Santo's smile widened and he said, "So how are you feeling Kitty? Better I hope." He looked at Hal and said, "How have you been Hal? Seems I haven't see either of you in a while. Oh yes before I forget Rain's birthday is today. I've got a cake and some food cooking and I was thinking all of us could celebrate."

Kitty smiled beet red, "I'm feeling pretty good after another trip to the hospital."

Hal smacked his forehead. "I forgot! I was going to make her a cake! and yeah....We've all been crazy busy as of late..." 'not anymore,' Hal thought dully. 'I just had to go and free up three stink'n weeks didn't I?'

Santo had to remind himself not to overwhelm Kitty so he did not take the step forward he that he so wanted to. He said with worry in his voice, "Again? Are you sure your okay?" He had to tear his eyes from Kitty when Hall spoke.

He said, "Ah don't worry I've got a cake baking. I can't promise how great it will be. Hopefully it's somewhat tasty." Looking back at Kitty he said to both of them, "So will you both be able to come?"

Rain rolled her neck around once and decided to go find everyone else.

Kitty nodded, "Yeah I'm good now Zale fixed the problem it was my own fault for tying to clean it alone." Kitty sighed coming out from behind Hal, It hurt her for some reason not to feel on good terms with Santo, "thank you for helping me so much the other day."

Rain walked out of her apartment room, not locking it. She went to the stairs and yelled, "Helloo.. You guys upstairs or down?" She waited for a reply.

Hal rolled his eyes at Kitty's shyness. It suddenly occurred to him why Kitty had wanted to do a double date. He smirked slyly and asked in a light playful voice. "Hey, Santo...I've gotten myself into date with Mochi, remember me mentioning him in passing? He's a bit of a stalker you see...I don't really want to be alone with him very long...you never know what a person like that will do!" He pulled a desperate and frightened look, even bringing his hand to his mouth and forced some tears to fall. "W-will you come with me! Kitty suggested a double date but we weren't sure who to ask...Would you go with us as Kitty's boyfriend?"

He gave Santo a wide-eyed innocent gaze of desperation.

Santo said, "Hmm I hadn't thought of where. Perhaps in one of the apartments? Time I figured I would find out if everyone was free before settling on a time."

He turned to Kitty and said, "About that. . I am very sorry for my behavior and not respecting your boundaries. It was rude of me."

When Hal spoke up again he shifted his gaze and listened. He was a little shocked at the request but said, "Well I don't mind helping out and I can understand about not wanting to be by yourself. That is if Kitty wants me to go." He looked at Kitty and sort of hoped she wanted him there.

He heard Rain and gave a small shout, "Yes were at Hal's doorway."

"Thank you so much Santo!" Hal made a relieved face and let a few fake tears fall.

"I'm free for the whole day so the time doesn't matter for me. The party can't be in my apartment though, it's a bit packed..."

Inside Hal laughed maniacally. While Santo was a little too sweet for Kitty, she liked him too much to let the opportunity pass...

Rain took three steps up the stairway, and stopped. I can't go up there like this! Well, I can, but still. I don't want them to all stare at me and whatever.. Rain sighed and continued up the stairs. They'd have to deal with it, she got bored like everyone else on the planet Earth. She continued up the stairs, and saw them, and waved before walking over.

"Hey guys! What's up?" She smiled at them. "Oh.. about my outfit. Don't ask, I got REALLY bored and was tired of playing my music too loud so I decided to play dress up." She blushed at how childish it sounded. "So what are you guys doing?"

Kitty was beet red when Rain showed, up she didn't know what to say she knew this girl liked santo, she looked intensly at santo, or as intensly as she could beet red to her ears, "That sounds good to me," she was still in her pj's.

She looked at herself and inched to the stairs then down them.

Santo replied to Rain, "We're talking about your party. When and where we should have it, what do you think?"

He turned to Kitty when he heard her answer and gave a big smile saying, "Okay then it's a date." He was by far too happy and he knew it. He had just met her and this was not like him.

A date? Rain smiled, or tried to, trying to hide it. "Well, we could have it in my apartment, at any time, after I take a shower in a minute." Rain watched Kitty leave, beet red and all. She sighed. She knew Kitty liked Santo, so basically Rain knew she had no chance at all. Kitty was absolutely gorgeous even banged up and missing an eye. "Well I'm going to go get this make-up off and get some other clothes on." She turned and flopped down the stairs, sad and mad. She walked into her room and slammed the door, pulling off her dress and left it on the floor, walking to the bathroom and going into the shower. She watched the make-up go down the drain and she felt worse without it. I'm never going to get anywhere as pretty as Kitty is..I think Santo likes her, too. Damnit.

Kitty thinking of what Rain had on, pulled her white dress from the closet and went to the bathroom, she washed where she could, she probably had started to stink.

Cleaned up she put on her pantyhose, and her best bra, she slipped the short dress on it fell to her mid thigh, and had a slit on her left thigh up to her hip bone, and the ruffle fell to two inches longer. She slipped into her red Platforms. Her hair she washed and ran a pick through so her hair would curl nicely.

She went to rains room and knocked on the door, "Rain dear wanna do hair and make up?"

"Tear it out of these open pages. Women and kids of all ages. Millions of men with blank faces. Italicised lies, headlines, bold type." Cove sang softly, his fingers moving along the cords. He imagined, Michelle, the girl from this band singing along to her parts.

Rain had just gotten out of the shower and put her dress back on. She always thought better. She heard Kitty's knock and opened the door and looked at what Kitty had on. She was instantly jealous. Would she wear that with her date with Santo? "Really? I just washed mine all off. Besides.. you don't need your hair or make-up done. You're already gorgeous." Rain so wished she was prettier. And had a better personality for sure. Kitty had both. Some people were just blessed by Kami.

"well then could i do yours?" she felt bad she somehow knew she had just ruined the girls day.

Rain was startled. "Really? Oh, Kitty.. I-I guess so." Rain opened the door wider and closed it after she had entered. She grabbed her camera, forgetting her laptop on the table, and went into her room and placed it there, then came back and almost turned her computer off, looking at the picture, and sighed. She'd thought she looked so beautiful in that picture.. but having Kitty there, Kitty, who was the ultimate definition of gorgeous, she felt so plain and crappy now. Her eyes started to water and she held her tears back, wiping at her eyes. Look at me. Childish. Almost crying over things like this. No wonder.
