Kitty was lost, "What did i see something that wasn't there?" She thought she saw something that would eat her appartment. 'oh dear'

"Where have you been..." A rash voice called out from behind the glowing television. He didn't even look up or comment on how soaked she was. He didn't seem to care about anything other than... "Where's my dinner?"

"I...I...forgot it..." she muttered, drying her shoes on the carpet as he perked his eyes over the set and gave her a harsh look. She prayed he wouldn't get up...with no such luck.

"What kind of wife are you?" He yelled, kicking back the chair he'd been occupying to stomp towards her with his hands outstretched. "Do I have to remind you...?"

"No!" She screamed, lifting her hands to block her face, but not in time. He slammed his fist into her cheek, likely blacking her eye. He stood taunt and heavy as she fell to the floor holding her face. He huffed and went back to his chair. "Lucky me and the guys already ate..." he said as simply as if he'd been telling her the date.

She lay on the floor for a few more minutes, sobbing and too scared to move. She had to be quiet, because if she cried too loud he'd hear her and yell at her for being weak...and hit her again.

She brushed herself off and smudged the tears and blood from her white hair, standing. "I'm going to Molly's...you know, a girl from work...her...mother's on her death bed..." she sniffed back a few tears, and continued in a whisper, "I'll be gone for a few days..."

He didn't respond, just drank his soda and went on.

So she ran to her room, packed one small tote bag with all the things she cared for and shot out the back door, towards the apartment, and her chance at a new life.

Kitty disapeared only to come back out in a black and red casual dress, with her hair held up, with a clip and little black top hat. "Thanks for waiting." Her feet were now in black sandals with a red ribbon.

Cove leaned against the nearest wall. "Hey its no biggie. Once and while we get important phone calls." He closed his eyes for a moment, rubbing his temples.

Jaize showed back up through the darkness soaking wet, with a bag of clothes. Her face had already begun to turn a bright purple.

"I think I might stay in tonight..." she whispered as she neared the group, Kitty in a lovely black dress and Santo had reappeared. "I hope you all don't mind..." she did her best to keep her face in the shadows. Isn't that what people in such situations do?

"sure you ok, she started to say." She was a cat so the shadows did nothing, "One minute guys," she went up to Jise and whispered, "i'll bring a comprese, k?"

Jaize felt tears rising to her eyes as she flinched. She hadn't meant to when he'd gotten close, it was a reflex. Softly she shook her head. "It doesn't matter...."

It's always odd when someone notices, because for the first time instead of feeling guilty, she felt like perhaps she didn't deserve it.

"ok you don't have to be extra open about it. I'm just happy you've got a safe place to live, and if he comes here you have a family to care for you. I'm still gonna go get the comprese for you then you can go rest I'll check on you when we get back." She looked at santo, "Back she needs to rest not be pestered about it."

Bent at the waist in a deep bow, with a few tears streaming down her face. "Thank you all...and I...I hope he never....never does..." she breaths through short sobs.

Kitty wrapped arms around her, "come on please, let's go upstairs and lay you down, there is a comprese in the first aide kits in each room." She just wanted her to rest undisturbed.

Cove snapped out of his fog, turning to looked over at Santo. "Uhm, couple years? I actually don't remember." He laughed a little. "Its kinda like a blur.." Then he cleard his voice. "I'm pretty simple..and weird. I spend most of my time dancing jumping off of stuff. I like running and photography. Thats basic me." Cove smiled at Santo.

Jaize allowed Kitty to lead her away after she righted herself, climbing the stairs to her new room, her new home while leaving her (hopefully) new friends downstairs. She'd wanted to thank them again, hug them, apologize...but the words didn't come. She felt bad for not saying more, and for making them think she was a weak woman even for that instant. It was the main reason she appeared stark and cold to any who hadn't seen her like this. She wanted to seem strong to strangers, to pretend.

Jaize dropped her bag as soon as they entered the door, moving to the unsheeted bed and sat down while Kitty dug around for the first aid kit.

Lacey nodded and waved a silent goodbye to Hal. Suddenly going to the Gym didn't feel so good. Maybe it was all that commotion on the main floor, yeah, that must have been it. So instead of taking a short break from the world to jog, she made her way to the main floor. But upon arrival, she saw that there was only one other person there. Being the friendly type of person, she waved, but decided against saying hello. Lacey abrubtly felt that urge to unpack, kind of like the ones we all have ever once in awhile. So she raced upstairs, trying her best not to make so much of a commotion that it would disturb the guests. Her room was right in the center, making it perfect for solitude and a bit of peace. She dug straight into her duffel bag, which was crammed full with her personal belongings and clothes. She pulled out her favorite red jeans, sneakers, and hoodie. She slipped them on just for a moment and felt like she was young again. This thrilled her immensely, so she just left them on and continued unpacking. When Lacey was finally finished, she brushed herself off and admired her work.

Kitty found the compress and broke it and started to shake it and mold it o it got cold, "mew Thats cold. towel" She grabbed one of her paper towels that she had put in there, they were thicker then regular towels so it would work. She got up and went to the bed room and went to Jaize, "Miss Jaize put this over your eye ok."
