Kaeryn Kaeryn smiled to herself. "Blue Moon Roses. They're thornless, you know?" She closed her eyes, remembering the Garden of Bluemoon roses she had with her mother so long ago. "I always loved pale purple..." |
Mela was watching Kaeryn and thought she looked more beautiful when she smiled. "Blue Moon Roses. . . hmm I don't think I have ever seen one. I'll ask James for a favor if they have a green house and maybe we can get some growing here. Would you like that?" She loved doing things for other people especially her friends. She liked it when she could see them smile and be happy.

Kaeryn Kaeryn's eyes seemed to shine at what she said. "Yeah...i use to buy one whenever i could..they make me think of my mother..." She het her fingertip trace the lilac moon on her black choker. It was her mothers. "I really miss her..." |
"Then I will do everything I can to grow some for you," she said to her friend and gently squeezed her hand hoping to give the other woman some comfort. It must hurt and Mela knew that soon it would be the same for her. Her mother may not be dead but she would never be able to see her again.

Kaeryn Kaerynheard Mela's thoughts and squeezed her hand back. "It does help...and i hope it helps you too...." She pulled the girl into a small hug and smiled. "Thankyou..." [[sleeep D: ]] |
For a moment Mela had forgotten that Kaeryn could read her thoughts but right now it didn't seem to bother her. She hugged her back lightly and said, "You're welcome and I hope it will help me too. You know even though we can't see our families any more maybe we could have our own little family here. Already we have each other right."

Xander looked at James with a smile " Well blood awakens the side of me that people tend to run in terror and scatter like roaches,so it would be in the best interest of everyone if I didn't have any".

Mela, still holding on to Kaeryn's hand, made her way back to the kitchen without much trouble. She noticed the guys had made it to the kitchen as well. She said softly, "hello."

Xander stopped what he was doing and noticed Mela,"Hi..."

Mela felt a little braver now that James and kaeryn were with her. She was still a tad frightened of the new vampire but she was curious as well. "Hi. . .I'm Mela," she said softly making sure she still was holding on to Kaeryn's hand.

Kaeryn Kaeryn smiled and nodded. "Our own family." They continued walking and she looked up when she noticed the two other vampires. The lucious red hair of the one Mela reffered to as James was particularly enticing, yet the other sparked more intrest in her. Inwardly she smiled at how afraid he was of his inner beast, yet no smile showed on the outside. She couldn't show her emotions around too many people. "Kaeryn..." She nodded to the vampire and eyed him up and down, nonchalantly, and then went to make coffee. |
Xander seems fascinated with this beautiful creature,but didn't say anything about it.
"Your eyes..Mela..they remind me of home,don't worry I won't ever harm you." He stopped what he was doing and quickly turned around and headed to his room and locked his door for reasons unknown. |

Mela hoped that the thought of home was a good one and not an unpleasant one. She was about to say something in return when he took off. She frowned guessing that perhaps home was bad memories for him. She would be mindful in the future and give the man some space so she wouldn't make him feel uncomfortable. |
Kaeryn Kaeryn made some coffee and looked over her shoulder to Mela. "Coffee?" She poured an extra cup regardless and put extra sugar and milk in her cup. Sweet coffee was amazing coffee. |
"Thank you that sounds good," she said to Kaeryn. She went and put a little sugar and milk in her coffee and sipped it. "This is good, thanks," she said continuing," For being a cursed vampire house that will not let it's occupants leave it sure is sort of empty."

Xander felt bad for dashing off earlier and unlocked his door.."I just can't stop thinking about Mela's eyes,home was beautiful,well before the hunters got their".
He stopped thinking about it,he tried to repress the bad memories of his demonic past. He headed back to see Mela,for once he had felt something good from anothers energy, "Mela I'm sorry I ran off so suddenly,forgive me?". |
Mela noticed Xander come back in and listened to his apology. She looked down and said in reply,"It's okay. I- I- I'm sorry if I made you have bad memories. I'll try and keep my eyes lowered when your around so you won't have to look at them." She felt sorry for having made him recall bad memories.

Xander could tell her had upset her in some way"Mela it's not your fault,bad memories happen alot with me these days."

Kaeryn Kaeryn looked up from her coffee over at Xander and smiled to herself. He liked Mela, how sweet. "Xander, right?" She knew he nor Mela had told her his name, but maybe her wouldn't notice. "Would you like some coffee?" |
"Okay," she said meekly and sipped her coffee. She shuffled closer to Kaeryn feeling comfortable next to the girl. She still felt that she would just remind him of bad times and was resolved to stay out of his way so not to hurt him.

Kaeryn Kaeryn smiled and pulled the girl into a slight one armed hug, tossling her hair gently. She whispered. "It's okay, and i think you leaving him alone will make him more sad." She pulled away and smiled at Mela, winking teasingly. |
Mela couldn't help but smile back at Kaeryn. She just made her feel so safe and like everything would be okay. She said softly back to her, "Okay maybe I can try to just be kind." She had a bit more courage now and did not feel so bad. She hoped James would let her be Kaeryn's room mate.

Kaeryn Kaeryn ran her fingers through her hair. "I hope he lets you too." She finished the rest of her coffee and sat up on the kitchen counter. |
Xander looked at Kaeryn,"I'm Xander yes,nice to meet you".
