Tsui carefully brought the water in and closed the door behind her and then set about undressing the priestess and washing her. And then redressing her in the dress. When she was finally done Tsui set a damp cold cloth on the priestess' forehead and sat down on a nearby chair exhausted. She rested her head on the bed and was soon fast asleep. What a strange first day away from home, strange but nice in a way.

'Im such a hassel..' Mitsuki opened her eyes and held her hand on the wet cloth that pressed against her forehead. She sat up slowly and looked at the young girl resting at the foot of the bed, such a kind hearted young girl. Mitsuki put on a gently smile and rose herself out of bed. She quietly grabbed a shaw from the closet and wrapped it around the girls shoulders, then sitting on the edge of the bed staring at her feet.
"Come here doll" She whispered holding her hand out to her staff, lazily the staff perked and hopped over. Mitsuki taking it gently and resting it onto her lap, what could she do, her staff had a mind of its own, it liked being warm too. Though it being only an object, the staff was something dear to Mitsuki, irreplacable. It was almost like a dear friend to her. As the staff lay on her lap, the dress lengthened and parted, changing to a soft pink, and the flowers sewn turn blue. "Oh your so stuborn" She smiled and placed the staff next to her. Standing again she looked into a mirror that stood at just the size the little girl was. She smiled shaking her head staring at the new clothing she was wearing, staff made it into a remarkable kimono, it must of been a beautiful dress before though. A small dresser was left to the bed, a single red ribbon and mantle laid onto it. Mitsuki tied her hair back, and to keep herself warm she draped the mantle onto her shoulders and tied a bow to keep it from falling. Mitsuki realized Aurelian and Tsui both resting, Demitrium must be doing the same. She walked to the shattered window listening to the pitter patter of the rain as it fell. She closed her eyes, remembering the day when she left her home, a rainy evening.. Everything was so sad, she opened her eyes and frowned. Hopping beside her was her staff, whom then she lifted and held close to her chest. The gem inside glowed, Mitsuki noticed, and examined it for a moment "with his esteem, there isnt a way he would accept me. And by the spell im under I highly doubt he could love me back" She said lightly staring back out the window. |
Aurelian stood when he heard someone stirr in the bedroom. He got up and knocked lightly before entering. He sighed when he saw Mitsuki standing by the window. He'd been slightly worried that she wouldn't be okay. He walked up behind her and looked out the window as well.
"You're quite troublesome, you know that? You should take better care of yourself. You had us worried." Aurelian paused and noticed he sounded a bit harsh. "Are you hungry? Tsui cooked up something before we found you. Would you like some?" He said motioning towards the kitchen. |
Mitsuki shook her head "Its kind to offer, but Im not hungry.. Thank you" She looked at Aurelian and smiled softly "If Im such a bother, I'll be leaving after the rain stops, dont worry" She said as she gently led him back to the chair. "Im a big girl, I can take care of myself" She said nodding, and walking to the window again 'someone thats destined to be alone for a long time anyway'
Silently she closed her eyes in prayer, hoping one day she will find someone. Her staff, was confident, that the very person was in the cottage.. Demitrium. Mitsuki didnt want to be a burden to them, or to show she had intrest in him either. She thought he would doubt her, or deny her. She closed her eyes, was she being obvious she had that in mind? [bed time~!] |
Demitriun had followed them in silence, he'd already long given up getting Tsui to willingly let go of him. So when she finally did, he flexed his hand to make sure it still had movement. She had a surprisingly strong grip. Once they reached the cottage, he had left the group. It was just force of habbit. He was too used to being alone, it almost felt awkward being near them. Instead, now he chose to explore the rooms of the building he would be staying in for the night. For the most part, everything was fairly boring, exactly what he expected the cottage to look like.
Pausing for a moment, his hand brushed over a couple of paintings hanging up on the wall. Demitriun liked art, he didn't get to see it often. Smiling softly, he turned and began looking for the others. What could he say? Despite the warning screams in his head, his curiousity had gotten the better of him, again. He found them in time to see Mitsuki at the window. Frowning, he entered the room, resting against the wall. "You don't need to leave...It's nicer to be with people...When you have the chance to..."He muttered, looking nervous. Both gloved hands gripped each other tightly as he glanced between Mitsuki, Aurelian and Tsui. |
Mitsuki looked over to Demitrium blushing softly, her eyes meeting his and then darting to the floor shyly "I know, but being in a group of four that all have curses upon them, it could become trouble." She paused "Some curses act oddly around certain people, am I right Aurelian.." Mitsuki frowned as she turned to the window staring out again silently.
She wanted to then and there pull Demitrium aside and admit she had feelings for him, but her fear of her own curse made her falter. Mitsuki sighed and looked over to the two boys again with a false smile. "I'll be ok" She said, not even knowing where it came from. She shook her head and kept to herself then |
Aurelian crossed his arms and scowled. "You'll be okay? I doubt it, but even if it were true they won't be okay. They'll probably exhaust themselves worrying about you if you if you leave." Aurelian said pointing to Tsui and Demi. "Whether are curses come together and cause trouble doesn't really matter. They cause us trouble when we're alone so if a little more trouble is the price we have to pay to have companions it doesn't seem like a bad trade to me. "
Aurelian turned from her and went over to Tsui. Gently he lifted her from the chair and placed her on the now vacant bed. He covered her with a blanket and then turned back to Mitsuki and Demi. "Try to stick around. Night." Aurelian then left the room. He grabbed the blanket from his pack and settled back into his chair. |
Mitsuki nodded and watched as Aurelian relaxed. She turned her attention to Demitriun and smiled lightly then looking away "You should rest to, I'll keep watch." Mitsuki grabbed an extra blanket from the other room and wrapped it around him, hugging him gently as she released it.
She softly hummed a lullaby she remembered from the temple, it was something the elder did to calm her down when she was sad. It was soft and soothing, almost melencholic. [Dx block and busy] |
When Tsui woke up it was to sunlight hitting her face from the window. She stretched and then noticed that she was in the bed. She blinked and slipped off the bed, landing softly on her feet and then noticing the two sleeping figures in the room. She smiled and then left the room. Outside she was greeted with a similar scene, Aurelian was asleep in the chair. She silently went to his pack and pulled out the parchment and pencil (?) she used before and scribbled a short note onto it before walking to the door.
Once outside Tsui let an expression of bliss cover her face. The forest looked so nice in the sunlight. She then picked a path and started out, the basket she held swinging gently with each step she took. |
Aurelian awoke and stretched. He got up and folded his blanket. While he was putting it back in his pack Aurelian noticed that his parchment was gone. He instantly thought of Tsui. Not seeing her in the room he checked the bedroom. Not seeing her there he looked around again.
Finally he spotted her note. Reading it he relaxed a bit. Aurelian grabbed his pack and headed out the door. He figured it wouldn't hurt to keep her company. |
Tsui finally spotted the bush she had noticed the day before and stopped before it, crouching to get at the berries and she started to fill her basket. This was fun. She had enjoyed going berry picking when she was younger, the serenity of the forest surrounding her and the sweetness of the berries she would occasionally pop into her mouth.
She heard something snap behind her and turned around quickly, falling over in her haste and looked up at the man before her. Somebody she didn't know. Somebody that was leering at her. Tsui's eyes widened and she scurried back a few steps. If she could have made a sound she would have probably whimpered. |
Mitsuki woke tiredly and looked around the room "Where is Tsui" She said sternly and stood up, she had a bad feeling that was rattling. Mitsuki picked up her staff "You wanna help being a bow for me?" She asked it, the staff oblidged and changed in shape "Check around the wood, she cant be far" Mitsuki pulled the mantle around her shoulders and flipped up the hood to keep warm.
She searched quietly, the gem in the handle of the bow glowed dimmly. Mitsuki knew if something was up, yelling for Tsui would be like a bekon in an abyss. She continued looking around, she wanted Tsui to be safe. Mitsuki got a little further, seeing a glimps of Tsui, and someone else before her, this man's aura wasnt Aurelian or Demitrium. Mitsuki climbed into a high branch of a tree, distant from the scene. She aimed the bow at the man, and fired. Sadly she wasnt a good shot, it only gripping onto the the cloth above the mans shoulder and pinning the cloth to a nearby tree. It should buy time. |
Aurelian had spotted Tsui picking berries, and had been about to make his way over to her when he saw a man approach her from behind. He ran to get to her before the man had a chance to hurt her. He watched as Tsui fell over and tried to get away. Then something wizzed through the air.
He looked and noticed that the man was now pinned to a tree by an arrow. Knowing it wouldn't hold him Aurelian reached Tsui. He pulled her to her feet and got between her and the man. "Tsui get out of here. I'll be fine the Priestess is around here somewhere. She'll back me up." |
He had blushed as Mitsuki hugged him when she gave him the blanket. Smiling he nodded and curled up on a small chair. Demitrium didn't fall asleep easily. He remained motionless, eyes staring at the floor. Finally, after what felt like years, he began to drift off. Occasionally he would jerk his head as he half woke up again, but soon Demitrium was fast asleep, shrinking further in the chair until the blanket hid half of his face.
As light spilled into the room, Demitrium's eyes snapped wide open. He sat up in alarm, looking left and right with a panicked expression. It took a couple of seconds for his heart beat to slow back to normal pace as his memories flooded back to his mind. Relaxing, he shrugged off the blanket and stood up, looking around curiously. Where was everyone? He began searching for signs of their whereabouts, and discovered Tsui's note. Now, normally he wouldn't worry too much from a note like this. Yet, something made him very concerned. No one else was here, that suggested someone was in trouble. Leaving the home, Demitrium began to run, his keen eyes taking in every change of his surroundings. Up ahead, he spotted Tsui and Aurelian with a man pinned to the tree, he also saw what may have been Mitsuki. Rushing forwards, he grabbed Tsui's hand tightly, hoping his curse wouldn't activate on the stranger. "Come on Tsui, he's right, we should go!" He muttered, tugging on her hand. |
Tsui nodded and held onto Demi's hand, her grip tightening, grabbing the basket with her other hand. She was scared really, she couldn't make a sound or anything to defend herself. She couldn't help but feel a little pathetic.
As the two ran back towards the cottage Tsui's knees finally gave out and she collapsed, clutching her legs to herself, tears streaming down her face, she had been so scared. ((...ew that looks so short...>.<)) |
Aurelian watched as Demi took Tsui back to the cottage. He was glad Demi showed up when he did. Aurelian didn't feel comfortable with Tsui going back alone in case the man before him had accomplices waiting. Once they were out of sight he turned his attention back to the struggling man.
"Alright what were you planning to do to the girl?" Aurelian asked fiercely. He proceeded to pull out his short sword and hold it pointed at the man. |

"What do you think I was just going to do with her?" The man sneered back. The man then took a closer look and recoqnized Aurelian. "Well well, if it isn't the bandit king. What are you doing here defending little girls? Does that mean the stories are true?" The man cackled. Aurelian scowled and looked over his shoulder to see if Mitsuki was close enough to hear. He hadn't actually told his new companions what it was he did for a living. "Shut your trap or I'll slit your throat. Get the hell out of here or I really will kill you." Aurelian said backing up a bit. "Can you still? Kill that is." The man joked. Aurelian growled. "Stick around and you'll see." The man frowned and not wanting to risk it turned and fled. |
Mitsuki jumped down from the tree, her bow, back to being a staff, but Mitsuki was angry. She ran forward to Aurelian gripping his arm and pulling it behind his back "A bandit? Your just a thief?!" She scowled, at this point she was furious. "No chivalry will come from the likes of you." She pushed him forward. "And I began to trust you. You probably hadnt told the others have you?" Mitsuki folded her arms growling lightly. "Im not cruel to tell them your secret, but you better tell them soon." She walked away and sat outside of the cottage.
She knew that she said those things out of anger, but then again, when she was in her kingdom, there was a bandit that stole something valuable, and also murdered the elder that was gaurding it. She had to shake off the thought and be strong for the other two, but maybe she couldnt.. She was always use to traveling alone now and then, maybe they would do better without her. Mitsuki looked into the cottage, she shouldnt, but she wanted to. She wanted to leave. Mitsuki pulled a little diary from her sleeve with an ink pen and began to write. "Tsui, your going to be the woman of the group, I want you to be strong. I believe in you, that you'll find a way to break your spell, I have faith in you. Tsui, be strong, and always remember to keep moving forward. Aurelian, I know I had yelled at you, and Im sorry, Please forgive me. Its something from my past that bothered me after hearing what that man said. I finally was able to read your aura, you have a true heart of gold. And Demitrium... Theres no easy way to do, or say this, but.. Ai Shitaru" Her name was written on the bottom, she hoped that Demi knew japanese, but in a way, she didnt. She slipped the note under the door and wandered off onto the yellow brick road, maybe to find the axeman, or the group that they would encountered a while back. [[ai shitaru means "i love you"]] |
Aurelian rubbed his arm as Mitsuki stormed off. He cursed and leaned against a tree. He swore to himself that if he ever saw that guy again he really would kill him for the inconvience. He thought about what the priestess had said and decided he would tell the others about his profession. If they rejected him, oh well, he'd just move on like he always did.
Aurelian eventually made it back to the cottage. When he opened the door something on the floor caught his eye. He picked up the note and read it. a heart of gold? Him? Aurelian sighed. "Looks like the priestess has left us again." He said mostly to himself since it looked like Demi and Tsui hadn't gotten back yet. |
Demitrium frowned as he knelt down beside her. He tentatively wrapped an arm around her shoulders before drawing closer to comfort her. This had been the first time he'd done such a thing for so long, it felt strangely nice.
"I'll carry you...You should rest, you can go to the bed again when we get inside." He muttered, gently holding Tsui as he stood, picking her up with him. He finally reached the cottage, surprised he was able to carry her that far. The door seemed slightly ajar, which must have meant Mitsuki and Aurelian were back. "If it's possible, could you help Aurelian?" He called for the other, not knowing that Mitsuki was missing. |
Aurelian heard Demi call him. He put the note in his back pocket and went to see what he needed. Seeing that he needed help carrying Tsui Aurelian nodded. "Sure I'll help. She isn't injured is she?" Aurelian asked more anger at the man forming. He took Tsui from Demi and carried her the rest of the way to the bedroom. "Rest up okay? If you need anything just call. He made sure she was comfortable before heading back to Demi.
He pulled out the note and handed it to him. "It looks like Priestess Mitsuki has chosen to leave us and I think she's not planning on coming back this time. She left the note as her farewell." Aurelian sat down and waited for Demi to finish reading the note. There's also something I ave to tell you. Aurelian said nervously. |
Tsui could only nod her thanks at Demi when he offered to carry her. She felt pathetic. But she was grateful for his help. She buried her face into his shoulder.
Tsui smiled tentatively at Aurelian before pulling the covers over her head and pretending to go to sleep. Truth was she couldn't sleep at all, she kept seeing flashes of the man leering down at her. She shuddered slightly and then stilled when she heard the two men speaking in the other room, Priestess Mitsuki had left...? |
Mitsuki strayed into the dark edges of the forest, she was far from lost. She whimpered holding her staff close to her and continued. She was alone, and it scared her. "Demi.." She closed her eyes and continued moving, the trees whispered amoung themselves watching Mitsuki's every move.
She stopped at a pond and sat beside it looking into its waters. A toad looked up at her and croaked, it startled her only for a second "Dear you.. You shouldnt scare people like that" She whispered. The toad looked like it was puckering its lips, she quivered "Sorry, my hearts gone. Someone else has it.." She paused "but he doesnt even know..." She sat there, and decided to stay in higher area. She climbed a tree and cradled herself into its branches and closed her eyes. She expected no one would look in the trees. She gently drifted to sleep, though it now is late-morn. She turned slightly and found a comfy place, sleeping then |
Demitrium shook his head in responce to the questions. Once Tsui had been taken to the bed, he leant against the wall, sighing softly. Truth be told, he had been genuinely worried for the girland he was glad she seemed to be alright now.
Glancing up, he smiled slightly to Aurelian before taking the letter. His eyes widened in shock and his grip tightened on the letter Mitsuki had written in her neat hand writing. "She shouldn't have gone! It's dangerous out there, she'll get hurt alone." He said, sounding both anxious and angry at the same time. Pausing, Demitrium calmed down almost as swiftly as his rage had risen. "What is it? Are you planning on leaving too?" He questioned in a softer tone, keeping his words quiet so they wouldn't hopefully disturb Tsui's resting. He glanced down at the letter. There were a couple of words, words he couldn't quite understand. They were in another language. It was times like this that he cursed his parent's shortage of money which didn't allow him to go to school, nor did it his younger siblings. "Do you know what this means?" He held the letter out to Aurelian. |
