Once she had fallen asleep Santo got up and shut the door quietly. He went to his own room, changed and went to bed. His first couple of days here had been interesting if nothing else. He hoped tomorrow would be interesting but with less bodily damage to those around him. Perhaps he was bad luck.

Rain woke up the next morning, groaning and rolling over. As soon as she rolled over, she fell off the bed.
"Holy FUCK!!!!!"
She got up and hope nobody heard her morning clumsiness.
"So much for good luck.. I thought people were supposed to have good luck around their birthdays..."
She got up and hopped over to her laptop on the table and sat down, checking her emails. A crapload of people had emailed her. Not too many, but not too little, and most were spam emails or people emailing how they needed to cancel their appointments. There was one, though, she was supposed to meet today. She checked the time, took a shower, grabbed her laptop and keys and made her way out towards the person's home.

Santo had his normal dream but otherwise slept well. He half way woke up and just enjoyed the comfort of his bed for another hour. Finally he was wide awake and knew he should get going. Throwing the covers back he got out of bed and trudged to the bathroom. He took a shower and did all the other little things like shaving and brushing his teeth. He had done his hair but did not bothering getting dressed. He kept the towel around him and went to his bag to pull out some old snacks. Ahhh the breakfast of champions a mass market couple day old danish. It tasted like crap but he was too lazy to go buy food. He turned on his laptop and began to type.

Hal woke suddenly and immediatly. He was wide awake and his hands were a little shaky. He needed his vodka, like...NOW. He huffed and ran his fingers through his hair, forcing those thoughts aside. Kitty was still asleep though she'd bloodied her bandage again and he set about re-bandaging it. It seemed that it had stopped bleeding sometime during the night but there was no reason to let her get an infection...

Ten minutes later he left the room and headed up stairs rubbing his eyes. He needed to get cleaned up...The company had given him another project and they wanted the first chapter done in a week so they could get the first volume out this month...He sighed.

Rain returned after a while, sighing and trudging up the stairs. She walked up to her room, unlocked her door and set her things on the table. Were the others home? Why not go meet them now? With a huff, she locked her door and went up the stairs to Hal's room, and knocked on the door.
Too late to turn back now..

Hal rose a brow when he saw someone he didn't know at his door..."Can I help you?" He aske tiredly.

"Hi. I'm Rain White, the new tenant here. I just thought I should come up and introduce myself and all. Sorry if I'm bothering you."
He looked and sounded tired, and she wasn't sure if he was angry or just not a morning person.

"Hmm," Hal mumbled. "Nice to meet you too, I'm Hal. I'm afraid I'm in no state to entertain guests and I've got a lot of work to do please, excuse me."

((Like Icy stated, the person living on the fourth floor is a creeper, so Hal will be kinda random and well...creepy xD ))

"What work do you do, if you don't mind my asking?"
Rain was curious, and she took a step toward the door and leaned on the doorframe.

"Mangaka, the company is just down the road...There's only two of us so they pile the work load..." Hal sighed heavily and put his key into the lock. "Most of them are put in the magazine but a few get published as their own manga if there's good enough feedback."

[[Sorry! I'm making oatmeal for my nephew. And cleaning the dishes.]]

"That's cool. Aside from the piles of work, I mean. Anywho, if you ever need help, I'd be glad to help you. Also, I speak Japanese fluently, it was my first language, and I read manga sometimes when I'm bored."
Rain smiled warmly at him, not knowing if he paid attention or not.
Hopefully he doesn't think I'm some psycho bitch..

Hal nodded and gave a small wave of his as he went inside and shut the door.

"Hmm. Interesting." Rain was certainly going to have to think about how to get this guy to even speak to her.
She knocked on his door once again.
"If you don't mind, Hal... Would you like to take a walk, maybe go to a park and sit down and enjoy ourselves? I haven't had the chance to talk to a lot of people, and I was wondering about you, you seem like a pretty interesting person."
She stepped back and waited for some kind of response.
"You can bring your work with you, if you'd like to..."

Cove was in his usual spot as of lately, sitting in a random spot on the stair case. He sighed, leaning back resting his head on the step behind him. He was considering going to see how Hal was doing. But he figured everyone wanted to be alone right now. Cove closed his eyes as he rubbed his hands over his face, leaving his hands to cover his face.

Santo hadn't done much and instead of staring at the computer screen he decided to get up and get dressed. Once he had his suit on and made sure he looked just right he left his apartment. Locking the door behind him he started down the stairs. On his way down he spotted Cove. "Hey Cove how you doing?" he asked as he stopped near him.

"Well, Hal, if you ever think about taking up my offer, just come down to my room."
Rain bounded down the stairs and saw Santo talking to another male. She made a mental note to meet him and talk to him as well. She waved at them, not knowing if they noticed, and went into her room, plopping down on her bed.

Hal breathed in relief when Rain finally left...His hair felt disgusting and he hadn't eaten anything for few days...beside vodka...He went to the bathroom and prepared for a shower.

After getting redressed he peered into his fridge and found some week old grapes that were starting to look a little wrinkly but didn't seem bad yet. He examined each one carefully before eating them though...

He considered what Rain had said before about working outside...He'd never thought to do it before...Hal had always stuck to the dark recesses of his apartment, especially after that happened in middle school...He flushed and his fists clenched...

Tentatively he reached for his supplies and considered whether he could work outside...He had an artists bag he bought from Deviantart so it should be transportable...He bit his lip and finally decided to go with it.

Cove opened his eyes and dropped his arm. "Hey, Santo." He said with a smile, as he stood up. "I'm alright. How about you?" He pocketed his hands into his purple hoodie. Cove leaned against the hand rail, playing with a strand of his hair.

"I'm okay just a bit hungry. Kitty's been hurt and is confined to her bed at the moment. I was wondering if you wouldn't mind taking me on a brief tour of the town. I need to find the store and get some things. I'll treat you to lunch for the favor," he said to Cove hoping he wasn't busy. He desperately needed to fill his fridge and get some other items as well.

"Yeah sure!" Cove and started walking down the stairs. "I was thinking about going out today anyway." He paused and glanced back at Santo. "You got any kinda place in mind?"

"Ah great I really need the help since I don't know my way around just yet. A grocery store might be good or a Wal-Mart if you have one. As for lunch it can be your pick okay," he said to him. He was glad Cove had agreed. He would have something to do today and he would get some errands done as well.

"Bilo Foods is a good grocery store." Cove started walking down the stairs again. His left hand slid along the handrail, humming as he went maping out the tour in his head. "Cooool." He stopped at the bottom, turning to face Santo.
