Amelia smiled warmly as she looked at Judes, "Thank you." Flipping the hamburger, Amelia's mouth watered at the smell of it as her stomach rumbled. Opening the oven door, Amelia grinned as she looked around for a pot holder to take out the baking sheet. Finding one, Amelia shut off the oven and the stove before taking out the baking sheet and placing it upon the free burners.
Looking through the cupboards once more, Amelia searched for a plate. Finding one, Amelia brought it over to the counter beside the stove and began preparing her hamburger. When finished, Amelia took a bite before picking up her plate and water and heading over to a nearby table to sit down to eat. "Would you like me to stay up tonight? Or may I sleep and begin my new sleeping patter tomorrow?" Amelia asked between bites of her hamburger, her hunger becoming satiated with every bite. |
"Hm... Well, that depends on how long you've been awake... Would you like to sleep now...?" He asked her.

Finishing her burger, Amelia took a sip of her water before answering. "I have been up since dawn preparing for this day. A lot of good it did me.. I didn't stand a chance," Amelia said softly with a sigh before finishing her water. Picking up the dishes, Amelia took them to the sink to wash before washing the dishes used to cook the bread and hamburger.
"Would it be alright if I turned in soon? I will stay up if that is what you wish.. I am yours now, am I not?" Amelia called softly as she began washing the skillet. |
He nodded. "Yes it is... you've been up for a long time, have you not...? You need the rest..."

Amelia nodded as she finished the cooking sheet. Rinsing off the dishes, Amelia flashed a small smile over her shoulder as she spoke softly, "If you no longer need me, then I shall turn in after I finish these dishes. Tomorrow I shall begin work on cleaning this place up and putting it into proper order; if you do not mind?"
Finishing the rinsing, Amelia began drying the dishes and putting them away in their proper place. |
"You can go ahead and do that if you so wish.." He chuckled at that. "...I was starting to get to doing that after my brothers left me..." It was a half-lie, but it was a half-truth as well; he didn't find it hurtful to pick up after himself...

"Tomorrow it is," Amelia said with a laugh as she finished putting away the dishes and turned back to Judes and took her hair down, wrapping the ribbon around her neck like a necklace so she didn't lose the ribbon during the night. "Now, however, I shall get some sleep if you will show me... our room?" Amelia said softly with a blush.

"Certainly... it is near where the dressing room was... if you don't mind another 'quick trip' there...?" He asked with a coy wink.

Amelia nodded as she bit her lower lip, trying to hide her fear. "I.. I'm ready.." Amelia whispered as walked towards Judes and stood before him.

"Don't worry... You'll get used to it in time..." He tried to reassure her. He paused as if to think, before he took her and pressed her to him with his arms around her, as if to keep her from seeing the shadows.
Soon enough, the area darkened around them as shadows enveloped them, though there wasn't so much of the shadows brushing against her as before. Finally, they reappeared in a more grandoise bedroom, as he let her go. |
Amelia smiled as she placed a kiss upon his cheek, gratitude written across her face, "Thank you.. You truly do not understand how afraid of the dark I am," Amelia whispered as she stepped back and looked down at her feet, her hair falling over her shoulders, "May I have the fireplace lit so that I have a light within the room? I dare not keep the curtains open for fear of the sun in the morning."

He smiled at the kiss on his cheek. "As you wish.." And with a snap of his fingers, the fireplace within the room was lit with a warm fire.

Looking up at him with a warm smile, Amelia's sapphire eyes locked with Judes's as a small blush crept into her cheeks. "Thank you. Do you have preference to the side you sleep on?" Amelia inquired softly as she motioned towards the large bed diagonal from the fireplace, set between two sets of what looked like balcony doors covered in thick, heavy drapes to block out the sun during the daylight hours.

He looked over at the bed and only smirked. "You can pick whichever side you'd like; I'll take the opposite... I don't really have a preference..." He told her.

"The right.. I always end up on the right side when I sleep," Amelia said with a deeper blush as she gave a small curtsy. "Good night Judes," Amelia said quickly before turning and heading towards the enormous bed. Pulling back the thick blankets, Amelia slid beneath the soft sheets and pulled the blankets around her as she faced towards the fireplace, the glow from the flames dancing across her face as her head laid upon the pillow.
"I will try not to wake you when I awake tomorrow," Amelia promised softly as she looked over at Judes. |
"Good..." He then went over to Amelia's side, and kissed her forehead before he went over to his own side. "Sweet dreams, Amelia..." He told her, as she slipped under the covers and looked over at her before he closed his eyes.

"Sweet dreams," Amelia whispered before curling up in the bed and falling asleep, her dreams filled with nightmares of her family finding her still live and murdering her without question. As she dreamed such horrible dreams, Amelia tossed and turned in the bed, her arms and legs lashing out as if to try and get out of their deathly grasp and escape her terrible fate.

Judes felt some disturbance on his side of the bed, and noticed that they were coming from Amelia. "Amelia..?" He took a hand to her shoulder and tried to shake her gently. "Amelia...? Amelia..? Are you alright...?"

"No.. don't.. you don't... understand... please," Amelia mumbled as she continued to struggle. Hearing Judes call her name for the third time, Amelia awoke with a start. Her breathing fast and thick, Amelia began to cry as she turned away from Judes to stifle her sobs within the pillow. "I'm sorry," Amelia managed to whisper in a calm voice, trying to to betray her tears, "I am sorry for waking you. I'm fine.."

He sighed softly. "It's your family, isn't it...?" He asked her. She seemed so pitiful in this state... maybe he shouldn't have taken her blood...

"I'm sorry.. I just.. I had a nightmare.. They found out I was alive after believe I was dead from your hand years after I chose to stay with you.. They stole me away and you didn't stop them.. They murdered me and you moved on to another prey," Amelia explained in a whisper as she buried her face into the pillow.

He looked on a bit surprised by how she told about her nightmare, and sighed sadly. "...I will make sure that will never happen..." He told her, trying to comfort her. He even placed a hand on her head.

"You cannot guarantee that, Judes. My family are great Hunters. They will track you in vengeance. But when they find me, they will murder me, let you go free while they deal with me, and you will surely let me die and find someone else to become your companion.. I just know it.. I mean nothing to you, I have no reason to be alive except to give you blood and to keep you company until you tire of me.. Why would you risk your life for mine when my family finds me?" Amelia whispered as she hugged the pillow closer to her head, curling up beneath the sheets as she stifled her tears within the pillow.

He sighed in depression. Then, he took gentle hold of her shoulders and turned her towards him. "I have waited a long time and came so far to make you mine. I will not lose you so easily. That I can promise you..."

"Judes, I appreciate your kindness, but I know it is not true.. You did not even know who I was until I arrived to kill you tonight. Why would you wish to save someone who intended on killing you?" Amelia asked softly as she looked up into Judes's eyes.
Sighing, Amelia continued, "I am sorry for crying so much and keeping you up when you wish to sleep.. I will make it up to you somehow, I promise," Amelia added in a whisper as she wiped the tears from her cheeks, doing her best to stop the flow of tears from her eyes. |
