Selk chuckled, and patted Neam's shoulder. "So it does." Moving to sit next to Vik. Instead of sitting beside him, she slipped into his lap, looping an arm about his neck. "The survivors of tomorrow's battle will be allowed to leave the caverns freely," she said, "And I will see to getting your weapons and armor crafted by the best of our smiths. I am willing to teach you to fight as well, if you wish it."
Kissing the side of the half-breed's head, the dark elf stood. "I heard it too, Holly," she said, tilting her head slightly. Running a hand through her multiple braids, the woman sighed. "I'll see to it." Drawing her serpent-headed whip, she stepped toward the door. Opening it slightly, she sent out a wave of darkness, levitating up before slipping into the hallway using momentum.
"Why are you rats digging around in my home?" she asked in a loud, ominous voice. "How dare you!"

((Sorry for the delay! Welcome to our story! ^_^ And Marsyas! Princess! Bad, children! Bad! *points to the corners* Go and sit in time out! NOW!! *mean face*))

((What... WHAT?!? Aww man... *makes pouty face and walks to the corner and sits down*))

Vik was a little surprised when Selk slipped into his lap but it didn't show instead he sat there and listened figuring she had something to say. Nodding in understanding to the first part he had to smile when she said she would teach him to fight, "I don't think you're a better fighter than I am Selk but maybe we can test that one day," he said in a sly tone. Honestly he didn't care if they fought one day or not what he wanted to know was what she would do when all this was over with or better yet what they would do. The worry he felt wasn't shown on his face but he did wonder, he figured it would be best to just wait until it was all said and done anyways. After all he may not be one of the survivors.

{*Crosses arms and shakes head* YOU CAN'T MAKE ME!...hehe I got you in trouble *Points and laughs at Marsyas.}

((*Mumbles silently in the corner*))

((*chuckle* Oh, no. You're the one in trouble, little miss. *smiles* Bad! You get to sit right there in the "special chair." That one is green. Marsyas get to sit in the pink one. *laugh* Now you two will sit there until you can be nice to one another. :feesh:))

{*Smiles and skips over to the green chair making faces at Marsyas* HAHA GREEN IS BETTER THAN PINK}

((*Makes angry face before speaking in between his teeth* I know... I hate pink...))

Niam was scared into immobility for a second then remembered the proper Drow etiquette. He started to bow his head, as a Drow guard would do while on duty, but felt it best, considering how angry this woman was, to fall on one knee.
He wanted to speak; to explain himself somehow, but couldn't remember who Selk was. He heard the name spoken in the room and it sounded familiar, but he just couldn't remember what her rank was and whether he should use 'Lady' or 'High Lady' or 'High Priestess.'
His sister remembered though. She had done the most research on the Drow, this city in particular, thinking that she would be in his place at some point. Instead she stood helplessly hiding in a nearby room hoping her brother wouldn't get himself killed.
He decided to play it safe and say, "My apologies High Lady. We, myself and another guard, have not eaten since we were put on duty several hours ago and were hoping for any scrapes you may give us."

Selk slowly drifted to the ground, the globe of darkness disintegrating. "You are not familiar," she said quietly, narrowing her purple eyes. "And who's in charge of your feeding? Didn't you eat earlier?" The dark elf shook her head, her silver braids flying everywhere. "Come," she said, sighing. "Scraps are not what you will eat."
Waving the two "drow" into the room, Selk led them over to the table. Pointing to the platter, she glared at it. "Think about food, pull it out," she said simply.

Holly sat back down next to Alex and watched the two who Selk brought into the room. She didn't trust them but decided if Selk had let them in nothing bad was going to happen. Alex continued eating in his own world not paying any attention to what was going on around him. When he finished he looked up suprised and looked over to Holly but she just shrugged not really knowing who or what the people were.

Neam looked through a curtain of dark red hair at the two Selk had brought in. She sniffed the air, having partially shifted to eat. Her cloak hid it from view, though, and she stood, leaving the now mostly bone hares where they were. She tried to catch Selk's eye, to make it easier to 'speak' to her, mind to mind. ~They do not smell Drow, dark elf. Beware.~ She hoped that her message got through without alerting anyone else that might possibly 'hear' her.

Vik sat and watched as the two came in behind Selk but he paid them no mind he was enjoying his desert now and nothing was going to ruin that. He sat there eating slowly but watching to see what would happen as the "newbies" came in. He didn't feel like they were a threat to him in any way so their presence was tolerated.

"Thank you High Lady," Niam said, following Selk's instructions. Niam and Amastacia tried their hardest not to think of their favorite Wood Elf foods, but it was what they missed the most so neither one of them wanted to lift the lid. Finally they sat down, removed the lid and began to eat. They removed only the smallest piece of armor necessary for them to eat so the creatures around them wouldn't see their sun-tanned skin and expose them as surface elves, at least not until they got away.

Holly stared at the two as they at finishing the glass full of blood and placing it down on the floor leaning into Alex as his arms wrapped around her. Alex wanted to know what they were just as much as anyone else. He couldn't sense it though because of the armor. "Selk what should we do with the empty dishes?"

The dark elf had seated herself on the edge of the stone table, watching the two newcomers with narrowed eyes. You're right, she struggled to say back to Neam. They aren't my kin.
Throughout the time that the new couple ate, Selk remained perched on the table-top, watching them intently. Their movements weren't drow. Dark elves ate far differently than these two did. Before she could state her thoughts, Holly asked what to do with the dishes. Blinking slowly, the woman turned her purple eyes to the vampire. She looked about before pointing to the middle of the table. "There are others who are to take care of such things," she stated, straightening her shoulders.
Slowly slipping off of the table, she moved to join Vik, stealing one of his blackberry dumplings and nibbling on it. Seating herself in his lap, the black-skinned woman leaned over to whisper into the half-breed's ear.
"Do you sense anything wrong with these two?" she asked, leaning back against him.

Vik was surprised when he didn't get upset at the woman taking one of his blackberry dumplings, he had really wanted them and they were delicious. Then as she asked the question he glanced at the two then at her and replied, "If by wrong you mean suspicious, then yes of course. They came in here unannounced and didn't even introduce themselves, besides that food their eating is wood elf cuisine. I spent some time with them during my travels and it is familiar to me." He spoke in a nonchalantly tone as if he really didn't care but his voice was low enough that only the lady in his lap would hear him. "To be honest I don't sense that they are a threat but I wonder why they are here is all..." he finished.

Holly nodded and got up picking up her glass and Alex's plate. She placed them in the center of the table where Selk had said and glanced at the two eating still wondering what the heck they were. Slowly she walked back and sat down Alex's arms wrapped around her and she turned her head to kiss him softly before pulling away and leaning on his sholder closing her eyes not really caring what else was going on around her. She would figure out what the two were at somepoint and really didn't care enough to find out now. Alex smiled softly and kept his arms around her as if to keep her safe from anything going on around them.

Selk nodded. "The instant they present any sort of threat," the dark elf muttered, her words more of a snarl. "I kill them." She finished off her small dumpling, nodding again. "Those are good," she said, licking her black fingers and lips. "I'll keep that in mind for later on."
Sighing, the woman looked over the rest of the people in the room. She was beginning to get eager - restless. It was time for battle - soon.
Wrapping her slender arms about Vik's neck, she sighed, and leaned against him.
"I hope nothing happens to you," she whispered, closing her eyes.

{HA! Now selk can't be mad at Holly and Alex for being in love!!!!!! :P}

Listening to Selk's declaration brought a grin to the half breed's face and then a smile when she mentioned that the dumplings were good, "Yeah this is my favorite desert, maybe we can have it again after this is over." He was sincere about his words he wanted to have dinner with her one on one once this was over. A slight change of mood came as she wrapped her arms about his neck and revealed that she was worried about him. Vik gently returned the hug as he whispered back, "I'll be fine, I have you to watch my back right?" The half vampire then stated, "You just don't do anything reckless..." He knew that the woman was strong but he didn't want her doing anything above and beyond the call of duty unnecessarily...
