[ Zeb is effing hilarious. Cove thinks he is too. ]

Cove nodded as he closed his eyes and sighed. He rubbed his temples, with his good hand. "I'm scared. So very, very scared." HIs voice wavered at the last sentence. His hand covered his face.

Hal stared flatly at Kitty's open arms. He didn't hug people. It was creepy. He shoved his hands in his pockets and headed toward the door. "Yeah yeah but if someone magically gets pregnant I'm beating another someone up."

"Long story short, I went to help Hal rescue Rain from these two guys. I fired three times, only hit him once. In the ear. Guy fired three times also, he got me twice. Hal got him. Thank God. Then Rain helped me upstairs to her apartment, and then we made cookies after she wrapped me up. And here we are." Cove glanced at Santo then at his shoulder. "Rain and I are going to go to the hospital tomorrow." He touched his hand to his shoulder, pulling it back looking at the red that stained it now. "I have a feeling they're gonna make me stay because I'm sick too. Mehhh." Cove made a face and then coughed into his hand, and then rolled his eyes. "I hope they don't. Me and Hospitals have a bad history. I swear they want to harvest my organs."

Santo listened carefully to what Cove said and knew he would have to talk to Rain later on to find out what this was really about. He got upset too than none of them had decided it was best to go to the hospital but he calmed himself down not wanting to be angry at Cove. From the sounds of it this had happened because he was defending himself and the others.

Santo looked at Cove with concern and said softly, "I understand not wanting to go to the hospital especially if you have a bad history with them but your wound is serious Cove. If you want I could call a medical friend of mine who would be willing to come here. He's patched me up a few times and is a professional. Would you be willing to do that?" He hoped that Cove would agree.

Cove mulled it over in his head for a few minutes, and then nodded. "Yeah, that'd be nice. I shouldn't be leaving or moving around a lot for a while now." He smiled, turning his head to face Santo. "Thanks." Cove moved so he was leaning more onto his good shoulder. "Thats better..."

Kitty pouted, "Hal...." She thought about what he said, and replied, "What do you mean by that." She followed him. "A house cat and a furbin can not inpregnate each other, easily anyway.......It's never happened before."

Cove nodded, taking the pillow and placing it under his head and then laying back down. He closed his eyes, trying to rest like Santo told him to. His shoulder throbbed, but he thought about else. Like the cookies him and Rain were making back at her apartment. Cove started mumbling song lyrics, "I'm a mess, such a wreck, don’t forget about it. I drag myself through the dirt just to feel a little closer to the ground, because I've always had my head up in the clouds. Take a second and look down, I've got my name on a string, tangled up in lights, despite the fact that they are working. I live my life on the line to find a way to be unforgettable." He opened his eyes, looking up at the ceiling and then sighed. When Santo turned back to him he nodded and smile, "Awesome. Thank you, Santo. I seriously owe you my life and more." Cove turned his head towards the door, hearing a knock and then Rain's voice. "Yeah, I'm in. Come on in. Doors open." He coughed into his hand, closing his eyes again.

Hal tilted his head down as he left. He hadn't even thought of that...He'd meant a certain someone up in Cove's room and Kitty herself...Now he had terrible images in his head, get out bad images out!

Cat food cat food...brush brush...fluffy bed fluffy bed...and a litter box. He wouldn't need much else.

"We're having chinese it's all ordered I'm gonna set it up in the laundry room with that table in the center people will have to bring there own chairs." She giggled, "Sorry for those images." She had no clue what he really meant and was just trying to make him laugh. She shrugged and went back toward the bloody mess." She sighed at the mess her appartment was in, "6 hour's i'm gone and this happens!" she yells to herself. She ran to her room and grabbed gloves and a mask, her super blood sanitizer cleaner, and a bucket of water and many different scrubbers. she started at the base of the steps and made her way up slowly making sure not to miss a thing. Stopping for a moment to run to the outside for fresh air. Tears streaming down her face, 'what happened to little cove?' Shecovered her sobs so noone would be bothered but some other people's saw and came to ask her what happened then she would growl and show teeth her ears back and tail down.

Coming back from the store, bag clanking loudly for every step, Hal noticed Kitty outside the apartment. He was about to ask what was up but she started crying and Hal REFUSED to deal with a crying person. Instead he backed up and back-turned into an alley, poking his head around the corner to watch her.

He didn't want to wait there for hours, just until she stopped crying or had gone inside...preferably both.

She shook her head to stop herself, She growled at herself. How many people had bleed on her floor before. She took a deep breath and slipped the Maxk back on and returned to cleaning after refreshing the water and tossing some sponges. when the building what hopefully clean again she took off the mask......

Santo smiled at the boy and said, "You owe me nothing Cove. I just want to see you okay." He heard the knock and watched as Rain came in. He needed to talk to her but not at this very moment. He listened carefully to what she said.

He said softly, "I've called a professional friend of mine who should be here soon. I don't think we should wait to go to the hospital and since Cove doesn't seem to have much luck there I thought this would be a good idea. Who ever this 'idiot' is I think you should have some help Rain but perhaps we can talk about that later."

As soon as Dante had gotten the call from Santo he had headed out. For Santo to be willing to ask for his help meant either things were really bad or he was desperate. . . . more than likely it was both. Dante had always liked Santo and not in the lets just be buddies kind of way. No matter how nice Santo's ass was Dante preferred to breathe and knew that getting involved with the bosses son was a good way to end up at the bottom of the river.

Dante speed up and flashed through an intersection on the way to the address Santo was at. Of course he had called Santo's father right after the call and got the okay from the boss and info on where to find him. It would be interesting to see what sort of place Santo had chosen this time. Dante felt badly for the guy and knew how often Santo had tried to get away from his family ties only to fail. Santo was a golden goose and his father wouldn't let him go so easily.

Soon Dante was in front of a nice little apartment building that didn't really seem like the sort of place Santo would be hiding in. Not caring all that much Dante walked in and asked the first person he came across, "I am looking for Santo Marsalis DeMaro." Dante was a big man of 6 feet 10 inches and was a barrel of a man that was all muscle. He had pitch black hair nicely cut and black eyes.

Cove just smiled and nodded, and kept his eyes closed. "Alright, Santo." He opened his eyes, looking at Rain's hand on top his. "Yeah, I was about to say…Santo called someone. They opened up. I bled all up and down the stairs." He moved a little, trying to get comfortable again. "I should've stayed in your room." Cove ran his hand down his face, then rested his palm on his forehead, "My head hurts. I wanna like…sleep for a really long time and then wake up." He opened his eyes looking between Rain and Santo. "Did'ja guys know I loves you alls?" Cove sat up a bit, wincing. 'Need. To. Stop. Moving.' He gritted his teeth, his head falling back against his pillow.

Kitty fell on her butt when a strange man came in. She was disheveled her hair everywhere blood stained her royal blue dress now ruined by the blood and bleach, she had forgotten to change, her hair was kinda frizzy and her monocle was falling.

As she stood, she fixed her Monocle and smoothed her dress, She was up a step and still had to look up to see the man's face, She sighed, "I think He's visiting a friend sir, lemme see." She was exhausted and the food would be there soon, she was also confused, she shook her head to get her mind on straight, "You're not gonna take'im away are you? Cause......eh, nevermind." she walked up the stairs running her fingers through her hair, she whispered to herself, "I guess he'll have to deal with my frantic look," she turned back to the tall man, "Come one for some reason I trust you." She knocked on cove's door, "There's a man here to see Santo."

Dante followed the disheveled woman to the apartment door. It appeared that the disheveled look was due to some sort of disaster rather than pleasure. He knew that he had the right place.

Santo said to Cove, "Don't move okay, just rest. And we all love you too Cove." He wished Dante would arrive soon, he was getting more worried by the minute.

Not waiting for the person inside to answer the door Dante simply walked into the apartment and took note of everyone and everything. He walked briskly over to Cove and said to Santo, "Not too much of a guess that he's the injured one here. I brought all my tools just in case. I need you Santo to be on hand to fetch them if needed. To start off I need hot water and towels."


Santo simply said, "Yes Dante." He got up and got the water and towels so his friend could take care of Cove.

Dante got to work immediately and was glad for the boys sake that Santo had called. It was a bad wound and had they let it go much longer could have even been fatal. It didn't help that the boy was sick.

Kitty found herself not needed again, and went to change into jeans and a confy T. once changed she brushed her hair and drank some coffee, then set up the laundry room for all the food though she'd prolly be the only one eating. She changed her mind and posted a note for the chinese dilivery to bring it to her office she had room in her fridge. She sighed and retreated to her paint room curling up in a ball on the floor the door shut tight.
