Violet sighed and looked at the charred man that had approached her. This one, she thought, this one is pretty strong, too. Even though, he still would be no match for the man she was after.

The people in the bar had a look of terror in their eyes. I guess they never saw magic before.

"Witch!" One of them blurted out and pointed at her.

Great, she grumbled to herself. And she hadn't even done anything... this time.

Violet watched the woman leave the bar quickly followed by two men that slid out of the shadows. She turned back to face the cloaked man but he quickly excused himself and went after the woman. He look a little tired. She wondered if she should go and help also but the curses and words that were being spat at her caught her attention more. A slender man broke a bottle on the table where violet was sitting and brandished it towards her like a knife.

Violet lazily looked up. Now it would be her turn, she grinned. Coming to her feet she lightly grabbed the chair she had been sitting in and smashed the man in the head with it like it was made of paper. The chair shattered and she picked up two of the legs.

"Alright then," she turned smiling, "Anyone else feeling lucky?"

Everyone hesitated for a second and then seemed to lurch forward as one. They came at her from all sides but she deftly batted them away with the legs. Without even breaking a sweat. This was too easy, she thought.

"Don't even move!" The bartender from behind the bar had fetched a shot gun and was pointing it at Violet. "You-you get out of here now! I don't know what you are, but we don't want you here!"

Violet sighed heavily and dropped the legs of the chair. "Sorry for the mess." She waved a hand in the air as she turned to leave the bar. Stepping over the unconscious bodies of the men she had just taken out. "That first man is wanted. He's worth a good 10,000. Turn him in and fix up the bar with the money."

She got to the doorway and placed a hand on it. Turning she batted her eyelashes and blew a kiss at the bartender. "No hard feelings?" With that she stepped out into the darkenss where her eyes were more adjusted to the dim light from the moon.

"It's okay....*sob*...let them kill me....I deserve it...."She literally cried out.She looked out at him with sad eyes."No one...will...*sob*....miss me anyway...Maybe 215 years was enough....."She cried.

The man holding her looked around her head and whispered for her ears only."Yes 215 years was enough,sweethear,your a goner...."He let his threat trail off as she sobbed.

She looked at the man with regret."I shouldn't have come here...I shouldn't have gotten you into this..."she whispered to him,and continued to sob quietly.

The man behind her holding her wrists roughly together whispered for her ears only"Baby if you speak one more time it's over now..."He smilled at her.

She looked at him quietly."Leave it's fine..."She mouthed to the man across the alley way.

He grit his teeth, his eyes narrowed and blazed with rage. The bright purple color quickly replaced with a fire red color, almost the same shade has his long hair. His lips moved. The spell on the tip of his tongue and ready to fly.

The same spell he had used minutes ago. He thought it fitting. He could feel the power flowing in his veins, he could feel it as it moved through the air. Faster than thought, once the spell was said, there was little to be done about it. Unless..the proper counter was known and said before his own took form.

Flames wrapped around the man, burning him, searing his flesh and hair. The flames took on the shape of the great bird. The phoenix. The flames never once touched the girl. Only the man that held her. It was a spell that targeted only that man, and that man was the only thing it would burn. Within moments of appearing, the phoenix and the man it was burning, vanished into nothingness. Leaving behind only a tail of purple smoke.

"Lady Katherine," His voice sounded so far away to his own ears.

Katherine eyes widened as he took on a stage of rage,and his eyes turned fire red.She flinched when the bird flew over so fast she didn't see it.

Before the bird had scorched the man he had pulled a knife out of his pocket.When the bird hit him he stabbed the knife into her side and pulled down her leg when he fell.

She screamed in agony.When the bird left she fell to the ground and struggled in pain.As silent tears ran down her cheecks.She heard his far away voice."Lady Katherine," he said.

She tried to look up but failled when she couldn't unwrap herself from the ball of pain she was.The purple smoke is all she could see.

His eyes had widened with horror when he saw the knife plunged into Katherine's body. Into her side and pulled down her leg, for a moment he couldn't do anything. For a moment he seemed frozen in place.

He moved. Rushing to her, kneeling by her side and putting his hand over her side. Over the place where the horrible wound started. "Raginu gydomųjų galių Didžiosios Feniksas. Fire engulfed his hand, then moved into her wound. It didn't burn, it was soothing, gentle and it moved quickly. Coursing through her entire body to instill calmness and soothing warmth. It soared down the length of her wound, healing and closing it completely. No scar would be left.

This was the healing power of a Phoenix.

While she lay there trying not to panick.She thought to herselfThis is the end...I lived a good healthful 215 years now i will perish a slow and painful death.

When she thought this she saw the man from the bar rush over to her.He kneeled and put his hand over her side.She instinctively flinched,thinking he may put his hand on it causing only more pain.Instead he spoke words she had never heard of before.

She didn't look up as to find what he was doing she only felt a soothing warmth spread from her side all the way down her leg.As the warmth spread it left behind not a single drop of pain that she had felt just seconds ago.

She didn't move though thinking that if she moved it would hurt again.She still let the tears roll silently down her cheecks ,because of the memories that had came with the man that had just died.

"Lady Katherine," He spoke when he was done healing her, not even a scar was left. He reached out, gently taking her face in his hands and turning it so she looked directly at him. His eyes were a dull sky blue now, but they seemed to be coming back to the usual purple. He leaned towards her and kissed the tears from her cheeks.

He stood, taking both her hands and gently, easily he lifted her to her feet. He didn't let go of her, wanting to make sure she didn't fall over. "There now. Everything is alright."

She looked directly at him still softly crying.His eyes a light blue/light purple.He leaned forward towards her and kissed the tears from her cheecks.She almost flinched when he did so.Its okay Katherine...He's the one who saved you not hurt you.she thought.

When he stood he lifted her to her feet.He didn't let her go.She let all the emotions of the past flood into her eyes pain,destruction,anger,fear,sadness,and lonliness.All of her emotions were of the extreme hights,and in her mind and soul will forever be there.

She Wept softly once more and slowly wrapped her arms around the only person she has ever trusted.Even though she had just met this man she trully did trust him for some reason.

"Thank you..."She wept softly.Her response coming out only as a weak distorted whisper.

She was weeping, and the emotions that swam through her eyes nearly tore his heart in two. He pulled her close to him, wrapping his arms around her as well as part of his cloak. As if he could shield her from the world.

"Poor, poor child." He murmmered softly. A hand running through her hair, gently, soothingly while his other arm stayed around her waist. Holding her against him. He was weak now though...He had given her alot of blood earlier and now he had used more spells. It was energy draining, but he would not give in.

"Come, Lady Katherine." He moved a bit, shifting his arms. One went under her knees and the other stayed around her waist. Then he lifted her, holding her in that classic princess style. He stared walking back towards the bar. He needed something to drink and she could sit at the table and rest.

"Poor,poor child."He whispered softly.While we was running a hand through her hair,gently,soothingly while his other arm statyed around her waist.He held her closer to him.She could feel he was weak.

"Come,Lady Katherine."He moved shifting his arms.He picked her up princess style.He walked taking her to the bar along with him.

She clung to him."You don't have to carry me..."She whispered softly."I know your weak..."She whispered.

As they got to the bar door she used her foot to open it since he was carrying her.When they rentered the bar this time everyone stared.She bit her lip,and she hid her face behind his shoulder."Let me buy you a drink...You need it..."She whispered in his ear.

He smiled softly, holding her gently but tightly. He paid no attention to anyone else in the bar. Making his way to a table in the corner. With his foot he slid one of the chairs out, and gently sat her down in it.

He looked tired and purple markings were beginning to appear on his forehead. He rubbed his temples lightly as he moved to sit down in the chair across from Katherine. Reaching up to pull the hood of his cloak back up, hiding his face from anyone's view.

His eyes were on Katherine, and his hands rested now in his lap, one ontop of the other. He nodded slightly. "A glass of lemon water would suffice, Lady Katherine."

As he sat her down carefully.She felt a little guilty for taking so much blood.She didn't want to sit across from him.So she got up and sat in the chair next to him.

She looked at him carefully and she saw purpule markings on his forehead.She watched him as he pulled the hood of his cloak back up.She wanted to see his face so she slowly reached her hand up and lightly moved his hood down so only she could see his face.

She put her hand on his and looked at him for his reaction.The waitress had just come over so she ordered the drink."A glass of lemon water."She whispered knowing the waitress would hear her.She pulled her leather wallet out of her pocket and pulled out a twenty."Keep the change..."She smilled and looked at the waitress.

"Why thank y'all miss.That's very kind of y'all!"She smilled back at Katy excitedly.
"Your welcome..."She whispered.
"I'll bring y'all that right away!"The waitress said happily.Katy smilled at her in response.

She turned away from the waitress once she was gone.She looked at him with the other emotions still stuck in her eyes,but with a new emotion that was dominant,worry."Are you okay...?"She whispered to him.

He watched Katherine when she moved to the other chair, and when she reached up to move his hood some, he turned his head just slightly away from her. The markings were still there, though not really markings, a sentance or two in that language he had spoken. Though it seemed that more words were appearing across his face directly under his eyes and across the bridge of his nose.

She put her hand on his. His skin was still as warm as it had been when she had first fed from him. He would be fine. He was fine. Just a little thirsty.

He was silent, when the waitress came to the table he lowered his head, fire red bangs falling forward and hiding part of his face. When the waitress had left, he looked up and at Katherine. His eyes were the normal violet purple, as they should be. He smiled at her.

"It has been awhile since I've used any magic at all. My body has grown unaccustomed to it. A glass of water and a little bit of resting is all I need."

"I live close by if you want to rest there...."She whispered,and looked away realising what she had just said.Oh...wow...

The waitress came over with his water,almost glowing with pleasure.Okay then...she thought.

"Here is y'all's water ma'am can i get y'all anything else...?"She questioned Katy.Katy smiled and replied softly"No thank you ma'am..."

When the waitress left she looked back at him and lightly moved her hand across the symbols and words on his forehead."Aren't these some of the words you just spoke...?"she whispered her question to him.

He chuckled softly when she offered to let him stay at her house. "Most people would see something like that as inappropriate, Lady Katherine. Or they might think that we are courting each other." The was a hint of playfulness to his tone, but only a hint.

Once the water was sat on the table, he reached for it immediately. Grasping the glass gently and bringing it to his lips. He gulped down the water quickly, thirstily. It did seem to refresh him as soon as it had touched his lips. He sat the empty glass down and looked at Katherine, nodding slightly when she touched the symbols and words on his forehead.

"The magic is a part of me. It is as natural to me as my own skin, it is embedded into my soul. But even I do not know why the words appear sometimes." He shook his head slightly. "Proof of the Magus, some have called it. They will go away soon though, so do not worry, Lady Katherine."

She laughed queitly,"That was embarrassing but it is an offer..."she looked down shyly.He's only a friend...right...?If he wants to be more i wouldn't object...She thought.If she could blush she would have been.

She watched as he gulped down the water quickly."Would you like another...?"She questioned him shyly.She could tell that he was more refreshed.

She smiled."I'm glad you are not ill."she whispered.She laid her hand on his once again.What's wrong with me?!I have never been so caring to anyone in my 215 years!!!????Maybe i should just leave before i get in to deep with him....She thought to herself.

He chuckled softly and pat her hand lightly. "You are a sweet girl, Lady Katherine."

Without warning he had stood, pulling his cloak tight about his body and the hood down, hiding his face from anyone's view. He turned towards Katherine and held his hand out to her. "I do think I would greatly enjoy resting in your home."

He glanced around the bar once. Eyes seeking out the lady Violet. There had been questions she wanted to ask him. No matter, he would leave a trail for her to follow if she still wished to ask him questions. A trail only her eyes could see. Gentle wisps of purple smoke would follow in his wake, invisible to everyone but the one person they were meant for.

Her eyes widened a little when he suddenly stood up and pulled his cloak around him and his hood back down hiding his face from everyone's view.He held his hand out to Katy."I do think i would greatly enjoy resting in your home."He said to her.She looked at him questioningly at him,and laughed.She smiled at him.

She took his hand."Follow me then..."She said with a hint of playfullness in it.What?????She thought.She led him out of the bar with all the sets of eyes following them.She smirked at the man close to the door.She pulled him out the door and back out of the alley.She led him to her home still holding his hand gently.She looked down as she led him into the front door.A little embarrassed.

"Here is my home..."She whispered shyly.

He smiled at her. Following her on silent footsteps through the bar, then out it. She led him out of the alley and to her house. He entered a little behind her, closing the door behind him. He still held her hand gently.

With his other hand, he reached up and pushed the hood of his cloak away. Revealing his face. It seemed that the purple markings were beginning to fade. His eyes danced this way and that, looking over her home with a smile. "It is a lovely home, I am deeply honored that you would share it with me for awhile." He brought her hand to his lips and kissed the back of it softly.

She looked at him suprised.He is such a gentlemen..."Not to vampiric...."She whispered shyly.She pulled him gently into the living room."This is my living room....."She whispered.

"The couch is behind us..."She looked at him shyly.I've never been so shy or caring...What???"Um.....I...."She studdered.She had no clue what to say.So she just looked at him with her shy eyes,with a hint of playfullness in her eyes.

He allowed her to lead him into the living room. He had shook his head slightly when she whispered "Not to vampiric..." He turned slightly to look behind them at the couch. His eyes dancing over the room, that smile still on his lips. Then his eyes were on her and he pulled her against his chest. Slipping one arm around her waist, his other hand gently running through her hair.

"You seem troubled by something."

"I don't know...i guess memories..."She lied.She looked up at him.He still was smiling.So she smiled up at him."I...just..."She whispered.She looked away quickly.She looked around her house.I haven't been here for 12 months and it's still looks the way i left it...She hugged him."Thank you so much..."She told him."I owe you my life..."she whispered.She looked up at him and smilled.

"I see."

When she hugged him, he held her close for a moment. Then he pulled away, looking around at her home. It really was a lovely place. They were alone, completely alone. No other eyes or ears anywhere near them. He took a slight step back. "Lady Katherine," He bowed at the waist, bowing like a proper gentleman. "I am Kry Feniksas. Servant of the God Suzaku, the great Phoenix." He stood from the bow.

He removed his cloak, revealing himself to her. The long sleeved black button down shirt he wore, tucked into the tight black pants, which themselves were tucked into the legs of his knee high low heeled boots. His fire red hair finally free from the inside of the cloak hung down his back and to the floor in a single thick braid.

When he pulled away she looked at him questioningly,for he looked around searchingly.He took a step back and introduced himself."Kry...the great Phoenix..."She whispered,and smiled.That
s why he was looking searchingly around....she thought softly.

He then took off his cloak.He wore a long sleeved black button down shirt tucked into very tight pants,which were tucked into his low heeled boots.He freed his hair finally from his cloak.she sighed and had another blush moment.

She looked at him and took his hand again."Let me show you around the house..."She whispered.


"...this is my room...."she whispered shyly.And stopped so he could look around.

He watched her with a smile on his lips. Allowing himself to be led into another room on what had quickly become a tour of her home. The bedroom. His eyes darted this way and that, looking over the room approvingly.

"You live in such a marvelous home by yourself?" He questioned her softly.
