"Then I will respect your wish..." He said, as he took her finger into his mouth and began to suckle on it a bit, before he finally licked it. The blood tasted a bit... tangier since he made the contract with her...
Amelia smiled as she looked up at him, "Thank you. That means a lot to me." Blushing as she looked at him, her hand still in his, Amelia inquired softly, "Are you still hungry?"
He chuckled a bit. "Don't worry; I have already 'ate'... But what about yourself...?"
"Yes, I am," Amelia admitted with a blush. "But I am sure you do not have anything here, so I can wait until we are able to find a way to get human food into the house without looking suspicious," added Amelia quickly with a small smile.
"Hm... it's been a while since I had a human guest... but we will see what we can find you..." He said, as he got up. "Would you rather go now or wait until you're finished making repairs...?"
In a few quick stitches, Amelia tied off the bodice and cut the thread as she spoke, "We can go now. I will mend the back of the dress tomorrow."
After gathering everything up, Amelia shut the trunk and placed everything on top of it. Standing up, Amelia smiled as she clasped her hands behind her back, "Ready." |
"Good... I'll let you know know that the kitchen is a ways away from where we are now... a little transportation might come in handy to get us there quicker... that is if you are willing..."
"T-Transportation?" Amelia asked hesitantly, "What kind of.. transportation? Is it dangerous? If I will not get hurt, then I will agree to this.. transportation. What must I do?"
"It's pretty much like how we got you to the ballroom.." He reminded her. "...So it is fairly safe. Now all you have to do is stand still while I get to work..." And with that, he disappeared into the shadows of the room. Meanwhile, the rest of the room darkened as the shadows closed in on her once more...
'Judes, I really do hate this part... Must it always be shadows?' Amelia asked in her thoughts as the shadows surrounded her. Closing her eyes, Amelia focused upon staying still, which was quite the task for her due to her fear of the dark.
'I'm afraid this is one of the few things I control... would you rather we have done this through fire instead...?' He asked in her mind, as a chuckle was heard. 'But come to think, I don't think I've tried that before...'
Meanwhile, the shadows continued to close in on her, until they engulfed her. She could feel the serpent-like carresses against her for a few moments, some even coming beneath the nightgown, until she was finally in what looked like more of a mess hall then a proper kitchen. |
Breathing as the shadows lifted, Amelia sighed as she looked said softly, "Fire.. would be worse.. I'd be afraid you would burn me since you'd never done it before," Amelia added with a small laugh as she looked around the room, looking for Judes, "Where shall we start looking?"
"The freezer..." He said as he walked past her from behind, as he went on ahead to a peculiarly large, steel door.
"Right," Amelia said as a blush filled her cheeks out of embarrassment. Following him to the freezer, Amelia opened it and looked inside. Seeing that it was a walk-in. Amelia wrapped her arms around herself and headed inside as she scanned the shelves, the majority of which were empty. "What are in these boxes?" Amelia asked through chattering teeth as she pointed to the taped up boxes upon the shelves.
"Oh.. some reserve blood, mostly..." He chuckled. "But there is some food made her humans..." He opened one of the boxes and looked inside. There was mostly some paper-wrapped meat, but there was also some bread. "Ah... looks like a winner..."
"A hamburger it is," Amelia said with a smile as she took out one of the packages or meat as well as some of the bread.
"Wait a minute... reserve blood? Then why did you need mine?" Amelia demanded as her temper raised and she put the food down, her hands upon her hips. If it hadn't been for her chattering teeth, she would have looked livid. "You did all of this completely out of selfishness?" Taking a deep breath, Amelia counted to 10 before picking up the food and looked up at Judes. "Instead of feeding upon my people, you could have fed off the reserve blood? Why did you kill my people then?" she inquired softly before turning and heading out of the freezer. Finding the stove, Amelia set the ingredients down upon the counter beside it before beginning to search through the cupboards for a frying pan. |
"I simply wanted something different... tell me, if you had been eating frozen fish for days until an apple came along, would you have had that...?" He asked her rhetorically.
Stepping out of the freezer himself, he searched for a bit before he found a skillet and handed it to her. "I believe you'll need this..." |
"Thank you," Amelia said softly as she took it and placed it upon the lit stove. Warming up the meat, Amelia sighed, "You are right.. I would have done the same thing.. Forgive me," Amelia apologized softly before looking around in the drawers for a spatula. "Can you please get me a baking sheet to bake the bread on?" Amelia asked Judes with a small smile.
He looked around for a bit, before handing her the baking sheet. "Here..."
"Thank you," Amelia said with a smile as she got a spatula, took the sheet, and sat the sheet upon the counter beside the bread. Now that the hamburger had defrosted in the pan, Amelia flattened it with the spatula before letting it cook for awhile.
Turning on the oven bit, Amelia took a knife and cut the bread into a couple of thick slices. Placing the semi-defrosted bread onto the baking sheets, Amelia placed them in the oven to toast before picking the spatula back up to flip the hamburger patty. "Judes? Will you get me a glass for water please?" Amelia asked as she flipped the patty once more. |
Judes chuckled a bit. "Sure..." He went over to get a glass of water, and brought it over to her.
"Thank you," Amelia said with a smile as she checked on the bread to see if it was semi-toasted. Seeing it needed about five more minutes, Amelia flipped the patty once more before setting the spatula down and leaning back against the counter.
Pulling her hair back into a ponytail at the base of her neck, Amelia looked over at Judes. "Judes? Will I become like you and sleep all day, but be up all night?" |
He sighed a bit as she asked about that. "I suppose since it's coming to that... You can stay up during the day time and sleep at night, but then you wouldn't be able to see me..."
Amelia sighed as she pondered a bit, "Please, do not take this the wrong way, but I wish to be up when you are. I do not wish to be up alone in a strange house where I could easily get lost or trapped. I'd feel safer if someone were up with me to find me if I needed it. Not to mention I would very much like someone to talk to so I am not alone all of the time," Amelia admitted with a blush. "Would you be against my staying up when you are and sleeping when you do?"
"Not at all..." He smiled, in a more kind way. "I wouldn't like to be alone, either..."
