what the buttons do, she managed to punch akumas character twice, "I did it!" she squealed

"Of course, of course." Akuma laughed and then retaliated with a punch and kick combo and then crouched low, blocking. "Now try hurting me."

Not really, I am already part demon…” Kari responded with a laugh, nuzzling into his back a moment. It was strange….how his scent seemed even more perfect to her right now…and stronger to. Perhaps there could be some positive changes… She shook it off, however, as she thought over the vampiric taste. “…. perhaps, though I found you pretty tasty before too.” She teased, kissing his throat to show it though inwardly still thinking. Would she need blood?

Ai shrugged Kari's arms off lightly, "Come let's see just how much vampirism has affected you." He walked down the hall and climbed up to his room walking over to the windows and pulling them shut.

Tabitha stuck her tongue out with concentration and she tried getting her character to move forward and figure out some way to hit his character, "grrr" she said when she couldnt get it, "i give up for now" she said quietly. She crossed her arms and began pouting again.

She followed after him a moment, frowning as he shrugged her off. Kari did not like her cuddling time being interrupted but she knew he was right….It was time to see what it had done. What angelic, or demonic, bits did he get from her? For if she got some of him he was bound to get some of her. She frowned lightly at the idea then walked in front of him, putting her hands in her pockets before saying finally “Okay…how do we do that?”

"Simple." He reached around her and picked up the pocketknife he had left on his nightstand. He flipped it open and quickly ran the sharp blade over his wrist, "And now, we wait."

"Aww come on." Akuma sat down behind Tabitha.He reached both arms around her and set his head on her shoulder. Then he picked up her controller, "Look to move you use these arrows or this analog stick..." He continued on to explain the rest of the buttons in detail and showing her step by step how to do each move, never once changing his position.

Are you nuts!” Was Kari’s startled reply as she moved to him and wrapped her hands around his wrist. She would have healed it without a thought but she felt strangely dizzy and the blood on her hand covering the but….it felt and smelled suddenly very good. She shook her head a moment, touching a hand to her forehead as she resisted the impulse to get closer to the blood. She let go of his wrist instantly as she realized what she wanted to do and turned her back to him, shaking slightly. Now she knew why she’d wanted to nibble on his skin so bad earlier.

Ai let his arm fall back to his side, his skin knitting back together slowly, blood still trickling down his hand and dripping to the floor, "Does that feeling disturb you so much you can't even face me love?" Ai questioned softly, his gaze even.

She shook her head slightly as he spoke to say No but did not turn around, feeling like she could nearly see each drop falling to the floor even as she closed her eyes to resist the urge to lick his now sealed wrist and hand. She turned to look over her shoulder slightly, a short curtain of raven hair hiding her expression. She whispered softly “It doesn’t bother you?…..knowing what I want to do right now?” Kari felt strange…uncertain of herself for once. Much as he seemed to despise this blood lust in himself what could he possibly think of it in HER.

Ai let out a mirthless laugh, "I've lived with this all my life. Since I was born. Why would I be disturbed by it? I've grown up with people trying to kill me for my blood." He sighed and ran his non-bloodied hand through his hair ruffling it a bit.

Because you are disturbed by it in you…” Kari answered honestly, turning towards him again a moment. She clasped her hands firmly together and forced her eyes on his face, determined not to think about his bloody hand. Just a taste..part of her whispered but she ignored it. She didn’t dare.

Tabitha smiled and her eyes glittered slightly, "hm....so confusing, but i think i could figure it out..." she said. She felt her face heat up and she looked down at their hands trying to concentrate on the controller.

"I am an exception to my feelings. I...it's not important. Come over here." Ai beckoned Kari over with a wave of his hand.

"You'll get the hang of it. The controls for this game are fairly simple anyway...now if we were to try the other ones...I'd have to make you read the rulebook." Akuma laughed, picking up his own controller and shifting a little so that only his head still rested on Tabitha's shoulder, "Why don't we try a real game now?"

Tabitha sighed "i dont knowww" she said and then her eyes glittered, "What the hell why not" she said grinning, "im going to die right away"

Kari bit her lip but nodded and stepped closer, ignoring the feelings that his blood now produced. She did not dare take in too deep a breath, the smell stronger then anything that she’d ever experienced. Kari put her hands on her hips, trying to look far less concerned then she was, so cluse her chest nearly touched his. “Well… I’m here” She attempted to tease..

"Ha. You shouldn't underestimate yourself. You could just end up surprising yourself." Akuma replied, eyes filled with laughter as he finally finished setting up the game.

Ai smiled, "Yes I suppose you are." and then he pulled her into his chest in a hug. He needed to see just how far he could push her until she snapped, he needed to know the limits of how much vampirism had affected her.

Seeing him pull her close Kari felt a slight excitement, but then a horror as his arms got closer around her and she could still sense some lingering blood on her skin. She buried her face into his chest, closing her eyes as her blood red nails dug into his shirt slightly. She tilted away from the side his bloodied wrist was on, still taking shallow breaths. “w…what are you doing?” she demanded shakily.

"Getting to know your limits." 'and maybe my own.' he added silently. He knew he was causing Kari some amount of discomfort, seeing as he was still covered in blood. It was only a matter of time now.

Stop it…” Kari whispered, shivering a little. She pushed on his chest, trying to pull free. She didn’t know her limits but she did know she was terrified of hurting him. Why did the smell have to be so strong....just over her shoulder…. All she had to do was turn and lick… but she held on, squirming in his arms to see if she could break free…

Ai closed his eyes, she had a strong will, but he had a hunch. If she did drink his blood, besides the added protection the connection would give her, it would most likely make the vampiric urges go away. He reached up a hand and pulled her in closer, so that her mouth now rested on his neck, right where his pulse was, "It's fine Kari love..."

“Don’t make me…” Kari whispered, shuddering gently against his skin. She closed her eyes, focusing as her every bit of will focused on trying to keep from giving in. She felt her tongue dart out a little, however, and brush against where his pulse was so strong even as she resisted it. She whimpered, unaware that her teeth had become more pointed. She let out a strangled “Please…” Even as her teeth broke his skin ever so slightly and the first drop of blood touched her tongue. She looked away a moment with a cry, though now her throat being teased by the few drops she’d received was burning worse then ever…..as if a hot poker had been stabbed in… She trembled from head to toe, clearly about to fail even in her iron will.

Ai bit in the gasp that had almost passed his lips. When she had broken his skin a cold chill had passed over him. "It'll be alright." he whispered, looking anywhere but at the trembling girl in his arms. He knew he was destroying her by doing this, but he was hurting as well. He wanted nothing more than to respect her wishes and let her go.
