((4 suffering, painful days! ;o; they can seem so long when you really want them to be over...lol))

alice was in her play room that was really a den she couldnt get out she usually got the others to help her out but this time they must have forgoten about her and she had money to spend. she had been saving for days for a huge stuffed teddy bear that was about 1000 dollars but she just about had enough if her friends would loan her about 10 dollars since she spent some of it on candy. she looked around in her pen she was stuck until she came across a stick, she picked up the sticked and flung it hoping to hit one of the guards she usually got her way with them since she wasnt a bad girl "i want up." she had huge glassy eyes she was about to cry to get her way if she had to "i want my bear."
((omg sev you really want that dress but i have to admit i thought it was so cute to i got one almost like that but black and pink ^-^ i wear it all the time))

When Kala regain consciousness and opened her eyes she was bombarded with a bunch of colors and lights. Her other senses were telling her it was night but her eyes were telling her something completely different. Once she finally got used to her vision Kala looked at her surroundings. She seemed to be in a large cage, something that they would keep birds in. Right in front of the cage was a sign and a picture of a falcon. Kala looked around and she didn't see any falcons in the cage, which was probably a good thing since they might have attacked her. It took her a moment to get on her feet but when she did she began to walk over to front of the cage. "Um... hello? I think there's been some kind of mistake." Or a really nasty prank, I don't think this is funny. After waiting a moment Kala decided that she should make herself comfy until the park opened and the staff came to work.

Renee woke naked in her cave, which she had spent the rest of the day in, napping off and on. Being an animal constantly on display was the most boring part of her life, however night was always fun, she constantly woke naked, next to a pile of clothes (pre-picked out) and a twenty. For sleeping all day it was worth it, not that she wouldn't love to see the sunlight as a human again. She looked at the small clock inside her cave, which had been built to her likings, and realized it was well after sunset. 'The others had probably left already, but she didn't mind much, she wouldn't go far, just to the local stores, and wander around. Nothing better to do than pass the day...rather pass the night, away with shopping. Funny how days and nights become one when your only human half the time.' She thought out loud, then changing quickly left her cave, and left the way the zoo keepers would. As she reached the gates to the zoo the guards looked at her strangely, but wouldn't make a sound or mutter a hello. She was just another animal to them, and she would never have them as a friend. As she was about to leave she heard someone mutter something. It sounded rather distant though. She looked at the guards, who obviously hadn't heard it, so she turned around and headed towards the cages, where they kept the birds, and where the sound was coming from.

Kala though she had seen someone in the distance, walking in the direction of the zoo's entrance. She felt exaughsted but she had to find out what was going on. "Hello? Is anythere?" Warm hands grasped cold bars and Kala shivered, she hated being cold. Letting go of the bars like they were acid she started to slowly pace. A low growl brough Kala's attention to her stomach. "Great, Now I'm hungry!" She threw her hands up in defeat.

Mercedes shook her head at Macey, "you just have to forget about her." She was always glad that all she had to leave behind was her parents, if there had been anyone else involved, she would have rather died then stay away from them. "Yeah," Mercedes agreed with Zailia, "the night is ours, we can do anything. And I really mean anything. Since we're basically dead to the world, we have no records anymore, the police don't have our prints, our names... We could literally do anything and have no one to worry about except the zoo, but they haven't cared so far." She smiled a small smile and shrugged. She glanced at her watch, "oh crap, we should probably start heading back, sorry we didn't get to go to a party guys," she looked around and stood up, "the sun'll be coming up soon..."

Macey nodded sadly. "If you say this is the way it has to be, I won't argue." She shrugged. "I'd like to see what you 'party animals' do when the night is young anyway." She smiled, trying to smother the cry that was threatening to spill out of her. Macey stopped Mercedes, turning the girl towards her. "So, what happens if we stay out later that we're supposed to?" Macey still didn't like the idea that she had a curfew with zoo keepers.

alice was pouting she didnt know what time it was "i want my bear help me out." she suddenly remembered the door the men used when they wanted in her cage "yeah im going to get my bear." she tried the door but it was locked "noooooooo." she started to cry she wanted her bear and it wasnt that far away "stupid others forget about me they so mean."

Mercedes reached a hand to the back of her neck, and touched it lightly. "We... get an electric shock... that continues until we are within a mile of the zoo." She shakes her head and looks at Neo, "and for some of us, it's deadly..."

melody was in her room reading she knew that the morning was comming soon so she jumped back in the water "mabye i should greet the others hope they brought me my book but its alright if they didnt as long as i have something i can eat." she reached the top of the tank and waited for the others.

alice was in her cage she was mad until one of the guards coughed and droped a small stuffed toy from the gift shop "whoops i droped something i hope nobody takes it." she smiled and grabed the toy "thank you." he smiled at her and walked away "i like it here the people are always so nice to me."

Mercedes suddenly remembered what Melody had asked for, "excuse me one sec!" She ran to a used book store, and bought her three books with most of the rest of her money. She wasn't sure what she would like to read, so she just got her three that she knew were good, Looking Glass Wars books 1 and 2, and Cirque Du Freak - The Saga of Darren Shan Book 1 ((yeah the movie thats coming out, but the book is suuuu good, and I'm currently re-reading it so... just had to put it D; - looking glass wars is a different take on the Alice in Wonderland story, and if you haven't read it, and like the original, it's a must read xD))

Ignoring the book keeper's staring at her horns, she quickly bounced over to the convenience store next and bought a huge bag of chips and some dip. Hoping that Melody would like it, because she was out of moneys...

Macey waited patiently for Mercedes so come out of the convenience store. She looked at the other teenagers curiously. "Sooooooo...." she began, hooking her thumbs in her belt loops, "What does a girl need to do around here to get some cash?"

Mercedes came back to the group as soon as she was able to. "Just check your pockets." She said a little outta breath. "You should have twenty bucks. They always put them in each pair of pants we wear, but only expect us to take one. That way we always have a bit of money." She shakes her head, "but most of the time if you take two or three, they don't complain. But I wouldn't suggest doing it very often."

Macey shrugged and reached a hand into the back pocket of her jeans. Sure enough, there it was, a freshly printed twenty. "Well, it's nice to know they've got us covered, huh?" She smiled at the group, her words dripping with sarcasm. "Now, I guess it's back to the Zoo for us."

Mercedes nods and pulled Neo up and Zailia up with him. "We really should guys..." with that they started walking back to the zoo... On the way she saw Conrad walking out of a dress store. She grinned at him and nodded the way the rest of the group was walking, "you should probably get moving. The sun'll be coming up soon..."

((I'm just gonna make it tomorrow morning sorry everyone D: We all got back to the zoo on time though xD >.<))

Macey yawned and stretched, her claws extending the short length of her bed. Satisfied, she padded over to a silver dish conveniently placed near the doorway and licked from it gracefully as if she were a house cat inside of a large three hundred pound beast. A small breeze blew in from the opening and her fur ruffled a bit. Macey shivered. Another cold morning, she thought rather sadly, Damn, this is San Diego, not Alaska.

Kala ended up falling asleep on the floor of the cage and she was woken by a wetness against her side. Opening her eyes she could see the faint rays of morning light. As she blinked away the dreariness she realized that everything seemed bigger then it did a few hours ago. Kala went to move her arms to get up when she saw a wing out of the corner of her eye. Slightly freaked out she tried to move the rest of her limbs. "How on earth did I become a bird?!" She then remembered the sign by the front of the cage; falcon. Her head fell in defeat. "I'm still confused, this makes no sense. Although having wings is a plus, I won't have to worry about buying gas anymore."

Mercedes cringed as she felt her body changing. She had decided not to sleep the day before and that was a mistake, because she hadn't slept the day before that either. She was exhausted and felt as if she could barley move. She walked down and drank from her water bowl for a bit, then climbed to the lowest part of her exhibit, and laid down close enough for the people to pet her. She wasn't exactly supposed to do that, and whenever she got her hair pulled it really pissed her off... but there was this one little girl that always came to see her, and thats who she was waiting for. Everyday she would convince mom, or dad to go to the zoo and they would spend at least an hour at her exhibit. It was the closest thing she had ever had to a little sister, and she was going to cherish the bond she had with the little girl until the little girl stopped coming... or until she lost her mind in this god forsaken zoo...

Once Neo was back in the zoo he didn't need to hold anyone's hand anymore, having been here long enough to get a feel of the place. With that in mind, he was able to strip and get back into his tank before he completely changed into an aquarium dweller. But once he did he felt himself able to unwind by burying his body in sand and letting exhaustion claim his mind.

((thanks! i actually had a full blown conversation about this, if we were able to alter our genes to be half-humans. we decided that wings was the best because then you could just fly everywhere, weather permitting and you'd save so much money on gas and you'd never be stuck in traffic.))

People were looking into Kala's cage, and having figured that she would most likely be stuck like this for a while she may as well make the best of it. Flapping her wings she flew up to branch closest to her, at least they didn't trim her wings so she could at least fly around. Wanting to test out her wings she began to fly around the cage doing various turns and dives. "Hm, I could learn to like this."

Having already made her way down the embankment after her stretch, Macey paused to watch the intake of tourists flood through the gates of her exhibit. Kinda like what I used to do. Macey thought and began to groom herself. She heard 'aws' and 'oh she's so cute!''s coming from kids lined up outside her cage. She smiled to herself. Maybe I'll give the kids one show....and that'll be the end of it. Macey grinned the best tiger grin she could muster up before springing up and dodging sideways to gnaw at the mysterious pile of meat put out for her. Macey almost wanted to spit the terrible thing out, it tasted so awful. What the hell do they inject into this things?! she thought angrily, still chewing the meat, giving the crowd something to look at.

melody was in her tank watching all the people looking at her as she swam around 'its a good thing my tank is huge i couldnt live being in a small one.' she looked at the people and quickly swam in the other direction to were neos tank was "hey sting boy are you just going to sit their and be a stick in the mud or are you going to do something." she was teasing him she was alittle bored and when that happend she usually poked fun at people but most of the time they couldnt understand her.

alice was in her cage she was chewing on her own paw the bad thing about being a animal was that something was biting her and she couldnt get rid of it. when she looked up at the people she saw that their were not many people here and the people that were here she has seen before. she went to the edge of the cage and rubbed against the glass and started to purr she liked being a kitten she must have reminded some little kid of a house cat because that girl was screaming how she wanted the kitten.

Renee wandered towards the bird cages and saw a girl sleeping quietly, she decided it was best to leave the girl be and headed back to her habitat, deciding sleep was better tonight since she had missed most of the night anyways.

Renee awoke as a panther as always, and stretched her claws hoping not to see anyone peering into her home, sadly she knew rain or shine they would come and stare. She yawned silently, which usually made tourist click away at their cameras, but under the shelter of her cave she had nothing to worry about. She headed to the front of the cave, where she could be seen as eyes and a slight outline. Having a black coat was rather nice when you didnt want to be seen.

Kala had stopped flying, getting beat with ice was not fun. Deciding that she rather not get wet she hopped into the little house that was in the back of her cage. "At least there is a roof that I can hide under." Kala absolutely hated getting wet, well except for pool. She would make an exception for pools because nothing beats lounging in a pool with the warm sun on your face.
