"No." Alex said simply and turned back to Holly. "I have a bit of a bad temper and sometimes its not the best thing." Holly said looking right at Vik. "You should have seen the fight Alex and I had a while back." She giggled rembering how angery she was. Really she hadn't had a very good reason. Alex sighed and looked at the scar on his arm. 'yeah it was so funny.' he thought coldly. "Anyway...Vik I am going to try my best to get along with you. At least untill this fights over with, will you do the same?" She asked quietly.
|
"It's fine temper is nothing I'm proud of myself." the halfling said to Holly. "I like you Alex, your sensable." Vik looked at Holly while she explained that she had gotten into a fight with her bobufriend. Then it suddenly hit the half vampire, they had fought before? They gave off this perfect couple type image but it made sense because nobody was perfect? Then taking a quick glance at the wolf Vik noticed that he didn't seem too excited about the idea of that skirmish and it was his silence and demeanor that sparked his curiousity. The crimson eyed killer let a michevious grin slip from his lip then said with a flash in his eyes, "If I may ask, what exactly happened during this fight? And to answer your question I will avoid any further altercations. You have my word." Vik thought to himself that this would be a intertesting conversation to pass the time.
|
Holly looked at alex and leaned into him. She didn't like talking about what happened and alex didn't either. "Well I came home after hunting one night." Alex wispered the time replaying in his head. "I was still out hunting. When I came back to the house I hadn't found anything to eat. Alex was there waiting." She said closing her eye's. Alex didn't say anything he didn't like the next part. Holly kept going. "Well he came up and kissed me then I called him a few choice things the all had to do with him being a wolf." She looked at alex for him to start talking. "I wasn't happy and started to scream at her. She started to hit me and scratch me. You know how theres vampire venom in her teeth and she bit me which could have killed me. I changed into a wolf and well the whole house ended up burning down and we both ended up in the hospital....you can fill in the details." Alex ended with and stopped talking.

Neam watched in silent amusement for the most part. Never see the light of day, or the Lady Moon again? It didn't matter much, things had been put in order in case something did happen to her. Drider, for instance. She picked up a medallion, tracing the designs with one finger. "It matters not, the light of day will soon hold little joy for me as it is. My Twilight is drawing near," she said cryptically, sliding the chain over her head. "If we may, I would like to see the Underdark."
((W00t for the dark elf trilogy)) |
Vik listened to the story very intently and was amused quite a bit by the wild tale. "Thank you for sharing with me some of your darker history kind madam and sir." Vik's smile was that of an amused child as he did love stories that involved violence since that was all he had known throughout his life. It was second nature to him. He looked over at Neam who seemed to be speaking in riddles and paid her no mind. The silver haired halfling was ready to begin the mission.

Selk nodded to each of the people in turn, a slight smile growing on her black face. "Alright then." She paused between each word, drawing a deep breath between each of them. "Here. We. Go."
The drow motioned for the four of them to follow her, and tugged her hood further over her violet eyes as she stepped outside. "This way," she hissed, looking to Neam and Vik, and then over to Alex and Holly. "Follow me, and don't lose me in the crowd. We're leaving town quickly." They all paused many minutes later, regarding the people one at a time. "The entrance into the tunnels is not far from here. You will treat me as your matron; your leader. You will bend to my every will, my every request. None of you will look a female in the eyes, and none of you will ever, ever, say anything to anyone." Her glowing eyes glared at the four with intense seriousness. "Never speak. Never look at anyone in the eyes. And act like the lowest scum of the earth." She smiled slightly. "It will be difficult, but you will not draw attention to yourself that way." Stroking the medallion, which was a glorified version of everyone else's, the dark elf purred. "The Toshiba house has many surface dwellers as slaves, as fun. You are mine now, so act it . . . slaves." |
The word slave had an odd feel to it when it passed between the ears of the half vampire. He was not accustomed to belonging to anyone other than himself. Though he understood it was a cover and temporary it still was a weird word to comprehend. He had no problems with any of the rules since looking people in the eyes were only reserved for the beings he was killing. Though he had a feeling that if he loved someone he would look them in the eyes out of respect.
Vik looked over his allies once more before they set out to take on their new acting roles before the grand finale. For some reason he didn't want to see the young couple get hurt, he hoped it wasn't because he was going soft. He didn't think Neam would need much help being as there were few if any creatures who could stand up to the might of a dragon. Then his eyes slowly made it to their elven matron, Selk. He eyed her slender and tight figure flirtatiously though it was unintentional and when he caught himself he smiled gracefully. She was more attractive when she was in charge but he knew he would have to keep his eyes off of her while they were in public and he refused to jeopardize the mission for any reason. He thought silently, 'Maybe I will approach her later in private and change my prize though I doubt I will have the time.' Once he realized what had went through his mind he banished all thoughts and focused on the journey ahead. With his mind now clear of any and all distractions his focus was solely on the mission and he was as ready as anyone could get. |
((Okay...So...What's going on? I've been away a while, but now have internet again!))
|
((Truinthil! Welcome back! I pray you've been well. What's happened? Well, everyone's named their payment price, and Selk is having them help her. The five of them are just about to head out of town in order to go down to the Underdark and kill off Selk's family - they go under the guise of slaves. :D Shove yourself in where you wish, I'm open for more change. ^_^ I don't think we'll be back on the "surface world" anytime soon.))
|
Holly looked up at Selk when she said slaves. If she couldn't do anything down there besides fight she wasn't going to enjoy it. Holly went over and hugged Neam. "I know I don't know you very well but just in case." She said walking over to Selk "I trust you." Holly wispered hugging her and last she went up to vik smiling widly. "Your like the anoying older brother I never had" she giggled and hugged him. Holly turned to face Alex who was staring at her. "What I cant be a sentamental vampire?" She kissed him and looked at selk. "Ok I'm ready." Alex gave holly one last tight hug then looked back at selk waiting for her command. "Wait am I aloud to hold Hollys hand at least?" He asked.

Slave. The word was recognized by Neam, she had a few herself. But to be one? "This will be a new experience," she said quietly. She shifted her stance, suddenly looking less noble and more subservient. "Will this work?" she asked, from her hood, her eyes slightly duller than before. "I've acted roles, but this one is new to me."
|
"I'm thinking you'll all do fine," Selk hissed, seeming taller and quite a bit more broad. Her black hand strayed to a long whip that rested coiled at her hip. "Don't take anything I do to you personally from this point forward."
With that, the drow shoved Vik forward, nudging the four of them toward the mountians, toward the caverns. When they reached the dark entrance, Selk's eyes glowed bright. She glanced at the others. "I assume you can all see in the dark?" Her voice echoed about the blackness accompanied by the shuffling sounds of their footsteps as they stepped over small rocks and rubble. "If you can't grab onto someone's arm. Keep moving, and don't make any more noise." It was hours into their journey through the endless darkness when the heat began to rise. As they felt themselves being burried under tons of rock and soil, the darkness got heavier, the air thicker, and the heat more and more intense. There were slight noises that echoed out of the surrounding maze of tunnels and caverns, but nothing seemed to come toward them. Selk led her group onward, stopping only when she herself needed the rest. To signal the stop, she halted directly in front of Vik, elbowing him with a bit of force. "We stop here," she hissed, her voice grating and commanding. "No one moves from this small space until I think I'm ready to leave." Casting her purple glowing eyes over every one of them, her glare wasn't as fierce as it should have been, but more playful. "Make yourselves as comfortable as you can on the jagged rocks beneath your feet." |
"Yes, mistress," Neam said, a hint of smile in her own voice. It was barely noticable, even to those of sharper hearing. She sat, seemingly unbothered by the rocks. Her cloak folded neatly around her, hiding anything from view.

Stirring for the first time in what would likely seem ages to the others near him, the as of yet unnamed man stood and turned from the bar. His cold eyes looked over the folks near him, talking of payment, killing, and disguising themselves as slaves. It all sounded a bit interesting to him.
Standing, of course, brought him to his full height of well over six feet. Likely the man was pushing nearly seven feet tall which would have him towering over any of the others. Striding the short distance to as if to join in conversation, the man had a thoughtful look upon his face. |
Holly did as she was told and followed the others. Inside where they stoped the ground was hard and in some cases sharp. Holly sighed and stayed standing up. Alex hooked his arm around Holly not daring to look up from the floor. He didn't like this it seemed inproper and he wasn't going to enjoy not speaking to holly. He stood there silently waiting for selk to tell them to move. He almost expected her to yell at him for having his arm around holly. Then again slaves have feelings too and it could make holly look scared.

Vik adjusted his eyes so that he could see in the dark as he did when he hunted. Though he could not see faces all that well he could read body temperatures and so in turn his eyes were more like heat sensors that actual vision. He looked over his companions memorizing their body shapes and temperatures as he went along. Neam was the only one he didn't bother to memorize as her body temperature was so high she was glowing like the sun. She was most definitely a fire dragon if he hadn't noticed before.
Traveling was through the rocky terrain was not a big deal to the half vampire since he traveled quite often and on a variety of different terrains at that. Though it was interesting that he was the one to get shoved around and jammed when they were to stop and go. It didn't bother him as he felt like Selk had taken a bit of liking to him she wanted to inflict some minor pain on him. 'Maybe she's a masochist?' the silver haired halfling thought to himself with a playful smirk on his face. When the group finally came to a stop after travelling for some time, with Selk elbowed him quite forcefully in the gut at that, Vik sat down against a large stone next to their matron's feet. Though being a slave wasn't something he would adhere to generally he was not apposed to this role for the time being as it was an exciting change of pace and would lead to gallons of blood being spilled. He looked at the body next to him and adjusted his eyes more so that he could make out facial features. He looked over his companions once more and smiled the time to fight was getting just a little closer every step they took. |
Holly looked over at selk again and knew she was their 'master.' Alex pulled holly over to right near selk and sat down. He did really want to get yelled at even if it was fake. Holly sat down right next to Alex forcing herself not to say anything to him. She didn't even kiss him like she wanted to.
{:P no one responded to hollys random huggingness XD} |
((haha, I'll adjust that as time goes on, yes? *evil smile* Slowly, my friends, slowly.
Question: Does Vik have less body heat?? >.>')) Selk glanced over to Neam, flinching and looking away from her. "I'm going to have to get used to this," she mumbled, blinking slowly. "Each of you have heat signatures that would alert a drow to your presense nearly a mile off! Except you, Holly." Her voice was as low as it could be without turning into a whisper, and even then it seemed to bounce off of the cavern's warm walls. "When the time for battle comes, you'll be like beckoning sun's if I don't get some cloaking devices." The drow looked down at her own shielded form, her cloak acting as an illusion to fend off heat signals. Where her cloak and hood covered her, there were no bright signals or traces of heat - after all, dark elves saw the colorful trails of warmth in the darkness. Her violet eyes glinted with a bit of crimson as her heat-sensing vision allowed her to scan over the group of "slaves." Selk's gaze settled on the werewolf and vampire. "Holly, Alex," she said firmly, "Don't touch each other. At all." When it took the couple more than a few seconds to comply, the whip at her waist was in Selk's hand, and a loud crack echoed loudly through the caves. "Behave, worms!" The lashing weapon hadn't struck either of them, but it came awfully close to Alex's cheek. |
{I think he would but he still has some cause he's part human. Oh and O.O EVIL SMILE...NOT GOOD! lol}
Holly and alex both jumped. Quickly alex dropped his arms and move away from holly his eyes wide. Selks wip had come less then an inch from his face. He wasn't going to enjoy this. Holly brought her knees up to her chest and covered her head. Alex watched her sadly but kept glancing back at selk. He didn't like the whole slave thing. Holly on the other hand hateded it with a burning passion. She would kill Selk when they got out of here if she did anything to alex. Slowly holly looked up and turned to see the others then back to where Alex had moved to. She wanted to wisper I love you but didn't dare say anything. Alex muttered "Yes ma'am" |
((Yes it's half of a regular human's heat signature or body heat which ever you want to call it LOL))
|
"Affection is not to be shown amongst my people," Selk hissed, her crimson shining eyes narrowed. The black whip was coiled back at her waist quickly, hidden beneath her heat-sheltering cloak. "Not by the surface dwellers."
Looking back into the darkness, the drow motioned with three fingers. "Nehn," she said roughly, stepping forward. It was time to move on. It was a couple hours into their trek deeper under ground when Selk suddenly stopped in midstep, unmoving. Her violet eyes were wide as she listened, and her black hand flickered in some sort of silent sign language. Waiting for a few moments, hardly breathing, the drow used both of her hands to "speak" to someone in the darkness. Even to heat-sensing eyes, none of them could see the mysterious figure. After many different replies, Selk finally seemed to relax slightly. "Welcome to my city, Nazberran," she purred, suddenly taking on a dominating aura. "You'll see it in a few minutes; we're right outside the magical border that helps keep it hidden." The blackened towers were carved out of the cave's walls and formations, their design both elegant and strong. Most of the balconies were outlined in gentle glowing flames of various colors - blue and purple seemed to be the most popular. Barely any movement could be seen within the city, and absolutely no noise was heard. No light filtered from the darkened windows, no signs of life could be seen. A large stone rested in the middle of the city, it's ring of glowing fire slowly moving down it's surface - a clock, of sorts. If one listened hard enough, a haunting tune from a single music box would drift in and out of hearing from somewhere within the seemingly desolate civilization . . . as would the occassional scream of pain that echoed from within the depths of a drow's home. Drawing in a deep breath, Selk smiled. "Mm," she strode forward confidently, dropping her black hood. "This is going to be my city. I will rule this place soon enough." Her slender armored form was revealed as she pushed her mantle behind her shoulders, the spider-decorated leather smooth over her body. "Just keep in mind that you are mine, and mine alone. Do not meet anyone's eyes, especially the females. I have had insolent people killed for such disrespect." The drow woman stepped into the heat-laced city, heading straight for one of the tallest towers - the Toshiba household. |
Vik was amazed at the grandeur of the elven city. Elves no matter what type were apparently masters of many different arts including architecture. He was at a loss of words for the beauty of the city but quickly remembered that he ought to keep his eyes low so not to raise suspicion. He wanted so badly to explore the city and take in it's sights but that time would come once they started killing off Selk's enemies.
The half vampire turned his gaze to the ground and fell in line behind his master. He felt a small amount of sympathy for the young couple as they were so touchy feely with each other he just knew this would kill them. Though at the same time the thought made him snicker silently to himself the more he realized it. He did wonder how believable it would be for the other drow if she had to explain how she obtained Neam. Dragon's are not easy creatures to capture yet alone capture one alive. Vik let the thought go since it was not relevant to what they would be doing from here on out anyway. |
((Hmm. Seems I missed the traveling bit. Perhaps I'll find a way to insert myself at my own disgression.))
|
((*laugh* Or perhaps you can come in when Selk returns to the surface? Perhaps she forgot something up there, and needs to get it back. I can have her run into you that way, if it is alright with you. :D))
|
Holly followed quietly and didn't look up. When they entered the city she glanced around and looked back to the ground. She didn't really care where she was. Nothing mattered beside helping selk win the fight which she wasn't sure why she said she'd help in the first place. Alex walked behind Holly ever moment wanting to reach out and hold her tightly. She seem so small and week compared to the city they were in. Alex studied the sity then focused back on holly so he wouldn't look at anyone in the city.
