Well Durn't I feel spushul!
Jake ran down the cobbled street, his footsteps echoing as he ran. His almost pure black clothing and black hair helped him blend as he ran. He slid into a alley way, standing still as the guard pasted. Jake brought the roll he had stolen to his lips, biting into it. "Worth the chase..." he whispered to himself. He sank down the wall, fingering the hilt of his knife. "Maybe the guard will come back this way after a few drinks..." he said calmly, a smirk on his face as he took another bite of the roll. He watched the street, looking for an easy piece of food, maybe a pouch of coins. He saw an old man with a full pouch. He stood up, darting into the middle of the street and stealing the mans pouch, pointing in the opposite direction and shouting. "THIEF!" he yelled, laughing in his mind as the elderly fool turned in that direction. His light fingers undid the strings attaching it to the mans belts, disappearing into the shadows again. He turned down a new alley, slipping through shadows towards a old beaten house. He walked carefully down the path that would have no traps before making it to the center of the home, laying on the couch as he faintly heard her trying to sneak up.

((I know it sucks Jassie!))

She sighs softly to herself, idly kicking her feet. The girl sat abut a foot back from the window, hidden enough in the shadow to not be seen but close enough to watch for her friend. Since the two of them had run away from the orphanage, which she would be surprised if anyone noticed, they had been hiding out here. But he never let her out. Ever. Whenever it was time to get some food or get a bit more money she was left at home to wait. And wait. And wait and wait and wait. For hours and hours he would be gone, leaving her to twiddle her fingers all day long. For the two weeks they had been gone it had been this way, and she was getting really bored of it. Maybe I'll have him bring me a book.. Right as she was about to sigh a few light footsteps could be heard.

Rushing quickly yet silently down the stairs she waits in the hall at the bottom, right before what they used as a living room. An old couch, a table, and a few chairs adorned it, so they did most of their living in it. After this part is where it got hard. Just be easy.. She did her best to creep along the floor, but it was so old and sensitive she might as well have been walking normally. But that didn't stop her from leaping up and pouncing on him, resting her head lightly on his shoulder. Inquisitive violet eyes look out at him from behind a mop of auburn bangs. "What'd you bring me today?" It felt okay to be a bit demanding since she was the one of the pair that hadn't set foot outside in over ten days.
