Tanrepo's wolves
A lone red wolf, as large and swift as a deer, padded silently into a clearing in the middle of a dark, mountainous forest. Her ears pricked and she listened intently. After ensuring her safety, she pushed aside a boulder with her muzzle and revealed the entrance to a cave. The yips and squeals of pups met her, and she wormed her way inside. She made her way slowly through the winding cave and then stumbled into the chamber containing her little pup, Tsuki. She nuzzled her and regurgitated a little bit of deer meat for her. She ate quickly. when she was done, she dropped like a miniature rock to the floor and slept. The she-wolf, Antiquum, wondered about pups. She asked herself why pups were so carefree. They know nothing of the world except what is here, in the cave. She smiled to herself. How cute. She cleaned Tsuki, lay down, and waited for her older son to arrive home. He was late.

It was easier for me to hide than to find the prey I leave in the mountain rocks. The goats up here could feed a small or even a mid-medium pack. Sign.. what to do what to do.
Jahero was looking for half a goat in the rocks. . His big paws and strong legs allowed him to move easy over the rock. "Where did I put it" he questioned. Then as if out of the blue the sound of what he thought was many or one large rock moving sounded from a far. "What was that?" Kahla was walking through a small village at the base of the mountain. How foolish these humans were. Not one of them sensed that she was a predator. Growing bored fast she decided to take a run up the mountain.
She turned, red hair catching in the wind. As she looked up she noticed a few rocks skid down the side of the mountain side. "Should prove to fun then." With new purpose Kahla took off for the mountain. Antiquum flinched as she realized that the sound of the falling rocks was loud, and could attract other wolves. She hurried to cover the entrance to her den, but it was too late, and she saw a red-headed girl running up the side of the mountain. The wolf wasn't fooled. She knew who she was.

Kahla continued to run towards the mountain and as soon as she was out of the view of the town and into the cover of the woods she shifted into a wolf. She loved that feeling, it left a tingling sensation all over her body.
What Kahla didn't realize was that she was heading straight for another wolf's den. Having the wind blowing at her back didn't help her in detecting this either. |
There's another wolf? I can smell her coming up the mountain. Is she coming to look at the noise. Walking down the mountain I moved into view of what I thought to be the cause of the noise. A nother female wolf was at the front of a small rock made cave. So that's what it was

Instincts told Kahla there was something or someone onn the mountain above her. She stopped moving at sniffed the air. The wind was still at her back so it was hard to tell but she thought she could smell two wolves. One was like her and the other, well, she had no clue. It was a "normal" wolf but it wasn't like her. Kahla continued to the base of the mountain with caution, she didn't want to get on their bad side.

"Here wolfy wolfy wolfy" i spoke softly trying to keep my self into focus. The smell of the two female wolves spiked my ears. I wounder what's going to happen in the next five minutes. I guess only time will tell, I should try and get a bit closer.

Antiquum dug at the side of the den and placed her baby into the hole. She slid a rock in front of her to hide her and exited the den to face the others. She smiled pleasantly at them.
"Hello. And what brings you here on this fine day?" Her shackles fluffed up slightly as she gently warned them to stay away. Looking at them, she gathered that they were from the same pack. She wondered if they were together. "I suggest that you get out of my territory and go into your own. My son, who is strong, should be home soon." She sat down to assure them that she meant no harm. Her ears pricked and she turned her head to face the direction her son would be coming from. |
Jahero smiled when the female came ok, she seemed ok. Was she hiding something. not that it mattered as long as it wasn't his goat. " A goat brings me hear on this fine day" Jahero simply stated as he sat down. His white fur blinded into the snow of the mountains.

Antiquum smiled, and nodded.
" Very well then." She lay down and stretched, seeing that the male meant no harm. Suddenly, another wolf crashed out of the brush and toppled into her. "Hi, mom," he said in a small voice. Arianna watched from the forest below the mountain as the three wolves met, should she go up there and find out for herself what was going on? No she would wait down here for now and see how this played out no need to add another wolf especially when she knew the female from the Raeds had pups. She sighed and wondered where the rest of her pack was, 'probably off hunting', she thought. Oh well this was much more interesting than chasing after some deer. |
There was no need to do anything at the moment, her son had come back but again nothing big, to stay is wait i always say.

Antiquum whispered something to Kardon and he nodded. He sat down beside her. He began to look around at the other wolves.
"So, uh...been here long?" he asked. "Hows the weather in your territory?" |
Arianna sighed now they were just talking and she couldn't even here what they were saying from this distance! She checked around her making sure no one from her pack was nearby to stop her before, dashing across the border and sneaking quietly towards the group on the mountain.

As a small wind blew through jahero's fur he some what smiled inside. "It's snowy and has that mountain weather to it"

The new wolf called Aridon had no manners for elders and apparently no tact for sniffing out "invading" wolves. Kahla smelt another wolf at the base of the mountain from her perch next to a think oak tree.
She recognized the male in front of her as a member of her kind. Pictures of what he might look like as a human started to flash through her mind. She snorted in frustration, concentration was difficult when you were hungry. |
I wonder if the other female will be coming out anytime soon. Jahero looked towards the Oaks and signed. She smelled that human perfumes, he rather be tracking her than a goat any day. again he singed

Arianna sighed she could tell she had been found out, I'm gonna be in so much trouble later! Aw well, with that she walked towards the female by the Oak.

Kahla knew the male in front of her was alpha and she felt compelled to answer his call. She walked out of the woods, the colors of her coat glistening in the light, and stood next to the male. "You called?"

Arianna walked up to the four wolves not bothering to try and hide anymore. "So why's everyone up here?" Mentally she winced that was the best question she could come up with?
A slight breeze brought the scent of pups to her... PUPS?!... that explains what she was going to guess the female from the Raeds pack was doing here, were the others just curious or what? She couldn't tell if any of the others had caught the scent but she guessed she would find out soon enough. ( okay not my best but no matter, i have a question how are we sorting out the territories for each pack if there are any? Antiquum has her den up here but you two from the i forget the pack but your're hunting and stuff up there so how does this work?) |
