Ugh
"Shan will not be comfortable, but she can handle it. She will be grumpy and apologizes in advance for her demeanor there, but she can go there." She was looking more uncomfortable by the moment. "One of Shan's cousins is... servant to a Djinn at an oasis in a desert, and that makes Shan very wary of such places..."
She shifted uncomfortably but did not back down from going with him if that is where he wanted to go. |
Nyra bobbed his head and waved away the mention of the Dijinn, "Dijinn are no issue to me... I am on par with them as far as power goes...but I am far kinder" He said with a smile, "I would suggest going south...But my kind has a peace treaty with the Naga Kind there, and I would not wish to violate that without reason...so really west is my only option at the moment. "
The Green haired man shook his head a bit and started to pull out his braid a little, He started to shake out his hair frowning as little green feathers drifted to the ground, "We'll be traveling via human means for a few days, Since I'm molting...and I'd rather not risk flying right now.." |
A Plan
"Well, if there is a stream or anything heading part of the way, Shan has a small boat that she can swim under to propel you as far as that goes... If not, Shan can walk." She shrugged, and her whole form seemed to ripple slightly.
"Shan has no problem with such things, but she has had little dealings with solids... She might seem out of place. But Shan supposes that is part of the fun!" She clapped and smiled. In many ways Shaninaa was a child. Certainly, with exception of her own self-preservation, her naivete' was plentiful. She had the chlidlike curiosity, and the sense of wonder at the world that a child would have, even though she was several hundred years old (which is relatively young for a naiad). This trip might give her wisdom beyond her experience. But would it be good wisdom? |
Nyra smiled and shook his head a bit "There's no river that goes where we are going" He said softly, "at least not above ground...So walking it will have to be until we have crossed the desert."
He ran his hands through his hair one more time, and shook his fingers a bit when he was done, he started to braid the long green strands once more "Hmm...You can create your own clothes...but I think I'll have to take a small pit stop in a town not to far from here and pick up some appropriate attire....Oh are you ready to go?" He asked. |
On the road
"Shan is ready, yes she is!" She clapped and almost literally leaped up and down with excitement. "Shan does think She will take Shan's thick blanket with her, however. It will keep the water in for longer while she walks. She wishes that she had the ability to not touch that nasty dry ground, but she will manage." She literally disappeared in a puff of water vapor for a moment, then reappeared across the clearing, tearing up what at first appeared to be a section of thick grass from the ground, but when she pulled it up there was lush grass underneath it. She draped this cloak of green, which smoothed out as she walked back towards the birdman, around her, so that by the time she had reached him it looked like a fine green cloak with gold filigree (albeit a thick cloak, one that one would wear during the harshest winter). She pulled up a hood and made a decisive nod. "Ready to go through those nasty dry places to find adventure!" She declared.
