The half breed hadn't noticed that he was actually a bit hungery until Selk had mentioned the fact that he should eat. Vik let her down and watched in silence as Balthazar approached and seemed to try to provoke Selk, and he was a bit irratated at the fact that he had been there watching but there was nothing he could do. When he smiled at the half vampire, Vik just looked at him no emotion on his face or in any of his features instead he began walking out of the room to go get his meal. He stopped at the door without looking back then called out, "You know where I am," then he left and made his way to pick up the meal. Once he grabbed his meal on the way out he quickly went to his room so that he could eat in silence taking fairly long strides as his stomach had started to rumble and stretch its vocal cords.

She almost called out for him to stay, but it would have been foolish. Selk grit her teeth as Vik left the room, and then turned her rage to Balthazar. "Why are you here?" she asked loudly, pushing the door closed after her friend left. "I don't want you doing this, Balthazar! You know that." The dark elf shook her head, sighing. "What do you need?" she said in a rough voice, slumping a bit in defeat. She leaned against the table, her hands on either side of her. Selk's purple eyes flit up to the half-elf, and she raised a silver eyebrow questioningly.

The fighting done, the plan somewhat explained, it seemed that the festivities were over for now. Truinthil shrugged lightly and left the room where the plan had been vaguely explained, moving toward his own quarters. He had already almost forgotten that stunt that Balthazar had pulled, putting an arrow just above his head. He hadn't even flinched. Arrows were hardly of any concern to him.
It was only a short walk to his room and once there he would do as he had done before. He sat upon the floor, cross-legged and closed his eyes, opening his mind to the world and letting the thoughts of those near by roll over him before passing into a state of calm that left his mind quiet. He was completely still, but aware of his surroundings despite his appearing asleep.

Balthazar Chuckled, "Since when have i ever needed permission to enter your room?" Balthazar watched vik leave the room with a small sense of satisfaction, "Doing what?!" Balthazar said acting innocent. Balthazar moved around the room rummaging through anything and everything he could get his hands on. " It has been a long time since you ventured down her Selk, Which leads me to believe something is going on... Is there?" Balthazarr stoppeed rummaging turning back to selk. "Plus is it to much for an old friend to see how your doing, to worry?" Balthazar stressed the word "friend"

"Worry from you gives me a reason to be wary," Selk shook her head, stepping up behind Balthazar and fixing the things he had disturbed. She grimaced when he mentioned not needing permission to enter her room. Then again, he had never needed it before. The half-elf had been one of the few that was allowed to visit her - even in her times of deep melancholy.
The dark elf glared down at the things before her. "I am here for this city," Selk eventually muttered. "I want it under my own ruling. It is time for a new matron." Raising her head, the dark elf brushed a few of the small braids away from her glowing eyes. "And that matron will be me."

The half breed finished his meal fairly quickly then he closed his eyes to meditate, his nerves had calmed but his mind was still racing and it was now worse than earlier. He needed to get this under control before it caused something to happen, but he figured it would all vanish once he started to get in a fighting mood. He opened his eyes, which were now golden as they usually were when he was not hungry or ready to fight, and scanned his dark room almost as if looking for an answer of some sort. He hadn't really taken the time out to think of how the others would fare in their respective assigments, and he now let his mind ponder that issue.

Balthazar looked up at her face when she mentioned a new matron, "You want to rule over all these people?, i never took you to be the ruling type." he raised one eyebrow as he stared at her. "What are all these non-drow doing here anyways, especially that one who was just in here. You know as well as i do the last time you did that to some one you never saw them again, why do you want to kill your mother?" Balthazar crossed his legs and sat down in front of Selk, "whats happened to you since i last saw you?" he said looking into her eyes trying to see if they gave anything away.

"Stop bringing that up, Balthazar!" Selk's black hands shot to the sides of her head, and she grimaced. "I know what happened last time. I have blamed myself for that incident for years, you silly half-breed!" The drow spun away from the man and leaned against the desk. "These people are here to help me obtain my goal . . . isn't it obvious?" Her voice was venomous, and her eyes bore into the stone ground before her. "I will take this house as my own. With, or without the surface dwellers helping me."

"Why dont you want me to bring this up? It did happen theres no denying it." Balthazar stared at the Selk. Slowly he moved behind selk, "Why do you want this house, you've never seemed to like it here." Slowly he placed his hand on her shoulder, "Why?" he said is voice dropping to just a whisper.

"Because," Selk paused, shaking her head as her anger fled from her form. "Because it's none of your concern, Balthazar." Her shoulders slumped a bit, and the elf let her head fall into one of her palms. "All that you need to know is that I want it for my own. I want it taken away from the Matron. And I want you to stop bothering me with such silly questions." Taking a deep breath, the drow turned to face the half-elf. "You always have been one for pressing the wrong buttons."

Balthazar stared at Selk, "it is my concern when one of my best friends, trys to get herself killed again." Slowly he smiled, "Youve always been so easy to push buttons, but atleast it helps me know you still have a heart some where in there." he said pointing to her heart. He slowly moved towards her, moving in and kissing her forehead "So do i get a spot, some one has to keep you alive dont they?"

With a sigh, Selk nodded wearily. "If you want to help, I can't very well make you leave now, can I?" She reached forward to give the half-elf a one armed hug before turning to the desk and pointing at a paper. "I'll need you to make sure that no curious onlookers came to see what's going on. If any of the other houses see what I'm going to do, they will destroy the entire Toshiba bloodline."
She shook her head, her braided hair slipping over her shoulders. "Protect me from outside forces, Balthazar. Please."

Balthazar sighed his eyes cast down at the floor, " How can i say no when you ask so well, if anyone does come do i have to clean up after myself?" Slowly balthazar turned away, sitting on the floor crossing his legs he laid back, his head finding something to rest on not caring what. "So when do i get to meet all these other people youve pulled into this?" just raising one eye lid to look at selk.

"Tonight," Selk said, moving to sit at her desk. Shuffling some papers about, the drow sighed. "I will gather than for a group session." She chuckled. "We all love group therapy, after all."
Looking toward the door, the dark elf frowned.
"Just to clarify, I don't want you coming into my room without me knowing." She narrowed her eyes and glared down at her old friend. "It is a bit intrusive."

Balthazar slowly opened both eyes, "One last thing, Where have you been all these years, I-I-I missed you--r games." He stammered catching himself.

Truinthil

Eyes popping open suddenly, Truinthil stood in a smooth fluid-like motion and without preamble began stretching. His abs, his back, biceps, triceps, shoulders, thighs and calves all recieved close attention in his stretching. His hamstrings and groin muscles received perhaps more seeing as they were easily injured in extreme situations. After perhaps thirty minutes of limbering up he stood straight once more and unsheathed his katana from its home upon his left hip. Closing his eyes he slowly brought himself into a stance. Blade held low, but ready, his whole body seemed to relax visibly as if he were just lounging in that position. Lounging would have been a true description were it possible to imagine a wolf relaxing while preparing to attack it's prey.
The world around Truinthil was irrelevant, yet all the more vivid as his mind entered a state where all emotion, fear, and outside influence were banished leaving nothing but his senses alert and aware. Bursting into motion suddenly, as if exploding after remaining still for several moments, his speed was incredible. His sword glinted in the dim light, cutting through the air in form after form, a seamless dance that while beautiful to watch was used for death and death alone.
Truinthil would continue this 'dance' for perhaps ten minutes before finally stopping, poised on the balls of his feet and blade thrust in front of himself. Taking a deep breath then exhaling slowly he settled flat on his feet and brought his legs together and with a brief and simple flourish sheathed the katana. Taking another deep breath he sat again and opened his eyes. He would wait now.

"You missed my . . . games."
Selk raised an eyebrow, but eventually shook her head.
"I like it on the surface," she admitted, leaning back in her chair. "The sun is too much for me to handle, but the people there are . . . good."
The dark elf stood suddenly. "We should gather the others. It is time to meet them all."
-
Selk stepped out of her room, knocking on everyone's doors as she walked past. "Come," she said loudly, "I wish to see all of you together once more." Which of these people will never see the light of day again? Who will live through this coming battle?

Holly shook Alex awake. They both got up and streached their arms and legs. Quickly Alex kissed Holly for a moment before taking her hand and stepping into the hallway. "Good evening Miss Selk." He said bowing. "Hello Miss Selk." Holly said also bowing.

Balthazar closed his eyes and sighed, "i guess i should get up, and i had just gotten comfortable." Slowly he got up sliding out the door walking in the oppisite direction as selk. Silently he slipped out and onto the roof, wanting to watch a bit more before he entered in. He heard new voices from behind him as he slipped out, one male one female, -What has selk gotten these people into- he thought.

Hearing Selk call for them Vik's meditative state was interrupted but he wasn't upset. He had been clearing his mind for the upcoming battle and he felt was more ready than ever to finish this mission up so that he could go venture the world for a while. The fairly tall and slender half breed was not used to be caged up in a place for very long and he had been here too long it seemed. Staying in the dark made you lose your sense of time but his body and instincts said it was about time to go and he was on board with the idea. Balthezar had caused his few precious moments with the female elf to be cut short but there was no harm done, he had gotten the reply he asked for and did not seem to feel regret so it was alright with him for the moment.
Walking out into the hallway Vik's golden gaze ran past all of his comrades, he felt that he had connected well with the group of miscreants. It had been some time since he felt that he was on the same level with more than one person at a time but there were a few in this group he admired for certain qualities. Not that he liked all of them because that was not the case but he would not attack them given the opportunity either. This battle would probably be the last time he saw most if not all of them because he had a few things he wanted to do for a little while, then he would settle down for a minute and see how that felt.
Vik looked at the soon-to-be matriarch of the Toshiba household with several emotions passing through his eyes, all similar with one that was drastically different. He didn't know what all she had planned after this but he was sure it didn't involve him, Drow didn't make such connections. This may be the last time he saw her, his first and only love again, but he had come to terms with that possibility and was fine with it. After all, life would take them in their respective directions whatever that may be.

Truinthil stood and exited his room without a sound except for the door opening and then closing. He would follow Selk on nearly silently feet, his gait a relaxed almost strutting stroll. The time for battle was at hand. He was calm, collected. When the fighting came he would be death incarnate.

Neam stood, exiting her room with near silence. The cut on her stomach was gone, but the cloth still showed that it was once there. She seemed calm, the air around her still and nearly oppressive. She waited for Selk to tell them what they were doing. She closed her eyes a moment, she felt older than just a few days ago. Not yet, let me finish this last thing before I go.

((Hehe, Selk has planned a battle to take over her Matron's house. Right now, we are gathering together . . . though it wasn't originally for the battle itself, I think I'm going to do something drastic. :P Selk is calling everyone together.))
Selk watched as her new companions appeared, her purple gaze resting upon Vik for longer than any of the others. Blinking, she forced herself to look away. "This might be the last time we all see one another," she said quietly, scanning over the surface dwellers. Raising an eyebrow, she shrugged. "I'd get used to the thought of being alone from here on out. The plan never goes as wished."
The dark elf looked over to Holly and Alex sadly. I don't want to take this from you. "Keep one another safe," she whispered. Closing her eyes, she shook her head. "Does anyone have anything to say before we go over the final battle plans?"
