When I got the txt message from Eric my heart flew! I was so happy.

Eric walked her to his car. A Green '78 Chevy Nova. He opened the passanger door for her, the closed it and went around to the other side. The inside was nearly empty, and almost unnaturally neat. The only thing in the front is a single Snapple Bottle, which is half filled with water. "So, where do you live?"

She sat inside and crossed her legs, right over left. She broke her concentration and looked in his eyes.
"Kruger Road." |
"Cool. That's not all that far. I'll have you home in no time." He pulled on his seatbelt, then backed out of the parking lot. He set off to Kruger Road, tapping his finger on the steering wheel as he drove.

She looked at the radio and out the window. She would sneak little glances at him too.

While he mostly kept his eyes on the road, he would occasionally steal a glance at her to. After driving in silence, he asked "um, so, uh... do you want to listen to some music?". He hated awkward silences, and silence between him and Ichigo seemed worse somehow. He felt like the longer he was silent, the more likely she was to realize how he felt.
That's stupid, Eric. She's not a telepath, she just a beautiful girl who your girlfriend ralfed on, and now needs a ride home. He smiled over at her. |

She nodded slowly. "Sure." She said quietly. It was too quiet for her and she didn't know what to do about it. She took out her bag and took out a pack of gum. She put a piece in her mouth and looked over at him. "Want a piece?" She chewed with her mouth closed because it bothered her when other people smacked on their gum, and it bothered herself even more. |
"No, thanks. I can't eat and drive, even gum." He reached over and turned on the radio. It was set to the local rock station. He glanced at her "want to listen to anything in particular."

She just shook her head and smiled.
"No...there was just an awkward silence." She admitted. She put the gum in her back pocket and looked out the window. When they got to her house, she pointed to her driveway. "Here." |
Eric pulled in and leaned back. "Well, here ya go." He waited, wondering if she would invite him in. Nah, she knows you're seeing Sam. There's probably no chance of that.

She smiled and stood up. She sat by the car with her hand on the door.
"Uhm...would you...wanna come get a snack or something?" She knew if Sam knew she would just about murder her. |
"Um, well, sure." He turned off the car, figuring he had a class period and a half before he had to be at Sam's. Plenty of time to visit with Ichigo. He took of his seatbelt, hoped out, and locked the car as he went to the Front door with her.

She went in and set her backpack on the couch. She had a gorgeous house. Everything was sparkling and clean. She took out a pizza and went into the basement to let it thaw out. She sat on the couch and turned on the tv.

He went in and looked around. "Very Nice place you have here." He followed her down to the basement. "Your room's in the basement? That's... actually kind of cool."

She turned off the tv and turned on the radio. She put her head back and blew a bubble.
"Thanks...I guess. It's all to myself." |
"That's cool. Well, it's bigger then my room, at least." Eric sat on the sofa, then glanced over and smiled at her. "So, what do you normally do after school?"

She sighed and looked back up at him. She crossed her legs on the chair and put her elbows on her knees.
"Sports, but I have no practice or games tonight." She said happily. |
"Cool." He nodded, then looked around the room. maybe I shouldn't have come in. I don't even know what to do now. He leaned back against the couch, trying to play it cool.

She sat in awkward silence.
"So uhm...uh...damn." Her voice had lowered to a whisper by the last part. |
"um, uh." He desperatly looked for some way to break the silence. "Um... can I... still have a piece of that Gum?"
GUM! GUM! You're sitting on a beautiful girl's sofa an hour before you're going to see your girlfriend, and all you can do to try to avoid the REAL reason you offered to drive her home is ask her for GUM! He wished she wasn't looking right at him, so that he could hit himself over the head. Instead, he just smiled, hope she would take him at face value. |
She nodded and stood up.
"Here." She said, taking the pack out of her back pocket. She threw it on his lap and sat back down in silence. |
He picked it up, and pulled out a piece. He set it in the middle of the sofa, between the two of them. He chewed, and the sound of him chewing to the two of the not speaking started to bug him. He shouldn't have asked for the gum. Now how was he supposed to talk to her.
Idiot! He glanced over at her, then back at the sofa. Maybe I should just go. |
She wanted to smack herself in the face. She couldn't think of anything to say or do at this moment. She really liked him and didn't want to blow it, but she didn't want to make a move, he did have a girlfriend. She started panicking and sighed.
'Do something you idiot!' |
"Well, um..." he glanced around, then at her, then around the room again. "You, uh... hmm." Maybe I should just go. I'm so stupid. She saw me and Sam. Heck, I don't even know if she likes me. He got up, then, feeling like an idiot since he didn't want to leave, he glanced around again. "Um, do you have a bathroom here?"

She pointed to a door in the corner of the room.
"Right there." When he left, she put her head into a pillow and screamed. 'You have to do something! Stop sitting there like a bump on a log!' |
