Fayne fell silent then, merely listening to the Underdark around them as his purple flames slowly met at their feet, forming a circle about them before slowly dying off. "There is an area I think you'll love to see," the drow said quietly, his arm still around Holly's shoulders. Only to make sure she doesn't step off of a cliff or something. Right. As if that was the only reason.
Slowly letting his hand slip from her shoulder, the black elf moved forward, reaching back for her hand. "It's a building with crystal forming within it. It was the wonder of my childhood, a sanctuary from the city itself."
Leading the vampire forward, Fayne followed a narrow stone trail that led through the very middle of the city. His expression sullen as they went through the silent streets, the weapon master merely continued onward, his free hand lingering over a short sword at his waist. If they were attacked, he would defend the woman at his side with his life. Only because she's one of the Matron's favored. Or so he told himself.
The building they entered was made of the purest black stone, shards of crystal shooting out of it at random angles. Everyone one looked, a different gem or frost-like crystal shone back at you. One small beam of light would make the entire room shine. It was a tower, but the couple ended up stopping on the lowest level. "They won't allow us past this point," Fayne said quietly, knowing that despite the motionless silence, there were a few drow sentries around somewhere watching their every move. "But I thought you would enjoy this."

There was silence for a while before Selk replied, her voice seemingly coming from one side of the room. "Alright. If you can find me, catch me, then you can have what you want." The drow laughed then, playful and challenging. "If you can't pin me, then you will sleep with the lizards tonight."
They both knew that Vik would win - but it was the thought that he wouldn't that spurred Selk onward. The matron of the Toshiba house flit through the shadows, knowing that Vik would have heightened senses - but she was drow; she was born for stealth of differing sorts. Her scent slowly melted away as she withdrew a small pouch from one of the far wall's shelves, throwing a fine dust into the air before walking through it. No scent. He couldn't track her with smell. Sight . . . well, she wasn't sure how well he could see in the darkness, so the dark elf dropped a globe of darkness over the room, knowing that no light would be able to pierce it.
"Let's play, half breed."

((Vik: @ Holly... Psh, and? I was gonna get what I wanted anyways life is simply better when you have fun while you're at it :XD))

The half breed smiled when his challenge was accepted, having no doubts that he would win. He already moved without making a sound as it was so how would she know if he was coming? Besides he could smell her blood anyways but this was a game and he intended to make it entertaining. "Fine, that works for me," he called back after taking a few steps forward glancing in her general direction. Then he made a pivot and turned down an isle that was about three away from Selk's location as a smile graced his lips and his tongue drenched them in saliva from anticipation.

((Holly: Well we don't all think playing with our food is a good thing.))

The large black building made her forget the question she was going to ask. "It's...oh my gosh...It's...I don't even know. Beautiful doesn't come close to describing it." The hand Fayne hadn't taken reached out and touched the black wall and ran over the silky smooth rock to the jagged crystal. It shimmered brightly and she pulled her hand away, not wanting to get in trouble. Holly wasn't sure if this was a look don't touch thing or not. "This is pretty amazingfully fantastically wonderous." She giggled, looking up to the stone above them. "What is this place?"

(Fayne= needs to get a grip and face the fact he's falling for an awesome vampire named Holly.)

((Okay ROFL! Just thought about how funny it would have been if Holly and Vik liked eachother. They fight like an old married couple XD))

Selk laughed, muttering a few words under her breath. Suddenly it seemed as though she made no noise at all - even if she stomped on the ground, nothing would be heard. The dark elf dashed along the side of the room, making her way into the isles of books.
Dropping a second globe of darkness to cover the second half of the room, the drow slid past a few desks and tables soundlessly. I can only stay away from him for so long. But it was worth the fun.

With a grin, Fayne chuckled. "This is the tower of souls," he said quietly. "It was once said that the dead could wreak revenge while the living stood within these walls." The dark elf shook his head. "But that was just a fable. A legend that was proven to be a child's superstition many years ago." His own hand moved to trail along some of the onyx stone. "Now the crystals are used to fortify spells and buildings. For light. And for trade with other drow cities."
Giving the vampire's hand a gentle squeeze, the weapon master pointed to a particularly wide and open area. In the middle of the pillar-supported room was a small waterfall that seemed to cascade from the ceiling, pouring quietly over slowly shaped crystals. Rainbows of glittering water droplets and light sprayed a few inches from the gathering pool in the floor, giving the area the impression of being innocent.
"I used to play here as a child," Fayne said with a smile, stepping forward to kneel, releasing Holly's hand. Dipping his hand into the water, the drow chuckled. "The water is colder than anything else in these caverns. You would freeze if you fell into it." Luckily it was too small of a pool to drown in. . . .

(I like Vik's laid back style and his selfish mentality lol its awesomeness heh heh

Vik had to admit she was being difficult to catch but he could still smell her no matter where she went although she was silent enough, as the room was soundless. Catching another hint of her smell go dashing across the room he followed suit but not at a fast pace, he enjoyed chasing his prey... which is what she was for the moment's time. His animal like instincts had already set in and he was simply playing with his meal, as he had a tendency to do anyway but this time there was a little more meaning to this game. When he had finally caught up to her at his own pace he stopped as he stood behind her and tapped her on the shoulder, "Game over, woman," he said with a smug and sarcastic tone.

Selk had just knelt down, slowly peeking around the set of shelves before her, when Vik tapped her shoulder. Letting out a slight exclamation, she shoved away from him, suddenly lifting into the air. Levitating up a few feet, the drow matron lifted herself up near the ceiling, hoping it was high enough to keep her from Vik's grasp.
"Unless you can fly, I don't see you getting me down from here." A playful smile was on her face once again as the darkness on the floor dissipated, slowly forming in the upper portion of the room. Once again, she was wrapped in a cover of black mist - only this time, she knew that Vik would find a way to pinpoint where she was and strike her down. He had already won.

Vik had watched he jump into the air with a blank look on his face, surely she understood that he had a photogenic memory and if she hadn't moved he would snatch her right out of the air by the throat. Still he would enjoy the chase all the way up to the very end, and he smiled at the thought. He couldn't see her per say but he had a general idea where she was, so he crouched down into a three point stance with one knee on the ground then lunged straight up into the air, matching the height she had gone to. Then in a snake-like fashion he whipped his hand into the dark mist and latched onto something and snatched her down with him allowing her to land in his arms instead of how his instincts had told him to... straight down into the ground with him on top. With a bright smile now showing off his feeding fangs he announced, "Looks like I win, my matron." His eyes glowed a crimson red but he didn't quite have a feral look although it wasn't far off, the half breed was indeed hungry but he had no intentions of killing this light meal.

Holly knelt down next to him and touched the water careful not to fall in. The coldness made her skin tingle in delight. "It's not an everyday thing to make them feel the cold." Pulling her fingers along the surface she smiled. "I can see why you like this place so much. It's more magical thenbthe flames." She pulled her hand from the water and flicked the excess droplets at Fayen, holding back her laughter.

(Fayn+Selk= run and hide. At least Holly and Vik wouldn't kill eachother XP)

(That's only because Holly couldn't kill Vik if she tried and Vik is too laid back to waste his energy on bothering to kill her when he would gain nothing with her being dead lol)

Fayne flinched as Holly flicked the water into his face, and the dark elf frowned slightly. It was a playful action, and it confused him . . . at first. And then he decided to retaliate. Splashing some of the frigid water back at the vampire, the weapon master allowed a small smile to spread across his dark features.

Letting out a quiet "oof" as she landed in Vik's arms, the matron laughed breathlessly. "Good catch," she said, wrapping her arms about the half-breed's neck so she was more comfortable. "And looking good as ever." Leaning up, the dark elf kissed his jawline, resting her head on his shoulder. "Hungry, half breed? You certainly look it."

Vik stared at her with the same smile still on his expression, "Yes I am, now I suggest we head back to your room before I eat," he said. Then figuring she might want to know the half breed added, "You may be a bit weak when I'm done so you will need some rest." Sure they had come to the library so that they could do some research and whatnot but the half vampire's stomach told him that he had more urgent matters to attend to so, the studying would have to wait.

((Fayne: *stiffens* *crouches and hisses, blades slipping into his hands out of nowhere* <-- will fight to the death to protect Holly if need be. . . .))

Sophie walked out of the forest and onto a small, dusty path. her brown eyes searched around, looking for any signs of life. "I hope that i find someone"she whispered "And fast" she rubbed her arms from the cold and started to walk into town.
