She laughed, "in some pain, i had to rush to the hospital this morning, cause i was being stupid, flustering over last night, not being able to sleep and wanting to do nothing but sleep. Other than that not bad." She sighed, "Also never let me paint."

Santo said to her, "I'm sorry things haven't been going well Kitty. I hope things look up for you." He thought about earlier and said, "I'm looking forward to this double date. I'm glad you guys don't mind me tagging along."

She blushed and tapped her toe tip on the floor, "Me to." Her tail was between her legs her ears were in the nervous cat position. She was hoping this wouldn't upset

She then looked up at Santo, "I'm sorry. I just took out my stupidity on you, I don't mean to." She smiled and blushed again when she looked at Santo, she took a step close to him a hair had fallen from it's place on her head, "sorry, but it had fallen, you must have been working hard, Thank you for this."

Rain was going to get up and help Cove with his things when she heard 'double date.' She stopped and turned, listening to the conversation, watching Kitty's nervousness, her blush and the whole nervous cat charade and an aura of jealousy surrounded Rain. "Excuse me, but I'll be in my room for a minute," she said between her teeth, and spun around, walking to her room and closing the door, sinking down to the floor and leaning against it. I knew it. They like eachother. Why else would they be going on a date? Even if it is a double date, still. Kitty wouldn't be nervous like that, and I'm pretty sure Santo wouldn't be smiling like that. I should just friggin give up and stay the hell away from guys.

Hal pulled on his heavy duty boots and buttoned up his thick coat. Sunglasses covered his eyes and he slung the pack over his shoulder while reaching to the kitchen table for his cell phone. On the way out he dialed Mochi's number. It only rang twice before going to the answering machine.
"Yo," He said dully through the speaker as he set his foot at the top of the second floor staircase and continued down. "We'll get this date shit over with in 9 days, 6 o'clock in front of the apartment building. I'm bring two others so it's gonna be a double date. Leave a message on my cell after you get this, though I won't be able to be contacted for a weeks so don't bother."
He clipped his phone shut and put it on Kitty's front desk for safe keeping.

Kitty instantly felt bad, she looked up at Santo, "You know she likes you." She pointed out. "I feel horrible about this it's her birthday she should enjoy it." She sighed and looked at the door out to the hallway. "I should probably go."

Rain looked around her room, leaning her head against the door. She saw her katana and thought about her ex-comrades and how she helped with the ritual.. She flinched. Senpukku. Never. Besides, nobody here is willing to cut my head off anyways. She sighed and tried to think about other things besides Kitty and Santo. Dogs? They're the opposite of cats.. ugh. I could really use my icecream stash right now.

Hal left the Apartment and hailed a cab to take him to the next town over so he could snag a plane to Tatarstan or at least a flight to the continent.

Cove was standing in the doorway, holding onto two of Santo's dishes he had made. He walked over to the table, and placed them on the table. Walking towards Rain's room, he knocked on her door. "Rain?" His eyebrows knitted together in concern. "Raaaaaaaaiiiiiiinnnnnnnnn?"

Kitty sighed, and slumped to the floor holding the gift. "THis is all my fault, if only i hadn't looked so pathetic when we met. I just can't get over the fact he cared so much. Maybe he's to good for me?" She thought of how curteous he was, how kind, how neat, now good the food he made smelt, 'but i bet Hal's tastes better.'Kitty got up and joined cove at the door, "I'm sorry Rain. This keeps happening, I don't know what I can do to make your day a bit better." 'maybe if Caide was here. He's pretty neat. No another man isn't the answer.'

Rain heard Cove through the door, and Kitty's voice followed. She got up and opened the door, rubbing her arm. "I guess I'll be okay. It's.. I don't know anymore." She sighed and leaned against the wall. "It's not your fault that he likes you. And I don't try to fall for people as quickly as I do." She rubbed her temples, and groaned. "Though it is my fault that we're not all having fun right now. Why don't we just start over. Food, cake, happiness. I think I have some wine coolers in the fridge, though I'm going to limit you guys on those because well, we don't want everyone stumbling out of here." She grinned.

"Not that anyone's driv_" A prickling hit kitty's neck. "ing. sorry bout that there's something I will probably have to do later is all."

She was thinking looking at the food. "how bout we all make a plate and Rain make and extra plate and we go chase down the brooder." She giggled, "I'm real sorry but everyone should have a good day, and i think there's a gift on your door." she remembered the shuffling that had to have been Hal, from earlier.

Cove smriked and nodded, stepping to the side so he wasn't blocking her doorway. "And we're gonna have lots and lots of fun and good times.." He slid his hands in his pockets, "All becauses it your birfday." Looking

Rain smiled. "Lets get this started then!" She stepped around Cove and moved to the kitchen doorway. "What do you guys want to drink? I have plenty of sodas and things in here." She looked back over her shoulder and waited for an answer out of one of them. "I'll get the present in a minute off the doorway. It must be from Hal, right? He seems super anti-social, well except towards you. And I could just see him doing that." She smiled, the corners of her mouth turning up. "I wish everyone could come, like that one girl, whats-her-face? Jade? Something like that. It starts with a J. I really want to know everyone in the apartments well, you know?"

((nevermind it must be done now. Stupid parents coming to get me.)

The prick in kitty's neck wouldn't stop, "Sorry it seems I have important business in my room. I'm really sorry."

She stood up and walked out of the room and then bolted down the stairs into her office. She found Hals note and read it, "Yeah yeah hal your not the one i'm worried about right now, it sounded mean she knew, but there it was a crisp black envelope with a K on it. "Kyusai i know i have something I have to do real quick." She sat down and pulled out her own purple envelopes that matched the black ones. She wrote fast One for Hal one For Rain one for Cove and one for Santo.

She ran placing them by their rooms.

When Kitty ran out the room, she scratched her head. "I guess it's just you and me, Cove. So, want something to drink?" Rain began to feel like a party pooper. She just had to go and run in her room and make Santo leave, and now Kitty had left for some unknown reason. Hopefully Cove didn't have to go anywhere any time soon. She really needed someone to hang out with today. She heard steps by her door and walked by it, opening the door and finding a letter as well as a package taped to her door. She picked up each and closed her door, reading Kitty's letter first. She smiled to herself when she saw Kitty's signature. She sighed and placed everything down on the couch beside her, putting her head in her arms. "Everyone's leaving. I thought today was going to be one of the best days ever, a new start as Santo put it."

Hal walked out of the terminal, exhuasted from the plane ride. He saw a familiar face waiting for him. She was older, but she was still quite pretty for someone in their line of work.

"Ma-ma!" He called with a smug smirk as she turned around on impulse only to realize what she'd done. "Hey!" she cried. "I ain't your mama! How many times do i have to tell ya!"

Hal just sniggered and pulled her into a hug. "But you are! In all but blood, just like dear papa!" She gave him a scornful look. "Do you realize how awkward it is when you say thing like that in public? It seems like incest..."

Hal pretended not to hear her and scanned the crowd. "Where is he anyway?" He had resorted to such childish ways again...really, the boss would be annoyed if he heard him now.
Good thing he wasn't here then.

"Oh, 'Papa' has been promoted she said with pride. "And he's working on collecting everyone." Hal nodded, feeling proud as well. The two headed out of he airport and climbed into a cab.

Hal climbed out of the car and stretched as his 'mom' shut the door on the door and paid the cab driver. They were outside of a run down hotel that clearly hadn't been properly taken care since World War 2 started though id the shadows flickering through the windows were any indication, people clearly still inhabited the place.

"So, mama, you mention papa got a pretty promotion, what about you? There's no way you wouldn't be rising up the ranks with his!" The woman just shook her head and smiled. "Don't be ridiculous! Of course I've shot up with him! We didn't have a brat like you hanging around to babysit so it was smooth going once you were sent off."

Hal rolled his eyes stuck his tongue out at her.
