"It's okay to be a sap. Sometimes when you bottle it up inside for so long it can't help but leak out," he said still hoping to comfort the nice woman. He walked into his new apartment and let out a little whistle. "Yes this is very nice. I think I will like it here very much. Yes I would be grateful to have your help," he said with a smile. He noticed her tears again and wondered how he could help. He said in a friendly tone, "No worries, you can let your tears fall around me and I promise I won't tell a soul." He gave a wink letting her know he would keep it a secret.

Kitty looked at him with care, "thanks the only problem is i can't tell when it's gonna happen, The emotional range i have is smaller than a human, but the human part of me still feels them and it can be agrivating, especially when it could affect the business. I don't understand it much myself my parents were found when i was still young and we others were still looked down on."

Looking at her gently he said,"From what I have gathered so far it won't hurt your business too much. You are far to kind I think for it to bother anyone into leaving. If people look down on you for what and who you are they are just small minded bigots not worth your time." He thought perhaps he could get her mind off of depressing things and said lifting his laptop case, "So what's the place to put this thing?"

She giggled, "there's a jack behind that desk and the kitchen desk to when i designed this place i figured give them options. Right." She smiled, brightly, "I'm glad you came maybe you can bring some friendlier smiles from my other tennants. Not that i don't love them. I'm not sure i'm capable of hating anyone."

He always gave genuine smiles but this one held pleasure and happiness. She had laughed and it made him glad. She was far to sweet to be so sad. Laughter seemed more natural to her lips than sorrow did. "Good thinking on your part. Options are always good to have," he said and pulled out his laptop and plugged it in at the desk. He turned back to her and said, "I hope so. It would be nice to get to know some new people and I prefer the friendly kind. Of course you couldn't your too much of a sweetheart." He gave her a wink. He liked her. She seemed to be friendly and open and honestly it was refreshing to meet someone like this. Her feline features were even cute he thought letting his eyes wander. Quickly he moved his eyes back up hoping she hadn't caught that. . . then again maybe it would boost her confidence.

she turned red her tail came up to her nose and like when people rub there fingers under there nose her tail was doing that, "awww shucks...." Here ears flicked backs a few times to. she giggled, "Well i'm just gonna go get my dusting stuff, You may wanna dust off the desk before you turn it on," even though she had gone through and did a thorough cleaning of the rooms, while Hal steamed off his book. She turned and grabbed her tail and walked like alittle nervously out the door, Then she ran down stairs, and grabbed her box.

"Okay I'll be here waiting," he said to her as she went to get her things. Once she had gone he let out a small chuckle at her response. So she had noticed after all. Well it was good for her to know that men still found her attractive. He didn't bother turning on his computer yet since he didn't plan on working right away.

Kitty walked back up the stairs and to the room, "Hey ready to clean!" She joked she would do it all of course it was one of her favorite things, "Oh and if you ever want someone to clean your appartment just ask me." She thought a moment, "might you be hungry?" |
"Good so I am. Looks like you've kept the place pretty clean so it shouldn't take long. Yeah I am a bit hungry maybe after I get my things put away we could grab something to eat. I do need to learn the area and was hoping to find a store nearby. I would like to pick up a few items for myself and the room. Ah also, while I remember, do you know any local artists? I would like to purchase a few pieces to hang up if that's okay," he said to her hoping for some help.

"Hal is a mangaka, and i do some painting, i don't do much outside of this place i don't think there are any artists," She blushed remembering her last painting, "Nevermind I don't paint anymore." She grabbed a cloth and sprayed it for cleaning, she started on the shelves.

He thought about this and decided to proceed cautiously saying,"Well then perhaps when I meet Hal I can talk to him about it. If you don't mind me asking, why don't you paint anymore? I would love to see some of your work." He wondered if she would show him around town but decided to wait on that matter.

She turned red as she cleaned a stubborn spot that didn't exist, "I just, well, the last time i painted I was working on a nude painting of my husband, we weren't married long and it always ened up with sex, before i could finish a session cause well, yeah, um... his fault most of the time, now painting just reminds me of those moments when we were at our most vonerable and exposed." She felt the tear his her hand and put her hand to her face.

Santo went over to her and gently place a hand on her shoulder saying softly, "I'm sorry Kitty. I did not mean to bring up things that would hurt you. If it is too award for you I won't ask again." He softly moved his other hand to her check and wiped away some of her tears. He was glad however that the memories called forth, though painful, were good ones.

"I'm sorry, I'm gonn go downstairs for alittle bit, I need to be alone," she said, her voice sad her face red from tears and embarasment, "Come down in a bit and we can go out and I'll show you around."

He simply said,"Okay," and let her go. He hoped he had not made the situation worse by touching her. He knew some women were really bothered by that. Once she was gone he closed and locked the door and began to put his things away.

At some point in time, Cove at rolled onto the floor off of his couch. But some how didn't wake up. His arm was underneath his head like a pillow as he dreamt. "Neh...Noooo, Don't wanna right now, guys!"

Kitty went to her room and sat on the bed, "Why can't i get over what happened," She looked at herself in the mirror, "Monster. That was it that day. That little kid. Heh it's been a year since i let it affect me so i can actually feel this pain. I'm not a monster I didn't kill him." She put her hands to her face and let the pain sear through her, She had lied to make it seem less painful. Sure there were times when she didn't notice it till later, but right now deffinatly true pain. "Santo, Tatsu, I just don't know what i'm gonna do." She liked Santo he reminded her alittle of Tastu only more attractive to the eye but still that big heart was just infectious.

It didn't take Santo long to get his things put away. He had his laptop, of course, and mainly his suitcase had been filled with his clothes. He had been told once that he was worse than a woman when it came to clothes. He couldn't help it, he liked looking nice. It just so happened he had the money to live the way he wished. There were only a very few who really knew that the author Gabriel Davis was actually Santo DeMaro. He liked keeping his life away from the public. However, the more famous he got the harder it was to let it stay as it was. Part of him was debating on whether or not to continue writing.
Now that he was done he decided to pop downstairs. If Kitty was still needing to be alone perhaps another one of the tenants would be around. |
Kitty heard the footsteps a quickly got control of herself washing her face and breathing deeply. She walked over to her office and looked in the mirror, her face was still red but ohwell.

He heard Kitty's voice and cursed inwardly. He hadn't meant to disturb her when she needed some time alone. He called out in a friendly voice, "Yeah Kitty it's me Santo. You don't have to worry your pretty head about me. I know you wanted to be alone for awhile so I was just planning oh taking a short walk. Maybe get a better feel for my surroundings and all." He would prefer company but felt maybe he was bringing up too many memories for her that she was not yet ready to deal with.

"I wanna go to." She wanted some fresh air, she felt off suddenly, "I'm sorry, I jusdt don't wanna be alone, anymore.......I mean me and alone anymore could provide fatal." She blushed and her ears flicked

He gave her his best smile and said, "Well we wouldn't want that now would we." He held out his arm for her take like they did in the old black and white movies. He had been raised with strict manners on how a man treated a lady. "Shall we go my lovely landlady," he said teasingly but friendly still.

"Why thank you my kind tennant, what would you like to see?" She couldn't help but smile, it was infectious.

He was glad she was smiling again. He opened the door and said, "I suppose it might be best if you chose our course since you are the more knowledgeable one here." He teased her lightly and enjoyed the fresh air. He wasn't a camper or anything but he did enjoy being outside. "I would like to pick up some odds and ends if there is a store near by."

She thought a moment, "I wonder if Cove would be interested......nahh," She sighed the boy should rest his parents were exhausting. "Ok up the street, there is Bilo Foods, and mall, shall we go that way first?" She smiled up at him.
