When two people love each other, it seems like nothing can stop what happens between them. But when those two people have angry, jealous bandmates, gigs to keep up with, all while keeping their relationship a secret, will things stay together or will it all crash down around them?
~<3~
Izzy DeLune sighed as she tapped at her drums, her chin propped up in one hand. Music played in the background, her favorite band played on loop as she waited for someone, anyone to arrive.
The garage was quiet, sunlight streeming in through the one window and casting four squares of bright light on the concrete, the corner of one sqaure touching the guitar stand that sat next to the amps. Her worn converse tapped the concrete idly, a soft sound on par with the volume of the music. Her dark jeans, of course too long for her, were rolled up, the cuffs doodled on with sharpie. The button up shirt she had stolen from a certain boy lay snug on her shoulders, covering her like a warm blanket, the sleeves rolled up to the elbows. She paused her tapping of the drum just long enough to push a locke of thick, long dark brown hair back over her shoulder, and then she went back to tap, tap, tapping to the beat.
She sighed, her mind chewing over problems that had occured in the past few days- homework, home life, her current relationship status and the people who didn't know about the change.
Which would have been narrowed down to everyone.
She sighed and shook her head, closing her eyes and humming along to the musc.

The brown-haired youth drove rather fast, a little eager for a few things; practice, new song he wrote, and a certain someone who kept an amazing beat. As he dragged a hand through the soft, wavy locks, he glanced over to his pal, the lead guitarist, and offered a small smile. Chauncer Drury, the bass player, finally pulled up, and headed out the car, taking time to grab his friend's guitar; he left his bass, and shirt, and a few other things at Izzy's house when they were "practicing new settings."
No one really knew about Chauncer's new girl, and usually just rolled his dark hazel eyes at his father's sugggestions - getting with some colleague's daughter he knew. Not what he wanted.
As he glanced through the window, rapping softly at it, he smiled and waved to Izzy, his heart pounding a bit fast. "What's your problem?" the guitarist, Louis - or 'Jughead' as he was mostly called, thanks to his wearing of the same green, crown hat-thing the comic character wore. "Is there like, a million bucks or somethin'?" Inwardly, Jughead never really liked Chauncer; thought he was stuck-up, too flashy, and used his dad's money to make him look good. But, he was wealthy, and never seemed to mind spending it.
"Shut-up, and just come on.." Chauncer smirked and laughed a bit, greeting Izzy with an idle nod for now, and even a small pat on the shoulder.

Izzy looked up as someone tapped on the window, and her face lit up into a smile. Chauncer waved to her, and she waved back, a delicate lifting of one hand into the air. She could hear Jughead just outside the window, getting on Chauncer about something. She knew he didn't like Chauncer, and eventually she would have liked to take her drumsticks to his face, but they needed him.
Therefore, she had to behave herself.
Seconds later the two boys walked in, Chauncer casually giving her a nod and patting her shoulder. She could tell his hand was warm, even though it was only on her shoulderfor a moment. It made her think of the time they had spent together, a dreamy look crossing her face; she scowled at herself and shook her head as Marie finally came in, looking pretty in her usual babydoll tee, jeans and a gaggle of necklaces.
Izzy frowned severely as Marie said hi to Jughead then gave Chauncer a cheeky smile and said hi in a way that made Izzy want to tear all that pretty blonde hair out. Not that Izzy didn't like Marie; in truth, the girls had been friends since fourth grade. It was sort of like a love-hate relationship; Both girls loving each other, then one hating the other when they liked the same boy.
Izzy sighed and shook her head again, tapping on her drums as Marie and Jughead launched into a discussion about sets and wha songs needed to be practiced. She looked up at Chauncer and snuck him a smile, green eyes sparkling mischievously.

Chauncer was completely oblivious to Marie's 'inside' feelings, and gave a cheerful hello back as he started to tune. Jughead rolled his eyes slightly, and smirked for a moment while looking back, wandering over by Izzy as the other two started to talk; he never really cared about what to practice, because he knew it all. That was one thing that the group could always rely on - Jughead's skills, and how comfortable he was playing them.
Chauncer nervously slipped out a few pieces of folded paper from his case, one with lyrics, and the other with chords and beats. "Umm, well, if we want to, I wrote a little, something.." Now usually, he left the writing to Marie and Jughead, and just composed the chords and such shortly after. But, he was a softie, and wanted to show his feelings, without having to make them known. Yet.
"WE could try it out, if you guys want..."
"Is it long?" Jughead turned around from Izzy, and leaned back against the chair he sat in, finding it in her garage. "Because, we do have a gig coming up; we should do our regular set first. Just for practice.."

Izzy looked up and nodded in acknowledgement to Jughead, who began talking to her. She wasn't really paying attention; instead, she went with the nod-and-hmm method, as she ruffled through her backpack to get her drumsticks.
She lifted her head as Chauncer spoke, tilting it to the side as she listened. He wrote something? She wasn't aware of this. She fixed her eyes on him, as curious as the others were. Well, at least as curious as Marie was.
"We have my garage for the whole day, Jughead," Izzy said in her soft, pleasantly low voice, rolling her eyes at the boy. "We can try this new song and still have a bunch of time left over for our regular set." She turned her eyes to Chauncer, then to Marie. "Well, I'm up for it. What about you, Marie?"
"We could," she said slowly, tapping her full lower lip with her finger. "I mean, what have we got to loose? I'm sure it's great." She looked up at Chauncer, then peered down at the papers in his hand. Izzy could see her mouthing the words now; Marie was annoying as hell sometimes, but the girl could pick up songs fast and perform them well.
"I'm pretty sure that's three to one," Izzy said, kicking the back of Jughead's chair, almost kicking him out of it. "Get you're lazy rear up and get that guitar of yours. Heaven knows it's the only thing you're good for," she added, giving her signature lopsided grin as Jughead shot her a glare. She didn't have to be completely nice, after all.

As Jughead adjusted his hat, moreorless ignoring most of what the others were deciding upon, he gave a small sigh, nodding his head and shrugging some. "Well, then, let's see what the chords are," he started, huffing as his chair was kicked, and stumbling out of it; his blue eyes darted back to Izzy, but he couldn't stay mad that long at her.
"Oh, umm.. Okay.." As Chauncer started to hand him the paper, he drew his hand back, looking towards the girl and laughing some. "Y'know," he started, "That shirt, looks very familiar..." His hand went to lightly rub the collar, and light rubbing her back smiled some, grabbing his bass finally; he was sure that everyone was just as ready to rehearse as he was.
It took only about one or two hours, to work out the rhythm, how the song flowed, and the chord changes. It was as if Jughead already knew it, and he even added a few little improvisations already; that kid was amazing. Chauncer stood for a moment, a little lost with his own music, and looking to Marie, asked out, "Could you sing that note, again?" He walked over to her, and it may have seemed close, but totally unintentional.

The feel of his hand on her back was comforting, even though he only lingered for a moment or two. Sha flashed him a grin, her eyes daring. "I bet it is, Ace," she said casually, challenging him to say more. She took her sheet of paper, still smiling as she looked down at it. She stared down the paper and took the notes to heart, beating the rythm out and drowning out the world for a few minutes.
She was drinking out of her gatorade bottle when she caught movement in the corner of her eye; Chauncer had moved over to where Marie was, and they were standing too close for Izzy's comfort. She frowned severly, then turned her head politely and sipped some more of her drink. She shouldn't have had to worry herself about Marie, she knew she didn't have to worry about any girl, but Marie was the only one who could wind her up so tight like that. Probably because the story thus far had been Marie had gotten every boy she wanted while Izzy watched from the sidelines.
Marie was enjoying herself. She hummed the note, then sang it, looking at Chauncer the whole time. She had loved the song from the first note, and it really made her feel like she and Chauncer were connecting as they looked at the notes together, discussing and adjusting.
Izzy looked up as a shadow fell across her, one eyebrow already arched. "What's up," she asked coolly, as Jughead came over, his guitar craddled like a baby in his arms. He probably cared more for that guitar then he did for himself.
She followed an unhappy gaze to where Chauncer and Marie were. She couldn't have agreed more with the boy, then picked up a drumstick and began to toss it into the air. On the third toss, it went spiraling out of her reach, and as she stretched to grab it she fell out of her chair and onto the floor, tipping over one of her cymbals.
"Nice going, slick," Marie said, giggling. Izzy averted her gaze, her face blazing. She swallowed hard and looked up, forcing a smile.
"Ah, guesss I should be more careful," she said, her voice a little breathy. Marie was still giggling, looking thoroughly amused with her friend's blunder and embarassment.

Chauncer smiled and nodded, lightly humming the note after Marie, taking a few seconds to write down his changes. They weren't major, just little shifts here and there for his talented bass hands. He managed to glance back as Jughead neared Izzy, but just grinned and bared it - inwardly, he was a little wary of how close they were becoming as well. But, maybe it was just Jughead being, Jughead.
The youth gently squeezed his guitar as he stood next to Izzy, noticing her slight mood change. When it came to people he 'cared' about, or any girl he was infatuated with, he could pick up on the little things like a fortune teller - another one of his amazing attributes. "You don't look so good," he murmured lightly, adding with a small chuckle, "Maybe rehearsing this was a mistake..." He really hated anytime Chauncer got the attention, and although he was rather attractive himself, with blonde hair and blue eyes, envied Chauncer for his looks, and his lifestyle.
Although, everyone stood still, startled by the 'show' that Izzy put on. As silence fell once more, the group came in with some laughter, Chauncer even chuckling himself after Marie's comment.
"Hey, hey... She's just, adding on some special effects, give her a break..!" Jughead let out, and the brunette went from by Marie, to help Izzy set her things up once more. A light smile graced his lips, and he let out, "Yeah, you might want to consider being careful...." After that little ordeal, they started up once more, ironing out a few more wrinkles.
Jughead sighed after the last run-through, rotating his wrists, and taking a few minutes to retune - even if he didn't need to. "I vote we take a small break. Who's with me..?"
"I am." Chauncer stuck a hand up, still writing down a few more things.

"Yeah, our fans would go crazy if I did that on stage," she said sarcastically, pushing herself off the ground and rising to her feet. Izzy kept her eyes down, still embarassed as she set her things back up, and felt a little stung that Chauncer had laughed at her. Then she felt stupid. She was acting like a third-grader who's first crush had just told her there was a booger in her nose or something. "Thanks," she said, soft enough for only Chauncer to hear, then sat at her seat and pounded her frustration into her drums.
She sighed and leaned her chair back when they finished, closing her eyes. "Oh man, count me in too," she said, opening one eye to peer at Chauncer. She stood and stretched, yawning like a cat, then lowered her arms slowly and looked up at the clock. "Hey, I'm gonna grab some sodas. Chauncer, you wanna help?"
Marie looked up as Izzy asked Chauncer for help, and couldn't help but feel a little ticked off. For the past week or so, it was like Izzy had been walking all over Marie's toes when it came to Chauncer. If Marie didn't know any better, she would have thought that Izzy liked Chauncer.
No chance. We both know that I'm prettier then her, she thought. She shrugged and munched on a pretzel, unsalted.
Izzy crossed the room without waiting for a response, her arm brushing gently against Chauncer's as she moved past him to get to the door. She pushed it open, then stood in the doorway, looking back at him questionigly. She could see Marie in the background, and was surprised by her satisfaction at the sour look on the other girl's face.

"Oh, yeah! No problem..." He stood up from his spot on the floor, where him and Jughead were playing a quick game of thumb-wrestling; that was one of the many things they liked, four-square being another love. As he started to walk off, he turned around for a moment, looking back at the ever-smug Jughead.
The other youth sat back in the fold-out lawnchair, resting his chin in his hand as he watched the two walk off, inwardly steaming at the fact that she couldn't ask him to help her. And, Chauncer - lazy Chauncer - was more than willing to help her, with anything; Jughead would've helped with her cymbals, but the other stepped in before he had a chance! What a tool... he thought to himself, shifting in his seat and letting his blue eyes travel to Marie.
"What's your problem?" he asked out, probably a touch less caring than intended. But, he wasn't feeling so great either, so maybe she'd be more relating.
Meanwhile, Chauncer followed after Izzy, and once the door shut behind them, finally felt a relief spill over him. He didn't have to hide, didn't have to watch what he said; he could just be himself, with Izzy. Lightly gripping her hand, he smiled and leaned against her, asking out, "Think Jughead's jealous?" If people hadn't known his orientation, they'd probably think that the brunette was madly in love with Jughead, just because most of his decisions were based on what his blonde counterpart would do, or how he would feel about them. He held his arms out, grabbing up the sodas and other things for the rest of the band.

Marie looked at Jughead with an almost disgusted look on her face. "What are you talking about? I'm absolutely fine," she said primly, then got up and picked up some papers. "What in god's name are we playing at our next gig," she wondered aloud, trying not to sound irritated. Jughead didn't deserve her wrath; in fact, she was pretty sure that Izzy didn't either, that she was just overreacting. But still, why did she always have to ask Chauncer for help? Why couldn't she ask Jughead and give Marie a few seconds alone with Chauncer...?
Izzy squeezed his fingers gently, a slight change of pressure, as she leaned into him. "What, of me? Oh, most definetely," Izzy said teasingly. While she knew for a fact that Chauncer wasn't gay, she would have sworn on the bible that Jughead was gay for Chauncer. "Here, let me take some of those," she said, plucking some sodas and other things out of his arms and taking half the burden. She had to lean in close to grab the stuff, and she paused for a second to stand on her tiptoes and place a light, fairy kiss on his cheek before backing up a little. "I think Marie's going to rip out all my hair while I'm asleep," Izzy said, half joking and half serious. "She was looking at you like she was a lioness and you were the poor, innocent baby zebra."

"What we always do, the first like, five or so songs on that paper.." He snapped back a bit, cocking a brow at her, obviously picking up on her mood. The boy absently strummed his guitar - some random classical piece he learned back then - also stopping to pop a pretzel in his mouth. He was thinking some about Izzy, and just daydreaming. He did that often.
Chauncer couldn't help the warm blush that rose to his cheeks, smirking and shifting the things in his arms some. He was still so nervous, and of course he dated and all that; but Izzy was his first official girlfriend. "Oh, no," he smiled, laughing as he added, "Sometimes, I feel a bromance for him, but I know you'd maul me and tear my eyes out..." He gave a small laugh, and tilted his head lightly, giving a surpised expression to Izzy as they started back.
"What? Well, I guess that means that she wanted to attack me and eat me up in one gulp..." He shrugged as much as he could lightly sighing and giving a reassuring smile; seemed like she needed it anyway. "I'm sure she'll spare you, and just rip out some of your hair, in the back so you can hide it.." he joked, giving a small chuckle. "But, in all seriousness, she's not into me... Don't worry.. okay?"
They made their way back into the room, and setting everything down, Chauncer found himself sitting between the two girls, and facing Jughead in a somewhat square-circle thing. "Challenge you to a game of four-square after practice!"
"On it!" Jughead laughed and gave the other a high-five, kind of pumped just because it would be a faux-"show of masculinity" just for his beloved Izzy. The two laughed some, and popping another chip in his mouth, Chauncer felt the cell buzz in his pocket, and only stepped away to answer the call; it was his father, asking about some job offer he had within the company for the youth, just so he could 'learn the ropes,' so to speak.

Marie's eyes narrowed, then she sat down and picked up a pretzel, examining it. "I think we should add something new to the list," she said. "We always play the same thing, every gig, and I'm getting tired of it." She looked at him, her eyes challenging. They had been the ones to officially start the band, so all decisions went through them. When they were on opposite sides- well, Marie knew Izzy liked to disappear around that time.
"You bet I would," she said sweetly, giving him a smile. "But at least I'd let you live so you could have you're little love-fest with him." She rolled her eyes at him, giggling. "I can't say I blame her, you are a cutie," she said, playfully hip-checking him. Then she sighed, her smile dropping. "Trust me, she does," she said. "You do remember I'm her best friend, right? She tells me everything. And dude, she would rip out all of my hair, and maybe gouge my eyes out or something."
Izzy set the stuff on the table, then ungracefully collapsed on the couch next to Chauncer, leaning into the corner. She rolled her eyes at their four-square challenge, a small smile on her lips. "Boys are so predictable," she muttered under her breathe.
She watched Chauncer get up and move a little ways from the group, obviously on the phone with his father, which left her sitting with Marie and Jughead. "Hey, wanna arm wrestle," she asked, giving Marie a side-long glance and grinning wickidly. Marie raised one eyebrow at Izzy like she was crazy.
"Uh, no thanks Iz, you've got man arms." Marie almost felt bad about what she had said, as Izzy blinked and sat back a little, obviously trying not to appear stung. Marie knew Izzy was self-concious, even though she didn't show it most of the time.
Izzy plastered her grin on again, but couldn't cover the look in her eyes. "Alright, fine, whimp," she said lightly, shrugging the comment off. "What about you, Jughead, you wanna see if those little guitar-boy arms are stronger then they look," she asked teasingly. She knew Jughead wasn't a whimp- far from it- but she was confident that there was a 50-50 chance she could beat him.

Chauncer could hear what was going on in the background, but stayed focus on what his father was saying. “Yessir… I will come straight home from practice. Early? Probably not… Okay..” He ended the conversation shortly, and sighed some; it seemed that this new ‘job’ for him would be cutting majorly into his band practicing and performing time. Maybe if he did okay for a few months, his father would make it more flexible.
The boy joined Izzy back on the couch, and laughing lightly glanced to her arms. “I don’t think they’re manly.. I think their strong. And, rhythmically correct…!” He shook his finger ‘matter-of-factly,” getting a short eye-roll from Jughead. Oooh, “rhythmically correct!” Gah, what a brown-noser.. Of course, though, the blonde would probably be the same way, if he could even get a chance at talking to Izzy. And, that’s when it happened…
“O-oh what? Ah, you have yourself a challenge there, friend…” He figured it would be easy enough; sure, she was a drummer – a good one at that – but he was more than sure he was stronger just because she was a girl. Chauncer gave a small smile, and let out, “No cheating either, guys…” before sitting back, crossing his arms in front of him.
“So, who are you putting your money on, Marie?” he asked out, turning slightly and laughing. Jughead had scooted over a small table-like thing, slamming his arm down and holding his hand open, in a way more warrior-like pose than needed. He only shifted to rolled up his sleeve some, and grinning, stared straight into the girl’s eyes. “C’mon.. Let’s see what you’re made of, kid.”

Izzy smiled at Chauncer appreciatively as he sat down, then turned to Jughead with a cocky grin on her face, her eyes sparking with the challenge. She took a moment to slide her arms out of the overshirt she was wearing- Chauncer's, to be correct- and folded it neatly, setting it on the couch before kneeling on the ground opposite Jughead. She fixed the black tanktop she was wearing, fiddling with it before looking up.
"You're so going down," she said sweetly. She rested her elbow firmly on the table, then gripped Jughead's hand firmly. She didn't do anything macho like squeezing his hand to intimidate him or anything- she would surprise him. "You're in for it, little boy."
"I don't know," Marie said, rolling her eyes at the two on the floor. She turned towards Chauncer, smiling a little. "Izzy can be scary sometimes." Izzy gave a short, small laugh, then went back to focusing her energy on the task at hand. She stared Jughead down with a dead-serious stare. "Oh man, she's got that look on her face."

He quickly took back the shirt once she honed in on Jughead, tucking it behind him and smiling shortly to the other girl. "Well, I was thinking about going with Jughead, just for some support.. But, Izzy looks like she would rip his arm off.."
"Hey~!" The blonde whined out, only looking up from their match in progress for a moment, pouting shortly as the other two spoke. "I am very strong! I will defeat you, Izzy!" He laughed out some, and met her intense, yet stunning stare; he was almost entranced by it, and figured that he should ignore his love for her, and focus more on the inner hatred of Chauncer. The nice car, the fancy house, the decked-out room... It was too much for a teen, really.
"Oh, I'm in for it? Little miss, just don't cry too much when I beat you.." And with that, he started to push down against her arm, smirking slightly. At the moment their arms were just jostling back and forth, and for a moment, he let her have the advantage. Then, he shoved back, now dominating the match.
The brunette watched, curling his legs up comfortably under him; he liked sitting that way more. "She does have that, 'I'm-going-to-eat-you-alive' look on.." He focused on their hand, and was just hoping that a catastrophic event wouldn't take place, and then one - or both - of them would hurt an arm or wrist; they were the most needed things in their band, quite literally.

Marie sat back, sighing at her friends' childishness. "Come on Izzy, show him who's boss," she cheered weakly, her expression bland.
Izzy frowned deeply as he pushed her hand back, then pushed harder, shoving his hand down. "Put you're money where you're mouth is," she grumbled, shoving his hand farther. She almost had him, just a little more and she would beat him...
Izzy could feel the strain on her wrist, and knew that one of them needed to win this or they would get hurt. She pushed harder, putting all her weight into it.
"Don't hurt yourself," Marie said, leaning forward. She had to admit, she was worried. If Izzy or Jughead got hurt, they would have to postpone practice, and there would go her chances of seeing Chauncer... "Izzy, you need to stop!"
Izzy ignored her friend; she wasn't going to give up, no way, no how.

Wow, she is strong! Jughead thought, and for a split second, panic struck him. However, upon hearing the background chatting from Chauncer and Marie cheering on Izzy, he grew a bit angry, not so happy with how nice and sweet the other boy was being; if it were ANYONE else, Chauncer would've totally cheered him on. So, he got a bit upset, and grimacing lightly pushed harder into the girl's hand.
They managed to get back to square one, with both their hands teetering back and forth, the strain showing on their faces. Chauncer was finally starting to get worried, and glancing back to Marie let out, "Really, you two.. can't we just call a truce? We need you..." His eyes wandered to the other girl's, and although it was absolutely adorable seeing her so intent on winning, he honestly didn't want her to get injured.
"Shut up, Chaunce!" the blonde shouted out, starting to gain the upper hand once more. But, he ended up 'letting' her win, and was starting to slowly weaken out, rolling his eyes as they stopped. But, when rotating his wrist some, it did hurt a bit, and felt weird overall. "Let's get back to work.." He grabbed his guitar, strummed some, biting his lip. It wasn't like his wrist was in immense pain, but definitely felt weird.
The rest of the practice went alright, and after a few hours, they decided to stop. Jughead said a few things about their gig tomorrow - locaiton, time, set, etc. - and then started to pack up. As Chauncer finished putting away his bass, he smiled and walked by Izzy for a moment, playfully 'hip-checking' her back. "So, did you still want me to come over later..?" he whispered to her, glancing around for a moment.

Izzy couldn't help the satisfied grin she threw at Jughead as she stood, rotating her wrists. She'd have to ice it well later. It hurt a little to really pound on the drums, but she figured she'd be fine for the next day.
She stumbled a bit as Chauncer caught her off guard, looking up at him and smiling. "Duh," she whispered back. Then she looked over and found Marie staring at them, a strange look on her face. "You can totally leave you're bass here," she said loudly, glancing at Marie one more time before looking up at Chauncer giving him a look that said Just go with it..
Marie eyed the two suspiciously, then turned as she heard Izzy saying something about the bass. Whatever. She'd have to talk to her friend later; there were some lines that needed to be drawn. She turned around and ran right into Jughead, a startled "oof" escaping her lips. "Watch it," she snapped, then brushed her hair out of her eyes. Usually Marie got along with everyone well enough, but for some reason she was in a bad mood. She shrugged and went to go wrap up her microphone chord.

Chauncer laughed and tilted his head some, looking back at Marie with her, before turning to face Izzy once again. Why she said that louder he didn't know then, but easily accepted her look, and winked, adding just as loud, "Oh, alright then... I could also bring by some, some videos?" A light shrug escaped him, and pulling her close (which probably looked like he was pecking her on the cheek), he whispered in her ear, "I think I see what you were talking about, earlier.."
While Jughead was putting away his things, he could hear what was going on, but tried his best to ignore it for the most part. Chauncer was really grinding his gears, and maybe he would just come out with it and say that he wanted to date Izzy, just so his 'loyal' friend wouldn't try anything funny anymore. As he rose up to grab the brunette, he bumped into Marie, grimacing and snapping back, "Same to you, Princess! Are you ready, Chauncer?"
"Ah, y-yeah.. Bye." he murmured, and nodding slightly to Marie headed out the garage; he kept his distance from Jughead, because well... The blonde was almost as red as a tomato. "She thinks she's entitled to all the free space in this universe!" the male let out, huffing and slipping in the car with the other. "Are you really going over, later?" Chauncer just shrugged at the question, and let out, "Only for my bass."
"Good."
-----
Later on, Chauncer knocked on her door, and stood back, pulling his flannel shirt over his arms more. He talked with Jughead, and was more than surprised; he would definitely have to find out about them sooner than later. Once she answered the door, his eyes widened, and the youth let out, "I. Have. News."

Izzy grinned at him, mouthing the words "told you so," at him. Izzy may not have been the brightest bulb in the pack, but she did know a thing or two.
"I'll see ya guys," she said, giving the boys a hug (Hugging Jughead just to be fair) then turning to say bye to Marie. The girl had already stormed off, leaving Izzy confused and worried.
Marie glared at his back, then turned and left, totally fed up with this whole thing. She was going to have a serious talk to Izzy- the younger girl would have to be told what was what.
~~~~~~~~~~
Izzy opened the door, totally unexpecting the words that tumbled from his mouth. "Wait, wait, come in," she said, grabbing his hand and pulling him into her house. It was pretty much quiet, except for the tv on in the living room- her mom was at the hospital tonight, and her younger brother Tommy was spending the night at a friends house.
She led him into the living room and pushed him onto the couch, falling ungracefully into the spot next to him. "Alright, now that we're safe from Marie's spy cameras, tell me what this news is," she said, curious as heck.
Chauncer easily followed her lead, chewing his lip moreorless at this point. He obviously didn't really know what to do, even though he was basically going to have to let Jughead know somehow.
As the girl fell down next to him, he laughed some, combing a hand through his hair and looking down for a moment, toying with his keys. For some reason, Chauncer couldn't stay still at the moment, and being around Izzy was probably the cause of that. "Well, Jughead's hopefully not hiding out anywhere either, because he told me on the way home that I need to back off, since he wanted to date you, and all this other stuff.. He was really flustered." The brunette looked down to the ground for a moment, and finally added, more quietly than everything else, "Maybe we should just, come out with it.. What's the worst..?"
