Kari shivered, closing her eyes as she knew that though she could have resisted anyone elses….the energy exchange had caused her very soul to ache for his. She whimpered gently as she felt her lips drifting back, her nails digging into his chest. She whimpered softly “Not you…..I cant hurt you….” The pain radiated from her voice, but it didn’t stop her lips from lowering and her from taking a drink. She shivered, her energy dipping through her newly made fangs and into him even as some of his energy….and his blood drifted back into them…into her. |
Ai relaxed his grip, resisting the urge to grab onto something, anything to stable himself. He could feel the slight energy drain, something he should have been prepared for. He mentally subtracted her take of his energy from the small supply he had left and almost groaned at the amount left, ah well, it would have to suffice. He could only wait to see if she would know when to stop...or rather...if she could stop.

She felt her body feel only lust even as her mind reeled away with disgust at what she was doing to him…taking from him…Kari felt a soft growl in her throat, her hands gripping his shoulders suddenly as she began to lose herself. Instantly feeling this she wrenched herself free with a cry, using her own shadow bending to throw herself backwards away from him. She lay on the ground where she landed a moment, shivering as his blood dripped at the corner of her lip a moment joined by a handful of tear. “Ai….” She whimpered softly, torn between anger at him…and love, along with worry of course, for him. |
Ai winced as Kari tore herself away. Then he found himself on his knees blood still dibbling from his wounds, soaking into his shirt. He had his answer, "You'll be fine." he whispered at the sound of his name. He closed his eyes and fell onto his back. He was exhausted again. How strange to be exhausted all the time. It made him feel pathetic. His eyes opened again and he stared at the ceiling, ignoring the blood starting to pool around him. He soon found his eyes drifting closed again and he started to um softly, a soft lullaby from his long neglected past. The one that had been filled with happiness...

Not without you….” Kari whispered softly, looking as he fell. Taking a breath and holding it so she would not smell his blood she quickly moved over to his side, placing her hand over the bite wound. She began casting every bit of healing energy she could, pushing her own energy into him. She’d give every ounce of herself id she had to…she wouldn’t let him go…not even for a minute. The bite wound would close and heal but she didn’t know if her energy would be enough… |
Ai grit his teeth and grabbed Kari's hands, stopping her from giving him her energy. He shook his head, "Don't waste your effort. It won't do you or me any good." he murmured. He placed his own hand on the wound and held it there as he climbed, rather painfully, back to his feet. He sighed upon seeing the mess on the floor and then made his way slowly to the bathroom where he grabbed a bunch of towels. He came back out soon after and kneeled near the blood puddle, a bandage now covering the bite marks. He slowly and meticulously mopped up the blood.

((she did do a healing spell too so bite marks should be bleeding or anything and should be healed over <.<)) Kari bit her lip, walking to him as he spoke. She took the towels from him, pulling him closer to the other side of the room. “Don’t waste what little energy you have………and why not/ I have energy to spare….You stupid man, why’d you do it? I wasn’t going to die….I was going to hurt for a long time but not die….I can’t lose you….I’d rather be my father’s toy then lose you…” She tearfully, yet angrily, began to yell at him. She wrapped her arms around him, holding him close with her new strength and simply clutching him. Her shoulders shook but she didn’t move. ((Okay let me change that to towels then :P)) |
Ai sighed, "That's not...I can't take your energy Kari love. My body can't take it anymore." He pet her hair with his now clean hands, "It's at its limit now. If you try forcing more into me it'll only do more damage." He softly pulled her arms off of him, "Why don't you go get changed? I'm sure you want to get out of those bloodied clothes." He could feel it, disaster. It was just over the horizon, looming over their heads. He would try to take the most of it. He knew he wouldn't be able to block it all, but he could try, Kari was fragile...much more than she led others to believe. He quietly fingered his pulsing red earring.

Not unless you come with me…” Kari whispered softly, taking his hand in hers. She was never shy anyway but that wouldn’t have stopped her anyway. She had to keep him in her sight, she had to see he was okay. Something about the way he was looking at her…felt like the second she let him out of her sight he’d disappear…die…Shaking her head of the depressive thoughts she gripped his hand tightly, taking a step forward but not letting go. “Please..?” She nearly whimpered the word… |
Ai shook his head and pulled his hand out of her grip, "I have things I need to take care of Kari." He could see the doubt in her eyes and his gaze softened again, "I'm sorry." he murmured and then pushed her lightly out of his room and closed the door behind her, locking it. He then went to his closet and pulled off his bloodied shirt, changing into a black vest like top, one held together at the front by chains. He slipped a black wristband onto his right wrist and then changed his pants into a pair of white cargo pants with a black decal. He walked over to his desk and pulled his cloak off the chair, buttoning it around his neck, leaving the hood down. His eyes turned to the door briefly and then he moved towards the windows, throwing them open to the night sky. After tying a pair of beat up converses on he cast one last longing glance around the room he had called his and then jumped.

If he thought she’d let things be he clearly had learned little of the impassioned creature. She let him think it had worked, crying softly as she went and changed her close, but she was out within seconds. She was thankful for once change… her sense of smell had come with the vampiric hunger and she could follow his scent as easily as if he were wearing the strongest of perfumes. She knew it would not be easy but she would stay just behind him, the shadows half melding with her as she unconsciously began to embrace more of her power. Her father was right to think Ai was key…. He was wrong to think it’d make her run to him..no the only one she’d run to was Ai…if she had to chase him to the ends of the earth if she had to… |
Ai wasn't stupid, he knew she was following him. He closed his eyes, there was one way to throw her off. It would break her...and himself. He closed his eyes and hen changed directions, heading into town."

Kari noticed the change in direction and decided to give up being discrete. Instead she bent the light to her desires, essentially closing them in one giant box of light. She walked to him, standing a few feet behind. “You’re doing more harm then good this way…I won’t let you destroy yourself….which is exactly what your’e going to do with all this….” She sighed slightly, the light forming even more solidly then before. There was a defeated look in her eyes, because trapping him made her feel like she was being like her mother….forcing others to her will in the name of love….but she didn’t care. |
Ai kept his back to Kari, silent as he stared at the wall of light in front of him....that is until he registered what it was and he hissed slightly, pulling away, hands flying instantly to his hood. His senses were more sensitive now, more than before, and the light was damaging his eyes. He only opened them again once they were hidden in the shadows cast by his cloak, and still he didn't turn to face Kari.

Why can’t you just trust me for two seconds…” Kari said with a pained sigh, walking behind him. She put one hand on his shoulder, her eyes downcast. She hated herself for this…hated him…but loved him more then both combined. She closed her eyes, trying not to cry again as she inwardly cursed them both. “I know something bad’s coming, but apart we simply halve our strength… Just talk to me damn it” she said softly, her throat tightening. |
"I have nothing to say." Ai murmured. He had said all he could say, all that he could explain already. There was nothing left except for the one truth in his life...the one that would end it of course. He shrugged Kari's hand off, "Let me go love. I'll come back, I promise." He slipped the ring off his finger and turned around, holding it out to her, "It's an insurance of sorts, hm?"

“No…I don’t believe you…” Kari whispered, glancing at the ring but refusing to touch it. She gripped his wrist then, her eyes searching his. “I know how to read that look by now Ai…I know you’re going to do something dangerous and stupid because you think it’ll protect me…. Please….don’t do it…” She whispered softly, still holding on. She couldn’t let go…she couldn’t…. She watched him, well aware of his pressure point trick and preparing to evade it. She wouldn’t let him get away that easy….not this time. |
Ai sighed then took the ring into his other hand and slipped it onto Kari's middle finger, "You have to remember how important this ring is to me. No matter what I'll have to come back for it." It was all he could do to promise her his return. He didn't know how long he would be gone but...he had to leave. That much he understood. "I have to go now, my ride's here."

Kari shivered as he pushed the ring onto her hand but didn’t move, her eyes still on his. Wordlessly they begged him to stay, her bottom lip trapped between her teeth as she watched him. She couldn’t be alone again…now even Kage had taken off to look for alana. She felt her grip loosening as she dropped her head, speaking quietly “but… I… I’ll have vampire instincts now, what if I can’t learn to control them without you…?” She tried one more desperate time… |
"I did some research...well no I asked about that, they'll go away over time. Like I said, you'll be fine." He pulled his hand free and took a step back into the shadows that had somehow gotten past Kari's light shield, "We'll meet again, that is my promise to you." Ai murmured softly before the shadows convulged (I forgot the word...>.<) on his form and then...nothing.

((lol but waht about Tabitha :P? though I suppose we could just start a seperate thread for Ai and Kari since half the time it's just us anyway XD, then akuma and tabitha can stay here <.<... esspecially since in a few years Kari probably wouldnt' be at school anymore lol))
