Ehl didn't reply, but growled hungrily. More than ready. His red eyes were locked on the small elk (we're just gonna say it's an elk XD) and his breathing came quick. After a few moments of forcing himself to think clearly, the pale youth nodded.
"Ready."

Helga grinned at Keji, laughing good heartedly at his comment and shyness. As she listened to Esmme explain why the clan's newest member arrived, her mood dampened. The boy had been dying, regardless of the bittersweet standing of the situation, Helga trusted that it was for the better. He was alive now, sort of, and Esmme had saved him. Helga's eyes practically glowed with admiration. Never in her life had she imagined vampires being so charitable. Thinking of the fate the boy was saved from, she wondered if she'd ever be so useful as a vampire.
Helga nodded as Esmme spoke of first feedings, and became intrigued at the mention of Keji's first feeding. "Vas it messy?" she asked, her nose wrinkling above her wide smile.

((BAH! I'm off to do uni work now. ta!))

"alright pup, go catch your dinner" *as he nudges Ehl with his nose* "i'll be right here watching. if u need me, just call. they won't understand what u're saying anyway, but don't switch ur focus!!"

"Messy?" Esmme's blue eyes widened. "Worse than I've ever seen."
Keji chuckled, and nodded in agreement. "I don't remember much, but I do recall being utterly disgusted." The vampire shook his head. "I'm still sickened by it, but not as much any more."
The clan leader sighed, and strolled out into the moonlight. With a nod, she headed off in Auda and Ehl's direction.

Keji smiled as Esmme left, and turned his gray eyes to Helga. "It took me the better part of a week to get a real grip on my new life." Giving her hand a squeeze, the elf sighed. "But I think I'm used to it now." He grimaced. "Especially the part about healing quickly."

Ehl shot off the instant Auda gave the signal. Shooting off in a blur, the vampire let out a bark of laughter - this was unlike anything, moving this fast. Nothing could compare.
The new Cullyn member forced the small herd to run, immediately overtaking the smallest elk. Snapping it's neck easily, he hissed as one of the larger beasts a[proached him. In the end, both elk ended up down in the dirt. Thoughtlessly, Ehl dug his fangs into the smaller animal, feasting as only a vampire could.
Nothing is more freakish than a feedling's first meal. And there is no greater definition of "mess." The pale youth fed ravenously - not a single inch of him remained clean. When Ehl finished, he forced his blackened eyes down to his bloody hands.
"Vampire," he whispered, his eyes widening. Breathing quickly, he shook his head in disbelief. Ehl spun around quickly, looking at Auda in fear. "I'm a vampire?"

aye pup, you're a glorified leech. hahahaha *as he begins to chow down on the former elk* come pup, drink. as your drink your fill think back, you'll see the signs. i mean really, did u think a NORMAL pup could keep up with me?

Licking a bit of "food" off of his fingers, Ehl nodded. "Speed," he said in a smooth voice, "strength. Heightened senses. Instincts that I've never even thought about . . . I just . . . didn't," Ehl paused. "I didn't know they were real. They're from legends." Reaching up, the teen fingered one of his fangs. He sat down beside the ravaged corpse, ignoring the gore and blood that coated him and the ground nearby. His eyes suddenly flashed to Auda. "What are you?"

hehe, not the same as you thats for sure pup. I am Auda, not much more than a large blue wolf with the gift of speech. I am a protector of the clan you now belong to(even tho they sure don't need it hehe) and my newest role is your uncle hehe. Since I'm not like u, i can't teach u everything u need to know, just some. so what else ya got pup?

"Auda," Ehl repeated, tilting his head. "I'm Eliazar." He grimaced. "Though Ehl is preffered." The young vampire shook his head viciously, scattering drops of blood in every direction. When he finished, the youth gave the wolf a crooked grin. "Thank you." He scanned the surrounding area, taking a deep breath. In a sudden movement, he stood and walked over to Auda, dropping to sit beside him.

Helga squeezed Keji's hand back. "I am glad you are used to ik now. I vonder how much time our new leedle vamp vill need," she said. Moving some of his silver hair from his face, she continued. "So you are feeling better, yes?" She narrowed her pigeon brown eyes at him, in search for any sign of lingering injury.

*plops his head down into Ehl's lap* so, Ehl, tell me about your life. what were your hopes and dreams? tell me about your family...and what was ur first impression of yours truly *as his tail begins to wag*

The second in command felt a light blush rise to his cheeks when she scrutinized him, and he couldn't help but grin. "Yes," Keji murmered, moving to grab either side of Helga's face. Stroking her hair back gently, the elf leaned his forehead against hers. "How could I feel badly with you around?" The elf smiled. "I am feeling much better. Thank you."

Ehl smiled slightly, trying to wipe a smear of blood off of his cheek - only to further spread it.
"I was an artist," he said quietly. "I was always weaker than the others, and I couldn't do what they could." His red eyes dropped to Auda's head, and he gave the wolf a pat. "I drew and painted. I couldn't do much else. Sometimes I couldn't even lift my own hand because of the sickness."
The pale youth grimaced. "I always hoped I would get better. Honestly, I didn't look beyond that. I don't have any dreams." Ehl smiled again, this time weakly. "And I don't have any family. I never really did." Trying to lighten the mood, the artist scratched Auda's ears. "And my first impression of you was . . . well, I was pretty freaked out."

"poor pup, auda knows what it's like to be less than those around you, or at least feel like it. auda used to be sick, but then he worked hard and got strong. like bull!! hehe. so you're an artist, eh? you must draw for me sometime. and don't worry, u did get better. just in ways u never imagined. AND, u're even better off than the kids who were stronger than u!! and don't u worry Ehl(do u mind if i call ya pup? it feels better hehe) you will find that we will love you as well as any human family and better, just because we're not human hehe." *licks your cheek* mmm, elk *playfully pounces on Ehl, nuzzling his sides with his nose and licking all over*

Esmme watched in silence from the trees, a broad smile on her face. This new feedling would have no trouble coming into the clan . . . not with Auda around. She let the wind tug at her short hair for a few moments before turning back to the den - she wasn't needed to help Ehl. She would wait, as she always did, for another moment. Even with the new child with them, more strength was needed. No doubt, Craven was doing the same thing she was. With a frown, the pale elf headed into the trees. I will be back by morning. Speeding up, she headed for another town.
(I will let anyone bring another vampire in here, if you wish. ^__- I don't know if I can control any more . . . LOL, Craven, Esmme, Drama, Ehl, Keji . . . I've got a full plate this time around. *chuckle*)


Ehl smiled. "Pup sounds more natural coming from you," he said. It was then that Auda suddenly "attacked" him, and he let out a startled cry before laughing. As the wolf's pink tongue swiped across his face and hands, the teen squirmed about, playfully laughing and pushing against the canine's blue form. Maybe Auda was right. Maybe this was his chance to start over with a new life and family.
The young vampire struggled to avoid the strong paws and muzzle that hounded him, but to no avail. In the end, he lay still, unable to move because of his laughter.

((Just in case anyone was wondering . . . the little “L” on the left side of this picture is pretty much how I imagine Ehl . . . Hehe, he was based off of him. Just . . . a little older. LOL, the second picture as well.))

*laughs loud and hard as he plays with Ehl for awhile* hahahaha...ok pup. now that the worst is over, what say we go home? *gently lashes onto his arm and tosses him onto his back* now, here comes another important lesson pup. not every animal that walks on 4 legs will let u ride him. remember that this is a privilege and i am under no obligation to do so. i do it cuz i like it lol next lesson. when im running, u're to press ur head as close to my back as possible. it'll let me go faster hehe. and maybe one day, if u're good enough, i'll let ya ride me into battle hehe *he gazes blankly, dreaming of being an epic mount hehehehe* now, lets get home and party. we have a new member of the family to greet *winks and then w/o warning, sprints off into the forest*

Helga closed her eyes as her forehead rested on Keji's. "I am vhat doctor ordered?" she murmured, feeling as close to bashfulness as she ever would. Tilting her head some, she gave Keji the quickest of kisses. "I tink maybe ve should plan party for new leedle vamp. Vhat do you tink?"

((Helga: Yup. ^_^ Ehl is . . . well, L. Haha, I like that guy . . . though I don't know much about him. :XD
Auda: She's right. :P A vamp would be cool. In fact, I wouldn't mind if both of you brought one in, or came up with another person to join us. Haha, I love company, yes?))

Ehl clung to Auda's blue form, smiling. He was already looking forward to meeting the others, as well as spending more time with "Uncle" Auda. His first feeling of fear that he recieved from the giant wolf was gone, replaced by respect and a strange kind of love. How could you not like him? Auda presented himself to be friendly, and Ehl never really had many friends. This would be enough for him. Even if the rest of the clan wasn't there, Auda would have been enough.
With this bit of revelation flitting through his mind, the young vampire rested his head against Auda's thick form.

Keji smiled, nodding. "A celebration would be good," he said, moving to kiss Helga in earnest. "Though we don't have many decorations. And we can't very well have a cake." The elf chuckled, letting his hands drift down to hers. "But we might have something interesting in the storage supply."
Esmme had long been gathering odds and ends in a sort of bank near the back of the cavern. Beyond the kitchen was a smaller hole, which led to armor, weapons, and other strange objects from her travels. Human habits died hard.
Keji gently tugged Helga after him as he pointed the "bank" out, and grinned. "Think you can find anything worth decorating with?"

((Is there any type of character you really want added to this? Like a particular species (prior to the vampire thing) or gender?))
Helga stood, momentarily surprised by the storehouse of things before her. She picked up an old leather shield, running her hand over the worn brown material. "I knew you vould have an idea, Keji," she grinned over her shoulder at him. Rummaging through the armor, she found a small pile of more random everyday materials, in which she stooped. "Vhat do you tink?" she said rising with some tangled ribbons. They were of nearly every color she could think of, but red took up the majority of the silken mess. "Ve can string dem 'round de doorvays," she said, unused to referring to any entryway as anything other than a doorway, although she had not lived in an actual house with actual doors for a while now. Moving closer to Keji, she bumped her hip against his with a smirk and handed him one end of the tangle. "Help me, vill you?"

Keji smiled, and accepted the other end of the tangled blob. "What kind of man would refuse such a request?" the elf laughed, beginning to help straighten it out. "Especially if it's for the new clan member."
It wasn't long before the first task was finished, and the ribbons were all seperated - or at least most of them were. Grabbing a handful, the vampire grinned. "To the doorways."

((:lol: That was cute. :D And I have no specifications to race - as long as it's nothing demonic or angelic . . . have at it! Gender? Either, really. ^_^ I can balance things out if need be later on.))

((heehee. Coolios. I'm not into the demonic or angelic thing, either. It's a religious no-no for me, anyway. :} ))
It wasn't long before Helga was balanced on a stool attaching the last of the ribbon around the clan's entryways. "If I fall, vill you catch me, Keji?" she asked, pretending to lose her balance a little. "I kid," she said with a wide smile, climbing down to the cold stone floor. "He vill like it, no?" she said looking up to the ashen haired elf.

When Helga pretended to lose her balance, the vampire moved to catch her . . . and then saw that she was merely kidding. Keji smiled, shaking his head. "I think he'll love it," he said, wrapping an arm about her shoulders. "A good way to welcome a new clan member."
Glancing toward the cavern's entrance, he smiled as Esmme headed toward them. Her blue eyes glanced about the area, and she forced herself to keep a straight face. "You two did all this?" When Keji nodded, the clan leader looked around again. "I think the child will be flattered. You did good."


Ehl held tight to Auda's fur, trying to catch track of where they were as they ran. After a few minutes, he gathered the courage to look up a bit. He felt like he was flying.
Letting out a laugh, the young vampire grinned. This is amazing.

((*coughs* Well, it's been a couple months . . . LOL, I just thought I'd poke my head in here and remind myself to post later. :sweat: I'll have to post later! ^_-))

hehe ive missed u guys!!!! im gonna have to refamiliarize myself with everything!!
