"not a soul will find out this is girl time right now, K." She giggled, "fake purring is always interesting to me anyway, being a cat and all." She started at the top of her hair brushing softly, "Your hair is nice." She then started twisting braiding and curling it.

Rain closed her eyes, feeling Kitty's hands in her hair. "Thanks," she muttered. She purred once and sounded somewhat like a cat when Kitty's hand touched a certain spot. "That feels good. Right there." She blushed and tried not to open her eyes.

Kitty finished the hair and turned Rain around, "No peaking." she pulled out her huge make up box and opened it pulling out the side parts, "You are going to be the most beautiful girl at the party even if it's only the two of us, I'm 30 have small wrinkles and flax hair, your's shines like the night sky and your face will glow with beauty."

Cove set the guitar back in its case, the pick still in his hands. He stared at it, and then kicked the case off of the table and onto the floor. Falling over he curled up into a ball on his couch.

Rain felt herself blush. "No, Kitty.. I could never be prettier than you. If I looked in the dictionary next to gorgeous, your picture would be right next to it. I'm not even joking. You don't look your age at all." Rain bit her lip again. And that's one reason why Santo likes you.

She shook her head, "I don't look my age because of the Lycanthopy, you don't look your age because of genetics, you are beautifully human. you don't have calico ears and a tail that doesn't match anything. You also don't have to worry about doing something you love and watching......a......loved....one....get...k-k" She was sobbing into the girls lap, "I'm sorry rain I keep ruining your birthday, but it was so vivid like it happened yesterday, i'll be a year tomarrow, and i can't help wishing he hadn't gotten in the way." She sobbed her make up tools had fallen to the ground.

Rain started sobbing along with Kitty. "I'm going to tell you something that nobody else knows. I'm.. I'm an assassin. Or ex-assassin. I want out of those days. That's one reason why I'm here instead of Japan. In Japan, I'm the most wanted girl. I've killed so many, killed my comrades, watched my brother die right before my eyes.. My father used to train me and beat the shit out of me.. I was being used as a killing tool. I-I.." Rain stuttered and fell apart, falling to the ground, out of the chair. She put her face in her hands and sobbed.

Kitty wrapped her arms around the other girl, "My husband, how could I have killed him with out looking back till i realized i got him and not that little boy." She sobbed with the other girl. 'this has to be the worse thing she could have for the girl on her birthday."once we cry this all out I'll make it as if we never cried a drop."

Once Kitty had left Santo had said a quick later to Hal before heading to his apartment. It was a good thing he had left when he had since some of the dishes he was making were done. He covered them and set them aside. If the party did not happen till later then he would put them in the fridge.

Once Santo and Kitty left Hal had gone to work on Rain's birthday present. It was last second and Santo already made a cake so...He'd have to wing it...

Rain pulled away from Kitty gently when she had finished crying, and went to get a box of tissues, handing Kitty a few and wiped her own face, blowing her nose. "Uck... SO, what now?" The corners of her mouth turned up in a smile as she sat down in the chair, facing Kitty.

After she blew her nose and tossed it towards where the trash can should be. "now" she rested a motherly hand on rain's cheek, "No more crying, I'm sorry for making you cry on your birthday. We are both murderer's and well i think everyone here knows what i did but I won't say a thing." She patted Rain on the shoulder, "You should sit back in that chair and let me turn you in the princess you should be." She smiled. "no peeking so i'll wash your face first."

Cove was staring up at the ceiling through his finger, his guitar pick inbetween his teeth. He had one leg raised, bent at the knee and the other leg resting over it tapping to an imaginary beat. Closing his eyes, he threw his guitar pick on his table, aiming for the case. He rolled onto his side, facing the back of the couch.

Santo went and knocked on Rain's door saying, "Hey Rain I've got some of the food done and wondered if you wanted me to bring it down. After that I was going to see who else was around and maybe we could get things started."

She heard santo knock and gave a start, she cleared her throat, "Can we have a little bit more girl time? THanks though Santo." she said kindly, and softly.

"Oh well then excuse me and sorry to interrupt," he said and walked away. He went to Cove's apartment and knocked on the door saying, "Hey Cove you home it's Santo."

Cove rolled over onto his back, "Its open...didn't bother locking it." He rested his head on the armrest of the couch, turned his head to look at the door upside down.

Santo opened the door and walked in. He sat down and said," How you doing Cove. I hope you don't mind me sitting down but I think I need to just chill for a moment. I hope I'm not intruding on anything."

Done! Hal flicked the pen in a flourish and eyed the present to make sure there weren't any problems. It looked fine enough and he sighed in relief. That was fast...

"Could be better. How about you?" Cove shrugged, turning his head to look over at Santo. "Its cool, dude." He smiled, sitting up now. "Yeah..once and a while everyone needs some down time or something..." He shrugged again and then shook his head. "Nah, just staring at the ceiling thinking.." Cove sighed, closing his eyes for a moment before looking back at Santo.
