james looked at Xander," new to this, or dont talk often? and what i mean new is a vampire." james was able to tell he was a vampire by his smell all vampires can tell whether or not another vampire or human is around.

]Mela grabbed onto the back of James shirt when he said that the new person was a vampire. She was going to stay behind James till he gave the okay on this new guy. The last thing she needed was to end up dead. It was depressing enough to be forced to stay here and never see her family again but dying tended to be worse in her mind. Thank you very much but she intended to live.

Xander's shyness was overcome by his kind nature as he looked at Mela,"It's ok dear,I'm not a bad vampire,I won't harm a fly,or human,but um...James,would you mind showing me around?"

"yeah. i can show you around, hey mela you ok here with alana?"

She was grateful he did not let the vampire into the room. All though he had said he was not a bad vampire she was still nervous. It would take some time to get use to him.

She looked at James and said, "Yes I'll be fine in here. Would it be okay for me to lay down?"

" yeah lay down, do what ever you like." james looks at mela and smiles." ok xander were would you like to see first?"

Mela couldn't help but smile back at him. He was sort of charming even if he was a vampire. "Thanks James," she said to him before going to the bed. She pulled back the covers and climbed in. She snuggled into and smiled. It was much nicer than any bed she had ever slept it.

Kaeryn

Kaeryn continued to walk and paused as she heard voices. She continued, following the voices through the halls. Eventuyally she happened upon a room with two vampires outside it and...a human? Kaeryn sniffed the air, definitely human. With quiet steps she approached the room, peeking inside.

Xander gave a small smile as he said"Um,the kitchen?I haven't eaten in years".

Kaeryn looked at the boy Xander and blinked.
"Hello."
She leaned against the door frame.
"Are you new aswell?"

Mela was comfortable but now that she was laying down she wasn't tired. She sat up and listened to James' and Xander when she heard yet another voice. Curiosity getting the better of her she slipped out of bed. She grabbed some more clothes and went into the bathroom to get changed into regular clothes, well regular men's clothes. It felt weird not being in a dress but it was better than walking around in only a robe.

Not getting to close she peeked at the new comers but made sure to stay behind James. She was still scared of Xander more so with the knowledge he was a vampire. She noticed a lady there now as well. She didn't reply but wondered if this one was a vampire like the rest of them.

Kaeryn

Kaeryn watched the hide behind the other vampire and raised an eyebrow and she listened to what the girl wondered.
"I'm a vampire."
Bored, she ran her fingers through her hair.
"And your a human, named Mela."

(( oops I think I made things confusing. . .Okay I am in James' room, James and Xander went to the kitchen. . and you are in the doorway of the kitchen? ))

Mela grabbed onto the back of James' shirt. She was scared now. This lady vampire just knew what she was thinking! Unable to resist her own curiosity she ask softly,"H. . how did you do that."

Kaeryn

Kaeryn shrugged.
"Telepathy. And theres no reason for you to be scared."
She smiled at the girl.
"I have alot of self control."

Funny she thought because it seemed all the vampires here said they were nice. So far no one had harmed her or tried to. Maybe the vampires in this place really weren't that bad. She let go of James' shirt and took a better look at the woman. "Telepathy, that's amazing. Can you read other vampires' minds as well as humans? But I don't understand what you mean by having a lot of self control?"

Having only spent an hour or so here Mela kept forgetting what the true nature of a vampire was. James seemed so human that she had sort of let it slip her mind that a vampire was a blood sucking fiend.

Kaeryn

Kaeryn nodded and tapped her forehead and spoke to Mela telepathically.
"yup, i get in everywhere."
She smiled, listenging to how naive the girl was.
"It means im not going to hurt you."
