Kairi yawned, rubbing her eyes sleepily as she walked down the streets. Her bag dropped from her shoulder to her elbow and she sighed, pulling it back up. The last thing she wanted right now was to drop her bag. Some of her school books were in there and she did not want them to get dirty. Not only that, but a small blade was at the bottom of the bag, just in case of perverts. Or vampires. Either one deserves to be cut. She hated those demons with all her being. They all deserved to die.
Some of her friends called to her, and she waved sleepily. They nodded knowingly, and turned back to continue their conversations. Exams were coming up and they thought she was tired from studying. Far from it. No one knows she spends her free time hunting down the creatures she despises. She had to find the vampire that killed her parents and avenge them. She just had too. Then she can live the rest of her life happy.

Electric blue eyes scanned the building lazily, long legs carrying him to the front office. Walking inside, he gave a heart stopping smile to the woman behind the desk, who ended up dropping the paper work she was working on. "Hello." He nodded at the woman, and walked forward, "I'm a new student. Is this where I get my schedule?"
The woman stared blankly and held out a sheet of paper. "Is your name Nicolas?" The vampire smiled and took the paper.
"Yes ma'am. Thank you." Before any more time could be wasted, he walked out of the room, his smile dropping and leaving a cool expression in its wake. He was tired. Sunlight was fine for him, but his super sharp senses didn't agree with so much light. He leaned against the wall, watching students pass and give him a look of awe. Two things were going to happen here. He was A) Going to enjoy the attention, Or B) After a while, tell everyone to screw off.
Sighing, he made his way to his first class, eager to get the day over with. He was getting thirsty, and wasn't sure if being around so many 'blood bags' was good for his self control.

"Come on Kairi! Hurry up!" Christina exclaimed, pulling on her best friends arm. "We're going to be late!" Kairi just glanced at the bubbly blond before nodding slowly. Christina sighed, rolling her eyes and dragged her to class. "Did you hear?! We have a new student! I bet he's so hot! If he is, I call dibs, ok?" she turned to face Kairi, a serious expression on her face.
Kairi nodded. "Yeah sure. Have at him." she said, finally pulling her arm away from the other. "I'll see you later. I don't have first period with you." She turned and walked down the hall, the sleep quickly fading from her face now. It took awhile, yes, but she was finally awake and smiling at the people in the hallway.

Nick sat in the back of the room, next to the window. Strange for a vampire to actually sit close to where sunlight would eventually be coming through, but he didn't exactly want to be recognized as a vampire, now did he?
He had a bored expression on his face, and he began folding his schedule numerous times. His elegant fingers creasing the paper with perfection. Soon, he was holding a little paper crane, and spinning it on the desk. He blinked, watching as the other students arrived with only slight interest. He wondered if there was anyone worth his time.
Turning his head to look out the window, he placed a palm under his chin and then in one swift movement, crushed the paper bird with his free hand against the desk. Destruction could be quite entertaining at times like this.

Girls came into the class, see him and start giggling and talking to their friends about him. They asked questions, like "Do you think he has a girlfriend?" and "Would he consider going out with me?" And amongst all the questions, they laughed in-between.
Kairi came into the room and shot a quick glare at the girls. They were just the time she couldn't stand. Boy crazy. She sighed and sat down a seat near the back and pulled out a notebook, ready for whenever class started. The teacher was normally late so.... She had a while to wait.
She decided to see what the girls were talking about and turned towards Nick with a raised eyebrow. She didn't see anything special about him. Except for the fact that he was the new guy. And Christina did call dibs on him, so she turned her attention back to her notebook.

With his superb hearing, Nick heard everything that was going on. It was impossible not to. These girls whispered like banshees. He had to admit though, the attention was nice. And the constant whisperings were an ego boost. Yawning, but being careful to conceal his fangs, he turned, letting his eyes roam the room. There were tall blonds, short red heads, busty brunettes.
The possibilities were endless. And then his gaze stopped on the only girl not talking about him. Was she really ignoring him? 'Interesting,' Nicolas thought, 'I wonder if she's a lesbian.' Smirking, he turned around to face the front of the room and soon class began to start.
Unable to really focus on what the teacher was saying, and the fact she was even trying to collect order from all the boy crazy girls, Nicolas leaned back in his chair, stretching out his long legs. Once during the class, Nick thought caught the teacher watching him and he raised an eyebrow. The teacher, a female, was young and it made Nick almost smile. This year was going to be fun.
Soon the bell rang, and he gracefully stood up, heading quickly for the door in an attempt to get away from all the girls. He'd play Mr. Mysterious today, at least for now. As he made his way to his next class, he kept wondering about the lesbian. Or the girl who just wouldn't look at him. Hmm. Maybe she wasn't gay. Whatever. He'd have to see if she had his lunch or another class, and perhaps start a conversation. He always liked things he couldn't have.

Kairi didn't particularly see the look he gave her, but she most definantly felt it. She rolled her eyes and focused on the teacher. She sighed as the teacher started acting like all the other girls in the class and she was relieved when the bell rang. She shoved her notebook in the bag and hurried from the class to be stopped by Christina just outside the door.
"Hey! Did you see the new guy yet? I hear he's super hot!" she exclaimed happily, her eyes quickly scanning eveyone who left the classroom. "Don't forget, I called dibs." She turned to face her friend, completely serious, all joking gone from her face.
"Yeah. I know. And yes. I met him." Kairi said, walking down the hall with Christina following, since they did have the next period together. "Don't worry. He's all yours." she added, sending a smile towards her friend as they entered the classroom. This time, they sat in the front of the room because of some stupid seating chart. But they sat next to each other, which resulted in good time for note passing.

Nick took his sweet time making it to the next class, mainly because of all the girls trying to talk to him. Hiding his annoyance, he walked into the classroom the moment the bell rang, which was quite lucky. Everyone was seated, and although there was only one seat left, he nodded when the teacher motioned him towards the desk. He was pleasantly surprised to find it was the same girl from first period. The one who had ignored him.
When he walked past the girl, he smirked, "Hello." His voice was cool and smooth, like a stream of clear water. Sitting down, he glanced at her friend. Were they going out? "What's your name?"
He was being polite for now, and he knew she probably wasn't the type of girl who would enjoy being hit on. So, he'd have to figure out what kind of girl she was. And who was her friend? Maybe he'd talk to her later.

Kairi glanced at him and raised an eyebrow. The new guy was actually talking to her? "It's Kairi...." she said, ignoring the glare she was now getting from Christina. "That's Christina." she decided to introduce her friend so she'd stop glaring at her. And it worked as Christina turned to smile at Nick.
"It's nice to meet you!" she exclaimed happily. Her face was red and a really fangirlly look was on her face. Now it was Kairi's turn to give her a warning look that she looked like an idiot. Chritina nodded, looking down at her desk, now embarassed.
"Is there something you need from me?" kairi asked, a slight hint of annoyance in her voice. That last thing she really wanted right now was to have the new guy talking to her. She had no idea what kind of guy he was. Or if he was planning on raping her later. Good thing she carries around a knife.

"Kairi..." He mused, "Nice name." He didn't have any hint of hitting on her, just a normal compliment. He was behaving very nicely. When she introduced her friend, he could tell that this girl didn't seem to have any problem with him.
"Hello, Christina. It's a pleasure." He gently took her hand and gave it a small squeeze. He inwardly debated whether or not he should kiss her hand but decided against it. She was burning up from all the blood rushing through her, and into her face, it was making his hungry. He could practically hear the blood running in her veins. He wasn't sure if he'd be able to resist licking, or biting her hand if he did so. What? The boy was thirsty. Could you really blame him?
Letting her hand fall, he sat back in his desk, thinking about Kairi's question. "Need anything? Well, someone is paranoid. No, darling, but if I do, you'll be the first one I ask." He shrugged, "But I do need a tour of the school later. Perhaps your willing? Christina can come. It will be fun." He smirked, some of his dark hair falling in front of his blue eyes.

Kairi looked at Christina as her face darkened and dropped down to her desk. She sighed before turning to look at Nick. "Sure. Why not." she said. A tour didn't seem too bad. Plus she might as well do something. It wasn't as if she had anything really planned for later. Except go out and walk randomly through the streets til she found a vampire. That was always fun....
"What's your name anyway?" she asked, curious now. If she was going to be spending time with him, even if it was only going to take about a half hour, it'd be better if she knew what his name was. That way, she could tell the cops if he tries anything. Better safe than sorry, right?

The vampire grinned, barely able to keep his canines from showing. He had to be really careful. "Nicolas Rhys," He introduced, running his hands through his hair and letting his blue eyes scan the room. How much longer till this class was over?
Shouldn't lunch be soon? "So, when do you two have lunch?" He asked, leaning on the table and examining his clean nails. "And are we allowed to leave campus for a meal?" He hoped so. If not, that meant he would have to wait until tonight to get something to eat. Well... Unless a girl from here was willing, but he'd have to make her forget what happened. But even then, the bite mark would be obvious.
The nagging feeling of thirst clawed at the back of his throat, making it harder to concentrate.
((Sorry so short.))

Kairi nodded. "Yeah. You're allowed to leave. Just as long as you get back on time." she said, glancing at the clock. The teacher went on and on and on about the American revolution, and nobody really cared. They go over this stuff every year and the teachers seem to forget that the students should know it by now."
Christina was silent for a few seconds before looking at Nick. "I have lunch after Kairi gets out of lunch. She's lucky she gets to eat first!" she exclaimed. She doesn't normally eat breakfast so by the time lunch actually comes around, she starving. "I wish she'd switch me..."
"I can't do that. And you know it." Kairi said. "So. Nicolas.... What lunch do you have?" she asked, not particularly caring. She ran a hand through her hair and tucked a strand behind her ear.
((That's fine.))

Nick listened to the two girls, his thirst rising. Listening to the heart beats of these students were tempting. Gosh, tonight he was going to be starving. Well, that is if lunch didn't go as planned. "Hmm?" He added, paying attention once more. He was a tad bit distracted by a girl in the back. Her heart beat was fast and his mouth was watering. "Lunch? Second, I do believe."
Pulling out the crumpled paper crane in his pocket, he tossed it onto Kairi's desk. "There ya go." Quieting instantly, he couldn't help but listen to everyone's heart pattern, or crave the warm blood flowing through their veins. Gosh, the red liquid dripping from their throats.
He ended up closing his eyes, and clenching his fists. He needed to get his mind off the blood. "Distraction. When is this class over?"

Kairi gave him a questioning look about the paper, but the bell happened to ring at that moment. People stood and started chatting happily as they headed off to their next period. "I guess now..." Kairi said, standing up. She glanced over at Christina, but she was already gone. Kairi shrugged and headed out of the room.
((Sorry for the short reply. I can't think right this second.))

Nick quickly went to follow Kairi, but got stopped by some of the more... Risque females in the class. They kept asking his name, and touching his shoulders, and chest. He enjoyed the attention but knew that he had to catch up to Kairi. "Thank you, ladies."
He quickly went through the door and spotted Kairi. Gracefully catching up with her, he added, "Catch you at later then?" As quick as he came, he vanished into the horde of people trying to get to class. He laughed and headed towards his next class.
His lunch would be after this. Walking into the classroom, he looked around for a familiar face. If he was lucky, perhaps Christina would be have this period with him.
((Sorry for the wait! And happy halloween!))

Kairi turned, not sure if she was sure if she heard him or not. She shrugged and headed off to her next class.
Christina was in Nick's class. She smiled happily and walked over to him. "Hi!" she exclaimed happily, grabbing his arm. "What a surprise you'd be here." She pulled on his arm towards her desk, which had an empty seat next to her. "Sit by me!"
Some of the girls' in the class glared at her, all wanting to sit next to the new guy. But they sighed and sat down in their seats, and stared talking amongst themselves, wondering if they'd have a chance of dating him.
((^^ Happy Halloween!))

Nick happily obliged, eager to get away from the soon to be flock of women preparing to harass him. Maybe if he was with Christina, they'd be less likely to attack. He grinned, finding the situation slightly amusing. "So," He started, before class began, "How has your day been, dearest Christina?" He leaned forward on his desk and resting his chin on his palm.
Looking into her eyes, he gave a heart stopping smile (yet hiding his fangs) and figured messing around with the girl wouldn't hurt anyone. It was obvious she liked him, anyway. "I hope your day has been nice. Otherwise, I'd have to cheer you up." He smirked slightly, giving her a flirty wink.

Cristina's heart studdered for a second before she smiled at him, dazed. "It's been great so far." she said. 'Mostly because he's here!' she added in her head, deciding not to say that part out loud. Best not to scare him away. She do anything to avoid that. And it would give the others girls a good chance to jump him.
"Has your day been good so far?" she asked, tilting her head, curious. "Anybody catch your intrest yet?" She hoped silently that he said no. Or, if the answer was yes, he'd say it was her. That would be like a dream come true.
